Johannes 21
1 Später offenbarte sich Jesus noch einmal seinen Jüngern am Meere von Tiberias, und zwar offenbarte er sich auf diese Weise:
After these things, Yeshua revealed himself again to the disciples at Lake Tiberias. He revealed himself this way.
2 Simon Petrus, der "Zwilling" Thomas, Nathanael aus Kana in Galiläa, die Söhne des Zebedäus und zwei andere seiner Jünger waren beieinander.
Shimon Kipha, Tama called the Twin, Nathanayil of Qatne in Galila, and the sons of Zabedai, and two others of his disciples were together.
3 Und Simon Petrus sprach zu ihnen: "Ich gehe fischen." Sie sagten zu ihm: "Wir gehen auch mit." Da gingen sie hinaus und stiegen in das Boot, sie fingen aber nichts in jener Nacht.
Shimon Kipha said to them, "I'm going fishing." They told him, "We are also coming with you." They went out, and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing.
4 Schon dämmerte der Morgen, da stand Jesus am Ufer. Die Jünger wußten aber nicht, daß es Jesus war.
But when day had already come, Yeshua stood on the beach, yet the disciples did not know that it was Yeshua.
5 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Kinder, habt ihr keinen Fisch?" "Nein", sagten sie zu ihm.
Yeshua therefore said to them, "Children, have you anything to eat?" They answered him, "No."
6 Hierauf sprach er zu ihnen: "So werft das Netz aus, rechts vom Boote, dann werdet ihr etwas bekommen." Sie warfen es aus und vermochten es vor der Menge der Fische nicht heraufzuziehen.
He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." They cast it therefore, and now they weren't able to draw it in for the multitude of fish.
7 Da sprach der Jünger, den Jesus liebte, zu Petrus: "Es ist der Herr." Als Simon Petrus hörte: "Es ist der Herr", legte er sich das Oberkleid über - er war nämlich unbekleidet - und sprang ins Meer.
That disciple therefore whom Yeshua loved said to Kipha, "It's the Lord." So when Shimon Kipha heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around him (for he was naked), and threw himself into the lake.
8 Die anderen Jünger kamen im Boote nach; sie waren nicht weit vom Land entfernt, etwa zweihundert Ellen. Sie zogen das mit Fischen angefüllte Netz hinter sich her.
But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away), dragging the net full of fish.
9 Sie stiegen ans Land und sahen ein Kohlenfeuer angelegt, darüber einen Fisch und Brot dabei.
So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish placed on it, and bread.
10 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Bringt von den Fischen, die ihr jetzt gefangen habt."
Yeshua said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have just caught."
11 Und Simon Petrus stieg ins Boot und zog das Netz ans Land, mit hundertdreiundfünfzig großen Fischen angefüllt. Obwohl es so viele waren, zerriß das Netz doch nicht.
Shimon Kipha went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fish, one hundred fifty-three; and even though there were so many, the net was not torn.
12 Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: "Kommt her und frühstückt!" Und keiner von den Jüngern wagte zu fragen: "Wer bist du?" Sie wußten ja, daß es der Herr sei.
Yeshua said to them, "Come and eat breakfast." None of the disciples dared inquire of him, "Who are you?" knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Und Jesus nahm sogleich das Brot und gab es ihnen, ebenso den Fisch.
Then Yeshua came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise.
14 Das war bereits das dritte Mal, daß Jesus nach seiner Auferstehung von den Toten sich seinen Jüngern geoffenbart hatte.
This is now the third time that Yeshua was revealed to his disciples, after he had risen from the dead.
15 Nach jenem Frühstück fragte Jesus den Simon Petrus: "Simon, Sohn des Johannes, liebst du mich mehr als diese?" Er sprach zu ihm: "Ja, Herr, du weißt, daß ich dich liebe." Da sagte er zu ihm: "Weide meine Lämmer!"
So when they had eaten their breakfast, Yeshua said to Shimon Kipha, "Shimon, son of Yukhanan, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
16 Und er fragte ihn ein zweites Mal: "Simon, Sohn des Johannes, liebst du mich?" Er sprach zu ihm: "Ja, Herr, du weißt, daß ich dich liebe." Er sprach zu ihm: "Weide meine Schafe!"
He said to him again a second time, "Shimon, son of Yukhanan, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
17 Er fragte ihn noch ein drittes Mal: "Simon, Sohn des Johannes, liebst du mich?" Da wurde Petrus traurig, daß er ihn zum drittenmal fragte: "Liebst du mich?" Er sprach zu ihm: "Herr, du weißt alles, du weißt auch, daß ich dich liebe." Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Weide meine Schafe!
He said to him the third time, "Shimon, son of Yukhanan, do you love me?" Kipha was grieved because he asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" And he said to him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you." Yeshua said to him, "Feed my sheep.
18 Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Als du noch jung warst, hast du dich selbst gegürtet und bist gegangen, wohin du wolltest. Wenn du aber alt geworden bist, dann wirst du deine Hände ausstrecken; ein anderer wird dich gürten und dich dahin führen, wohin du nicht willst."
Truly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself, and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you do not want to go."
19 Mit diesen Worten deutete er an, durch welche Todesart er Gott verherrlichen werde. Dann sagte er zu ihm: "Folge mir!"
Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, "Follow me."
20 Und Petrus wandte sich um und sah, wie der Jünger, den Jesus liebte, ihm folgte. Es war derselbe, der beim Abendmahl, an seine Brust gelehnt, gefragt hatte: "Herr, wer ist es, der dich verrät?"
Then Kipha, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Yeshua sincerely loved, the one who had also leaned on Yeshua's chest at the evening meal and asked, "Lord, who is going to betray You?"
21 Als Petrus ihn sah, sprach er zu Jesus: "Herr, was ist mit diesem?"
Kipha seeing him, said to Yeshua, "Lord, what about this man?"
22 Und Jesus sprach zu ihm: "Wenn ich will, daß er bleibe, bis ich komme, was geht das dich an? Du sollst mir folgen."
Yeshua said to him, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me."
23 Daher kam das Gerede bei den Brüdern auf, jener Jünger sterbe nicht. Doch Jesus hatte nicht zu ihm gesagt: "Er stirbt nicht", sondern: "Wenn ich will, daß er bleibe, bis ich komme, was geht das dich an?"
This saying therefore went out among the brothers, that this disciple would not die. Yet Yeshua did not say to him that he would not die, but, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?"
24 Das ist der Jünger, der dies bezeugt und geschrieben hat. Wir wissen, daß sein Zeugnis wahr ist.
This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true.
25 Noch gibt es vieles andere, was Jesus getan hat. Wollte man das alles einzeln niederschreiben, so könnte, meine ich, die Welt die Bücher nicht fassen, die dann zu schreiben wären.
There are also many other things which Yeshua did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself would not have room for the books that would be written.
