Jeremia 33

1 Das Wort des Herrn erging zum zweitenmal an Jeremias, als er noch im Wachthof eingeschlossen war.

Moreover the word of Yhwh came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

2 So spricht der Herr, der es ersonnen, der Herr, der es entworfen, um es auszuführen, - "Der Herr" - sein Name:

Thus saith Yhwh the maker thereof, Yhwh that formed it, to establish it; Yhwh is his name;

3 "Frag mich, ich will dir Antwort geben und Großes dir verkünden, das ihr nicht kennt."

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

4 So spricht der Herr, Gott Israels, im Hinblick auf die Häuser dieser Stadt und die der Könige von Juda, die für die Wälle eingerissen wurden und für die Kriegsmaschinen:

For thus saith Yhwh, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;

5 "Sie zogen in den Kampf mit den Chaldäern und füllten sie mit Menschenleichen, die ich in meinem Zorn und Grimm erschlug. Mein Angesicht verhüllte ich vor dieser Stadt all ihrer Schlechtigkeiten wegen.

They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.

6 Jetzt laß ich völlig sie genesen und gesunden, eröffne ihnen eine Fülle von Frieden und Beständigkeit.

Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

7 Ich wende das Geschick von Juda und Israels Geschick und stelle sie wie vormals wieder her

And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.

8 und reinige sie von aller ihrer Schuld, durch die sie gegen mich gefehlt, vergebe alle ihre Sünden, durch die sie gegen mich gesündigt und sich an mir vergangen.

And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

9 Sie sollen mir zu Ruhm und Wonne, zu Preis und Ehre dienen bei allen Erdenvölkern. Vernehmen sie von all dem Guten, das ich ihnen tue, alsdann erbeben sie und zittern ob all dem Guten, all dem Frieden, den ich für sie bewirke."

And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

10 So spricht der Herr: "An diesem Ort, von dem ihr sagt: 'Verödet ist er, ohne Mensch und Vieh', und in den Städten Judas und in den Straßen von Jerusalem, jetzt Öde, menschenleer, ganz der Bewohner bar und ohne Vieh, vernimmt man noch einmal

Thus saith Yhwh; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

11 des Jubels und der Freude Stimme, den Sang des Bräutigams, den Brautgesang, den Jubel derer, die da sprechen: 'Lobpreist den Herrn der Heerscharen! Gut ist der Herr, und ewig währet seine Huld.' Dankopfer bringt man wieder in das Haus des Herrn. Ich wende das Geschick des Landes so, wie es zuvor gewesen." So spricht der Herr.

The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise Yhwh of Armies: for Yhwh is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of Yhwh. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith Yhwh.

12 So spricht der Herr der Heerscharen: "An diesem Orte, öde, ohne Mensch und Vieh, und auch in allen seinen Städten gibt es wieder eine Au für Hirten, die Schafe lagern lassen.

Thus saith Yhwh of Armies; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

13 Auch in den Städten des Gebirges und der Niederung, im Südland und im Lande Benjamin, rings um Jerusalem und in den Städten Judas entschlüpfen wieder dem die Schafe, der sie zählt." So spricht der Herr.

In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith Yhwh.

14 "Fürwahr! Die Zeit erscheint", ein Spruch des Herrn, "wo ich mein freundlich Wort erfülle, das ich dem Hause Israel und Juda gab.

Behold, the days come, saith Yhwh, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.

15 In jenen Tagen und zu jener Zeit laß ich für David einen rechten Sprossen sprießen, der Recht im Lande und Gerechtigkeit verwaltet.

In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

16 In jenen Tagen fühlt sich Juda glücklich; in sicherer Ruhe ist Jerusalem. Dies ist sein Name: 'Der Herr ist unser Heil'."

In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, Jehovah-Tsidkenu, Yhwh Our Righteousness.

17 So spricht der Herr: "Nie soll es David an den Männern fehlen, die sitzen auf dem Thron des Hauses Israel.

For thus saith Yhwh; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

18 Den Priestern aber, den Leviten, wird nie ein Mann vor meinem Angesichte fehlen, der Brandopfer darbringt und Speiseopfer läßt in Rauch aufgehen und allzeit Schlachtopfer bereitet."

Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle grain offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

19 Darauf erging das Wort des Herrn an Jeremias also:

And the word of Yhwh came unto Jeremiah, saying,

20 So spricht der Herr: "Falls ihr mein Bündnis mit dem Tag und mit der Nacht aufheben könnt, daß Tag und Nacht zu ihrer Zeit ausblieben,

Thus saith Yhwh; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;

21 dann könnte auch mein Bund mit David, meinem Knechte, aufgehoben werden, so daß er keinen Sohn auf seinem Thron mehr hätte, und auch der Bund mit den Leviten, mit den Priestern, daß sie mich nimmermehr bedienten.

Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

22 Gleichwie das Heer des Himmels nicht zu zählen und der Sand des Meeres nicht zu messen ist, so will ich Davids, meines Knechtes, Geschlecht vermehren und die Leviten, die in meinen Diensten stehen."

As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

23 Und es erging das Wort des Herrn an Jeremias, also lautend:

Moreover the word of Yhwh came to Jeremiah, saying,

24 "Bemerkst du nicht, was diese Leute sprechen? 'Die beiden Häuser, die der Herr einst auserwählt, die hat er jetzt verworfen.' So denken sie von meinem Volk verächtlich, daß sie es nicht als Volk mehr gelten lassen.

Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Yhwh hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

25 So spricht der Herr: 'Wenn ich mein Bündnis mit dem Tag und mit der Nacht, des Himmels und der Erde Ordnungen, nicht festhielte,

Thus saith Yhwh; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;

26 nur dann verwürfe ich auch Jakobs Stamm und David, meinen Knecht, und nähme keine Herrscher mehr aus seinem Stamm für das Geschlecht des Abraham, des Isaak und des Jakob. Ich wende ihr Geschick und neige ihnen mich erbarmend zu.'"

Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
