Hebraeer 6
1 Wir wollen deshalb die Anfangsgründe der Lehre Christi übergehen und uns den höheren Dingen zuwenden und nicht den Grund noch einmal legen: Abkehr von toten Werken, Glauben an Gott,
Wherefore omitting the discourse about the first principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us proceed to perfection: not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works,
2 die Lehre von den Taufen, der Handauflegung, von der Auferstehung von den Toten und der ewigen Vergeltung. (aiōnios g166)
and of faith in God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and laying on of hands, and of the resurrection from the dead, and of eternal judgement: (tho' we will do this also, if God permit: ) (aiōnios g166)
3 Wenn Gott es gewährt, so wollen wir dies so halten.
for it is impossible that those,
4 Es ist ja unmöglich, daß solche, die einmal erleuchtet waren, die von der Himmelsgabe gekostet hatten, die des Heiligen Geistes teilhaftig geworden waren,
who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the holy Spirit,
5 die das herrliche Gotteswort verkostet und die Kräfte jener künftigen Welt in sich erfahren hatten (aiōn g165)
and of the good word of God, (aiōn g165)
6 und dann abgefallen sind, zur Bekehrung wiederum erneuert wurden; sie haben ja, soweit es auf sie ankommt, den Sohn Gottes aufs neue gekreuzigt und ihn zum Gespött gemacht.
and the powers of the gospel-age, and yet fall away, should be renewed again to repentance: since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God, and make an open example of Him.
7 Wenn ein Grundstück Regen, der reichlich darauf niederströmte, aufgesogen hat und denen, durch die es bestellt wird, erwünschte Früchte bringt, so nimmt es teil am Segen Gottes.
For as the earth, which imbibeth the rain that is frequently coming upon it, and produceth herbs fit for those by whom it is cultivated, receiveth a blessing from God:
8 Bringt es aber nur Dornen und Disteln, so ist es wertlos und dem Fluche nahe, der schließlich ins Feuer führt.
but that which bringeth forth thorns and briars, is rejected and near to a curse, (whose end is burning) so are they.
9 Wir sind bei euch, Geliebte, des günstigeren Falles und des zum Heil Gehörenden gewiß, wenn schon wir so reden mußten.
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak for your caution.
10 Gott ist nicht ungerecht, daß er eure guten Werke und eure Liebe vergessen würde, die ihr um seines Namens willen gezeigt habt, indem ihr den Heiligen gedient habt und noch immer dienet.
For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewn to his name, by having ministred to the saints, and yet ministring.
11 Wir wünschen nur, daß jeder aus euch den gleichen Eifer zeige, damit ihr auch die Hoffnung voll entfaltet, ja, selber zur Vollendung bringt,
And we desire that every one of you would shew the same diligence to acquire the full assurance of hope even unto the end:
12 auf daß ihr nicht ermattet, sondern die nachahmt, die durch Glauben und Geduld die Verheißungen erben.
that ye would not be sluggish, but imitators of them who through faith and patience are inheriting the promises.
13 Denn als Gott dem Abraham die Verheißung gab, da schwur er, weil er bei keinem Höheren schwören konnte, bei sich selbst und sprach:
For when God made the promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He sware by Himself, saying,
14 "Fürwahr, ich will dich reichlich segnen und reichlich auch dich mehren."
"Verily blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee."
15 Und so harrte er geduldig aus und erlangte die Verheißung.
And thus waiting patiently he obtained the promise.
16 Menschen schwören stets bei einem Höheren; der Eid läßt jede Widerrede verstummen und gibt Sicherheit.
For men swear by a greater Being, and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all controversy.
17 Weil Gott den Erben der Verheißung noch deutlicher zeigen wollte, wie unabänderlich sein Ratschluß sei, deshalb verbürgte er sich durch einen Eid.
Wherefore God being willing more abundantly to manifest unto the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it with an oath:
18 So sollten wir an zwei unabänderlichen Tatsachen, bei denen Gott unmöglich täuschen konnte, einen sicheren Trost besitzen, wir, die wir an die dargebotene Hoffnung uns geklammert haben.
that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to fail, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us;
19 An ihr besitzen wir für unsere Seele einen Anker, fest und zuverlässig, der in das Innere des Vorhangs hineinreicht.
which we have as an anchor of the soul safe and stedfast, and which entereth within the veil.
