2 Chronik 22
1 Jerusalems Einwohner machten nun seinen jüngsten Sohn Achazjahu an seiner Statt zum König. Denn alle älteren hatte die Horde getötet, die mit den Arabern im Zug gekommen waren. So ward Jorams Sohn Achazjahu König von Juda.
And they made king [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem Ahaziah son his young in place of him for all the former [sons] it had killed the marauding band which came with the Arabs to the camp and he became king Ahaziah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah.
2 Achazjahu war zweiundzwanzig Jahre alt, als er König wurde, und regierte ein Jahr zu Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Ataljahu und war Omris Enkelin.
[was] a son of Forty and two year[s] Ahaziah when became king he and a year one he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Athaliah [the] daughter of Omri.
3 Darum wandelte er auf den Wegen des Achabhauses. Denn seine Mutter war seine Ratgeberin zum Bösen.
Also he he walked in [the] ways of [the] house of Ahab for mother his she was [female] counselor his to act wickedly.
4 So tat er, was dem Herrn mißfiel, wie die von Achabs Haus. Denn diese wurden nach seines Vaters Tod seine Berater, zu seinem Verderben.
And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh like [the] house of Ahab for they they were of him counselors after [the] death of father his to destruction of him.
5 Auch darin ihrem Rate folgend, zog er mit Achabs Sohne Joram, dem König Israels, gegen Chazael, den König von Aram, bei Ramot in Gilead in den Kampf. Dabei schlugen die Aramäer den Joram.
Also in counsel their he walked and he went with Jehoram [the] son of Ahab [the] king of Israel to war on Hazael [the] king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead and they wounded the Arameans Joram.
6 Er aber kehrte heim, sich in Jezreel von den Wunden heilen zu lassen, die man ihm zu Rama geschlagen, als er mit Arams König Chazael kämpfte. Judas König aber, Achazjahu, Jorams Sohn, ging hinab, Joram, Achabs Sohn, in Jezreel zu besuchen, weil er krank war.
And he returned to get himself healed in Jezreel for the wounds which they had wounded him at Ramah when fought he with Hazael [the] king of Aram and Azariah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah he went down to see Jehoram [the] son of Ahab in Jezreel for [was] being ill he.
7 Von Gott aber war es zum Untergange Achazjahus bestimmt, daß er zu Joram kam. Als er nämlich kam, ging er zu Jehu, Nimsis Sohn, hinaus. Diesen aber hatte der Herr gesalbt, um Achabs Haus zu vernichten.
And from God it was [the] downfall of Ahaziah by going to Joram and when went he he went out with Jehoram to Jehu [the] son of Nimshi whom he had anointed him Yahweh to cut off [the] house of Ahab.
8 Als Jehu am Hause Achabs das Strafgericht vollzog, stieß er auf die Fürsten Judas und Achazjahus Brüdersöhne, die Achazjahu bedienten. Und er tötete sie.
And it was when entered into judgment Jehu with [the] house of Ahab and he found [the] officials of Judah and [the] sons of [the] brothers of Ahaziah serving Ahaziah and he killed them.
9 Dann suchte er Achazjahu. Und man ergriff ihn, da er sich in Samaria versteckt hielt. Sie brachten ihn zu Jehu. Er aber ließ ihn töten. Dann begruben sie ihn. Denn sie hatten gesagt: "Er ist ein Sohn Josaphats, der den Herrn von ganzem Herzen gesucht hat." Nun war vom Hause Achazjahus niemand mehr da, der zu regieren vermocht hätte.
And he sought to find Ahaziah and people captured him and he [was] hiding himself in Samaria and they brought him to Jehu and they put to death him and they buried him for they said [was] [the] son of Jehoshaphat he who he sought Yahweh with all heart his and not for [the] house of Ahaziah to retain strength for kingship.
10 Als aber Ataljahu, die Mutter des Achazjahu, erfuhr, daß ihr Sohn tot sei, erhob sie sich und vertilgte das ganze königliche Geblüt des Hauses Juda.
And Athaliah [the] mother of Ahaziah she saw that he was dead son her and she arose and she destroyed all [the] offspring of royalty of [the] house of Judah.
11 Aber des Königs Tochter Josabat nahm des Achazjahu Sohn Joas verstohlenerweise mitten aus den Königssöhnen, die getötet werden sollten, und steckte ihn mit seiner Amme in die Bettkammer. So verbarg ihn des Königs Joram Tochter Josabat, das Weib des Priesters Jojada, vor Ataljahu, daß sie ihn nicht umbrachte. Sie war des Achazjahu Schwester.
And she took Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Joash [the] son of Ahaziah and she stole him from among [the] sons of the king who were being put to death and she put him and nurse his in [the] chamber of the beds and she hid him Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Jehoram [the] wife of Jehoiada the priest for she she was [the] sister of Ahaziah from before Athaliah and not she killed him.
12 Und er blieb im Gotteshause sechs Jahre versteckt. Ataljahu herrschte unterdessen über das Land.
And he was with them in [the] house of God hiding six years and Athaliah [was] reigning over the land.
