1 Korinther 3
1 Meine lieben Brüder! Auch ich konnte zu euch nicht reden wie zu Geisterfüllten, sondern nur wie zu Fleischesmenschen, zu solchen, die noch nicht mündig sind in Christus.
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal. As unto little ones in Christ.
2 Mit Milch ernährte ich euch und nicht mit fester Speise; denn diese konntet ihr noch nicht ertragen. Allein auch jetzt könnt ihr es noch nicht.
I gave you milk to drink, not meat; for you were not able as yet. But neither indeed are you now able; for you are yet carnal.
3 Denn ihr seid noch fleischlich. Solange nämlich Eifersucht und Streit sich bei euch finden, seid ihr da nicht noch fleischlich und lebt nach der Art der anderen Menschen?
For, whereas there is among you envying and contention, are you not carnal, and walk according to man?
4 Denn wenn der eine sagt: "Ich halte mich an Paulus", ein anderer: "Ich gehöre zu Apollos", seid ihr da nicht so recht noch Menschen?
For while one saith, I indeed am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollo; are you not men? What then is Apollo, and what is Paul?
5 Was ist denn Apollos? Was ist denn Paulus? Diener sind sie, die euch zum Glauben verholfen haben, und dies ein jeder so, wie es ihm der Herr verliehen hat.
The ministers of him whom you have believed; and to every one as the Lord hath given.
6 Ich habe gepflanzt, Apollos hat es begossen; Gott aber hat das Wachstum gegeben.
I have planted, Apollo watered, but God gave the increase.
7 So kommt es denn nicht auf den an, der pflanzt, und nicht auf den, der begießt, sondern auf den, der das Gedeihen gibt, auf Gott.
Therefore, neither he that planteth is any thing, nor he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Wer pflanzt und wer begießt, gehört zusammen; ein jeder wird je nach seiner Arbeit seinen Lohn erhalten.
Now he that planteth, and he that watereth, ate one. And every man shall receive his own reward, according to his own labour.
9 Sind wir doch Gottes Mitarbeiter, ihr aber Gottes Ackerland und Gottes Bauwerk.
For we are God’s coadjutors: you are God’s husbandry; you are God’s building.
10 Entsprechend der Gnade Gottes, die mir verliehen ward, legte ich den Grund als kluger Baumeister; ein anderer baut darauf weiter; jeder aber sehe zu, wie er weiterbaue.
According to the grace of God that is given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 Doch einen anderen Grund, als den bereits gelegten, kann niemand legen: Jesus Christus.
For other foundation no man can lay, but that which is laid; which is Christ Jesus.
12 Ob einer nun auf diesem Grunde mit Gold und Silber oder Edelstein weiterbaut oder mit Holz und Heu und Stroh,
Now if any man build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble:
13 das wird sich bei dem Bauwerk eines jeden zeigen. Der "Tag" wird es offenbaren, weil er sich im Feuer kundgibt. Wie das Bauwerk eines jeden ist, das wird das Feuer erweisen.
Every man’s work shall be manifest; for the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it shall be revealed in fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work, of what sort it is.
14 Ist das Bauwerk, das einer auferbaute, von Bestand, alsdann empfängt er Lohn;
If any man’s work abide, which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 doch brennt sein Bauwerk nieder, wird er zu Schaden kommen. Er selbst wird zwar gerettet werden, jedoch so wie durch Feuer.
If any man’s work burn, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.
16 Wißt ihr denn nicht, daß ihr Tempel Gottes seid, daß der Geist Gottes in euerm Innern wohnt?
Know you not, that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 Wer den Tempel Gottes zugrunde richtet, den wird Gott auch zugrunde richten; denn heilig ist der Tempel Gottes, und der seid ihr.
But if any man violate the temple of God, him shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, which you are.
18 Daß sich doch keiner täusche! Wer unter euch für diese Welt sich weise dünkt, der werde doch zuerst ein Tor und so erst weise. (aiōn g165)
Let no man deceive himself: if any man among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. (aiōn g165)
19 Die Weisheit dieser Welt gilt ja vor Gott als Torheit; so steht geschrieben: "Er fängt die Weisen mit ihrer eigenen Schlauheit."
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written: I will catch the wise in their own craftiness.
20 Und wieder heißt es: "Der Herr weiß, daß der Weisen Denken eitel ist."
And again: The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21 So soll sich also niemand über Menschen rühmen; alles ist ja euer:
Let no man therefore glory in men.
22 Sei es Paulus, sei es Apollos oder Kephas; sei es Welt, sei es Leben oder Tod; sei es Gegenwart oder Zukunft; all das ist euer.
For all things are yours, whether it be Paul, or Apollo, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to some; for all are yours;
23 Ihr aber gehört Christus an und Christus Gott.
And you are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
