Jesaja 22
1 Ausspruch über das Tal der Gesichte. Was ist dir denn, daß du insgesamt auf die Dächer gestiegen bist?
A declaration about the Valley of Vision: What is the reason that you have all gone up to the housetops?
2 O getümmelvolle, lärmende Stadt, du frohlockende Stadt, deine Erschlagenen sind nicht vom Schwert Erschlagene und nicht in der Schlacht Getötete!
Is it so you may hear a city full of noises, a town full of revelry? Your dead were not killed with the sword, and they did not die in battle.
3 Alle deine Oberen, flüchtend allzumal, wurden ohne Bogen gefesselt; alle in dir Gefundenen wurden miteinander gefesselt, fernhin wollten sie fliehen.
All your rulers fled away together, but they were captured without using a bow; all of them were captured together, though they had fled far away.
4 Darum sage ich: Schauet von mir weg, daß ich bitterlich weine; dringet nicht in mich, um mich zu trösten über die Zerstörung der Tochter meines Volkes!
Therefore I said, “Do not look at me, I will weep bitterly; do not try to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.”
5 Denn es ist ein Tag der Bestürzung und der Zertretung und der Verwirrung vom Herrn, Jehova der Heerscharen, im Tal der Gesichte, ein Tag, der Mauern zertrümmert; und Wehgeschrei hallt nach dem Gebirge hin.
For there is a day of tumult, treading down, and confusion for the Lord Yahweh of hosts, in the Valley of Vision, a breaking down of the walls, and people crying out to the mountains.
6 Und Elam trägt den Köcher, mit bemannten Wagen und mit Reitern; und Kir entblößt den Schild.
Elam takes up the quiver, with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir lays the shield bare.
7 Und es wird geschehen, deine auserlesenen Täler werden voll Wagen sein, und die Reiter nehmen Stellung gegen das Tor. -
It will come about that your choicest valleys will be full of chariots, and the horsemen will take their positions at the gate.
8 Und er deckt den Schleier auf von Juda, und du blickst an jenem Tage nach den Waffen des Waldhauses.
He took away the protection of Judah; and you looked in that day to the weapons in the Palace of the Forest.
9 Und ihr sehet die Risse der Stadt Davids, daß ihrer viele sind; und ihr sammelt die Wasser des unteren Teiches;
You saw the breaches of the city of David, that they were many, and you collected the water of the lower pool.
10 und ihr zählet die Häuser von Jerusalem und brechet die Häuser ab, um die Mauer zu befestigen;
You counted the houses of Jerusalem, and you tore down the houses to fortify the wall.
11 und ihr machet einen Behälter zwischen den beiden Mauern für die Wasser des alten Teiches. Aber ihr blicket nicht auf den, der es getan und sehet den nicht an, der von fernher es gebildet hat. -
You made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you did not consider the city's maker, who had planned it long ago.
12 Und es ruft der Herr, Jehova der Heerscharen, an jenem Tage zum Weinen und zur Wehklage, und zum Haarscheren und zur Sackumgürtung.
The Lord Yahweh of hosts called on that day for weeping, for mourning, for shaved heads, and the wearing of sackcloth.
13 Aber siehe, Wonne und Freude, Rinderwürgen und Schafeschlachten, Fleischessen und Weintrinken: “Laßt uns essen und trinken, denn morgen sterben wir!”
But look, instead, celebration and gladness, killing cattle and slaughtering sheep, eating meat and drinking wine; let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die.
14 Und Jehova der Heerscharen hat sich meinen Ohren geoffenbart: Wenn euch diese Missetat vergeben wird, bis ihr sterbet! spricht der Herr, Jehova der Heerscharen.
This was revealed in my ears by Yahweh of hosts: “Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you, even when you die,” says the Lord Yahweh of hosts.
15 So sprach der Herr, Jehova der Heerscharen: Auf! Geh zu diesem Verwalter da, zu Schebna, der über das Haus ist, und sprich:
The Lord Yahweh of hosts, says this, “Go to this administrator, to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,
16 Was hast du hier, und wen hast du hier, daß du dir hier ein Grab aushaust? Du, der sein Grab aushaut auf der Höhe, sich eine Wohnung im Felsen gräbt?
'What are you doing here and who gave you permission to cut out a tomb for yourself, hewing out a grave on the heights and carving out a resting place in the rock?'”
17 Siehe, Jehova wird dich weithin wegschleudern mit Manneswurf; und er wird dich zusammenwickeln,
See, Yahweh is about to throw you, a mighty man, about to throw you down; he will grasp you tightly.
18 zu einem Knäuel wird er dich fest zusammenrollen, wie einen Ball dich wegschleudern in ein geräumiges Land. Dort sollst du sterben, und dorthin sollen deine Prachtwagen kommen, du Schande des Hauses deines Herrn!
He will surely wind you round and round, and toss you like a ball into a vast country. There you will die, and there your glorious chariots will be; you will be the shame of your master's house!
19 Und ich werde dich von deinem Posten hinwegstoßen, und von deinem Standorte wird er dich herunterreißen. -
“I will thrust you from your office and from your station. You will be pulled down.
20 Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tage, da werde ich meinen Knecht Eljakim rufen, den Sohn Hilkijas.
It will come about on that day that I will call my servant Eliakim son of Hilkiah.
21 Und ich werde ihn mit deinem Leibrock bekleiden und ihm deinen Gürtel fest umbinden, und werde deine Herrschaft in seine Hand legen; und er wird den Bewohnern von Jerusalem und dem Hause Juda zum Vater sein.
I will clothe him with your tunic and put on him your sash, and I will transfer your authority into his hand. He will be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.
22 Und ich werde den Schlüssel des Hauses Davids auf seine Schulter legen; und er wird öffnen, und niemand wird schließen, und er wird schließen, und niemand wird öffnen.
I will place the key of the house of David on his shoulder; he will open, and none will shut; he will shut, and none will open.
23 Und ich werde ihn als Pflock einschlagen an einen festen Ort; und er wird seinem Vaterhause zum Throne der Ehre sein.
I will fasten him, a peg in a secure place, and he will become a seat of glory for his father's house.
24 Und man wird an ihn hängen die gesamte Herrlichkeit seines Vaterhauses: die Sprößlinge und die Seitenschosse, alle kleinen Gefäße, von den Beckengefäßen bis zu allen Kruggefäßen. -
They will hang on him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and descendants, every small container from the cups to all the jugs.
25 An jenem Tage, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen, wird der Pflock weichen, der eingeschlagen war an einem festen Orte, und er wird abgehauen werden und fallen; und die Last, die er trug, wird zu Grunde gehen; denn Jehova der Heerscharen hat geredet.
On that day—this is the declaration of Yahweh of hosts—the peg driven in a firm place will give way, break off, and fall, and the weight that was on it will be cut off—for Yahweh has spoken.
