Jesaja 19
1 Ausspruch über Ägypten. Siehe, Jehova fährt auf schneller Wolke und kommt nach Ägypten. Und die Götzen Ägyptens beben vor ihm, und das Herz Ägyptens zerschmilzt in seinem Innern.
A declaration about Egypt. See, Yahweh rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt; the idols of Egypt quake before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt within themselves.
2 Und ich will Ägypten aufreizen gegen Ägypten; und sie werden streiten, ein jeder wider seinen Bruder und ein jeder wider seinen Nächsten, Stadt wider Stadt, Königreich wider Königreich.
“I will stir up Egyptians against Egyptians: A man will fight against his brother, and a man against his neighbor; city will be against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
3 Und der Geist Ägyptens wird vergehen in seinem Innern, und ich will seinen Ratschlag zunichte machen: und sie werden die Götzen und die Beschwörer und die Zauberer und die Wahrsager befragen.
The spirit of Egypt will be weakened from within. I will destroy his advice, though they sought the advice of idols, dead men's spirits, mediums, and spiritualists.
4 Und ich will die Ägypter überliefern in die Hand eines harten Herrn; und ein grausamer König wird über sie herrschen, spricht der Herr, Jehova der Heerscharen. -
I will give the Egyptians into the hand of a harsh master, and a strong king will rule over them— this is the declaration of the Lord Yahweh of hosts.”
5 Und die Wasser werden sich aus dem Meere verlaufen, und der Strom wird versiegen und austrocknen,
The waters of the sea will dry up, and the river will dry up and become empty.
6 und die Ströme werden stinken; die Kanäle Mazors nehmen ab und versiegen, Rohr und Schilf verwelken.
The rivers will become foul; the streams of Egypt will dwindle and dry up; the reeds and flags will wither away.
7 Die Auen am Nil, am Ufer des Nil, und jedes Saatfeld am Nil verdorrt, zerstiebt und ist nicht mehr.
The reeds along the Nile, at the mouth of the Nile, and every sown field beside the Nile will become parched, will be driven away, and will be no more.
8 Und die Fischer klagen, und es trauern alle, welche Angeln in den Nil auswerfen; und die das Netz ausbreiten auf der Wasserfläche, schmachten hin.
The fishermen will wail and mourn, and all who cast a hook into the Nile will mourn, and those who spread nets on the waters will grieve.
9 Und beschämt sind die Wirker gehechelten Flachses und die Weber von Baumwollenzeug.
The workers in combed flax and those who weave white cloth will turn pale.
10 Und seine Grundpfeiler sind zerschlagen; alle, die um Lohn arbeiten, sind seelenbetrübt. -
The cloth workers of Egypt will be crushed; all who work for hire will be grieved within themselves.
11 Eitel Toren sind die Fürsten von Zoan, die weisen Räte des Pharao; ihr Ratschlag ist dumm geworden. Wie saget ihr zu dem Pharao: “Ich bin ein Sohn der Weisen, ein Sohn der Könige von ehemals?”
The princes of Zoan are completely foolish. The advice of the wisest advisors of Pharaoh has become senseless. How can you say to Pharaoh, “I am the son of wise men, a son of ancient kings?”
12 Wo sind sie denn, deine Weisen? Mögen sie dir doch verkünden und erkennen, was Jehova der Heerscharen über Ägypten beschlossen hat.
Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you and make known what Yahweh of hosts plans concerning Egypt.
13 Die Fürsten von Zoan sind betört, die Fürsten von Noph sind betrogen; es haben Ägypten irregeführt die Häupter seiner Stämme.
The princes of Zoan have become fools, the princes of Memphis are deceived; they have made Egypt go astray, who are the cornerstones of her tribes.
14 Jehova hat in sein Inneres einen Geist des Schwindels ausgegossen, daß sie Ägypten irregeführt haben in all seinem Tun, wie ein Trunkener taumelt in seinem Gespei.
Yahweh has mixed a spirit of distortion into her midst, and they have led Egypt astray in all she does, like a drunk staggering in his vomit.
15 Und von Ägypten wird keine Tat geschehen, welche Haupt oder Schwanz, Palmzweig oder Binse verrichte. -
There is nothing anyone can do for Egypt, whether head or tail, palm branch or reed.
16 An jenem Tage werden die Ägypter wie Weiber sein; und sie werden zittern und beben vor dem Schwingen der Hand Jehovas der Heerscharen, die er wider sie schwingen wird.
In that day, the Egyptians will be like women. They will tremble and fear because of the upraised hand of Yahweh of hosts that he raises over them.
17 Und das Land Juda wird für Ägypten zum Schrecken sein. So oft jemand es bei den Ägyptern erwähnt, werden sie beben wegen des Ratschlusses Jehovas der Heerscharen, welchen er über sie beschlossen hat.
The land of Judah will become a cause of staggering to Egypt. Whenever anyone reminds them of her, they will be afraid, because of the plan of Yahweh, that he is planning against them.
18 An jenem Tage werden fünf Städte im Lande Ägypten sein, welche die Sprache Kanaans reden und bei Jehova der Heerscharen schwören werden. Eine wird die Stadt Heres heißen.
In that day there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to Yahweh of hosts. One of these will be called The City of the Sun.
19 An jenem Tage wird inmitten des Landes Ägypten ein Altar dem Jehova geweiht sein, und eine Denksäule nahe an seiner Grenze dem Jehova;
In that day there will be an altar to Yahweh in the middle of the land of Egypt, and a stone pillar at the border to Yahweh.
20 und das wird zu einem Denkzeichen und zu einem Zeugnis sein dem Jehova der Heerscharen im Lande Ägypten. Denn sie werden zu Jehova schreien wegen der Bedrücker, und er wird ihnen einen Retter und Streiter senden und sie erretten.
It will be as a sign and a witness to Yahweh of hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry to Yahweh because of oppressors, he will send them a savior and a defender, and he will deliver them.
21 Und Jehova wird sich den Ägyptern kundgeben, und die Ägypter werden Jehova erkennen an jenem Tage; und sie werden dienen mit Schlachtopfern und Speisopfern, und werden Jehova Gelübde tun und bezahlen.
Yahweh will become known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will acknowledge Yahweh on that day. They will worship with sacrifices and offerings, and will make vows to Yahweh and fulfill them.
22 Und Jehova wird die Ägypter schlagen, schlagen und heilen; und sie werden sich zu Jehova wenden, und er wird sich von ihnen erbitten lassen und sie heilen.
Yahweh will afflict Egypt, afflicting and healing. They will return to Yahweh; he will hear their prayer and will heal them.
23 An jenem Tage wird eine Straße sein von Ägypten nach Assyrien; und die Assyrer werden nach Ägypten und die Ägypter nach Assyrien kommen, und die Ägypter werden mit den Assyrern Jehova dienen.
In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come to Egypt, and the Egyptian to Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.
24 An jenem Tage wird Israel das dritte sein mit Ägypten und mit Assyrien, ein Segen inmitten der Erde;
In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth;
25 denn Jehova der Heerscharen segnet es und spricht: Gesegnet sei mein Volk Ägypten, und Assyrien, meiner Hände Werk, und Israel, mein Erbteil!
Yahweh of hosts will bless them and say, “Blessed be Egypt, my people; Assyria, the work of my hands; and Israel, my inheritance.”
