1 Und dies sind die Kinder der Landschaft Juda, welche aus der Gefangenschaft der Weggeführten, die Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, nach Babel weggeführt hatte, hinaufzogen, und die nach Jerusalem und Juda zurückkehrten, ein jeder in seine Stadt,
Now these are the people of the province, who went up out of the captivity of those who had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away to Babylon, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judah, everyone to his city;

59 Und diese sind es, die aus Tel-Melach, Tel-Harscha, Kerub, Addan, Immer hinaufzogen; aber sie konnten ihr Vaterhaus und ihre Abkunft nicht angeben, ob sie aus Israel wären:
These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not show whether their fathers' house, and their descent, were from Israel:
60 die Söhne Delajas, die Söhne Tobijas, die Söhne Nekodas, sechshundertzweiundfünfzig.
the descendants of Delaiah, the descendants of Tobiah, the descendants of Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two.
61 Und von den Söhnen der Priester: die Söhne Habajas, die Söhne Hakkoz', die Söhne Barsillais, der ein Weib von den Töchtern Barsillais, des Gileaditers, genommen hatte und nach ihrem Namen genannt wurde.
Of the descendants of the priests: the descendants of Habaiah, the descendants of Hakkoz, the descendants of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name.
62 Diese suchten ihr Geschlechtsregisterverzeichnis, aber es wurde nicht gefunden; und sie wurden von dem Priestertum als unrein ausgeschlossen.
These sought their place among those who were registered by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they deemed polluted and put from the priesthood.
63 Und der Tirsatha sprach zu ihnen, daß sie von dem Hochheiligen nicht essen dürften, bis ein Priester für die Urim und die Thummim aufstände.
The governor said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.
64 Die ganze Versammlung insgesamt war zweiundvierzigtausend dreihundertsechzig,
The whole assembly together was forty-two thousand three hundred sixty,
65 außer ihren Knechten und ihren Mägden; dieser waren siebentausend dreihundertsiebenunddreißig. Und sie hatten noch zweihundert Sänger und Sängerinnen.
besides their male servants and their female servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty-seven: and they had two hundred singing men and singing women.
66 Ihrer Rosse waren siebenhundertsechsunddreißig, ihrer Maultiere zweihundertfünfundvierzig,
Their horses were seven hundred thirty-six; their mules, two hundred forty-five;
67 ihrer Kamele vierhundertfünfunddreißig, der Esel sechstausend siebenhundertzwanzig.
their camels, four hundred thirty-five; their donkeys, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
68 Und als sie zum Hause Jehovas in Jerusalem kamen, gaben einige von den Häuptern der Väter freiwillig für das Haus Gottes, um es an seiner Stätte aufzurichten.
Some of the heads of ancestral houses, when they came to the house of Jehovah which is in Jerusalem, offered willingly for God's house to set it up in its place:
69 Nach ihrem Vermögen gaben sie für den Schatz des Werkes: an Gold einundsechzigtausend Dariken und an Silber fünftausend Minen, und hundert Priesterleibröcke.
they gave after their ability into the treasury of the work sixty-one thousand darics of gold, and five thousand minas of silver, and one hundred priests' garments.
70 Und die Priester und die Leviten und die aus dem Volke und die Sänger und die Torhüter und die Nethinim wohnten in ihren Städten; und ganz Israel wohnte in seinen Städten.
So the priests, and the Levites, and some of the people, and the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the Nethinim, lived in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
