Psaumes 98

1 Psaume. Chantez à la gloire de l'Éternel un cantique nouveau! Car il a accompli des choses merveilleuses: Sa main droite et son bras saint lui ont donné la victoire.

A Psalm. O sing to the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

2 L'Éternel a fait connaître son salut; Il a manifesté sa justice aux yeux des nations.

The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shown in the sight of the heathen.

3 Il s'est souvenu de sa bonté et de sa fidélité Envers la maison d'Israël. Toutes les extrémités de la terre Ont vu l'oeuvre de salut de notre Dieu.

He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Habitants de la terre, Faites tous monter vos acclamations jusqu'à l'Éternel; Éclatez en cris de joie, et psalmodiez!

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Chantez en l'honneur de l'Éternel avec la harpe, Avec la harpe et au son des cantiques!

Sing to the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.

6 Au son du cor et de la trompette. Poussez des acclamations devant le Roi, l'Éternel!

With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.

7 Que la mer frémisse, avec tout ce qu'elle contient, Le monde, avec ceux qui l'habitent!

Let the sea roar, and all it containeth; the world, and they that dwell in it.

8 Que les fleuves battent des mains; Que toutes les montagnes éclatent en cris de joie,

Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together

9 En présence de l'Éternel! Car il vient pour juger la terre: Il jugera le monde avec justice, Et les peuples avec équité.

Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
