Psaumes 121

1 Cantique pour les pèlerinages. Je lève mes yeux vers les montagnes: D'où me viendra le secours? —

A Song of degrees. I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 — Mon secours vient de l'Éternel, Qui a fait les cieux et la terre.

My help [cometh] from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

3 Il ne permettra pas que ton pied chancelle; Celui qui te garde ne sommeillera point.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Oui, celui qui garde Israël, Ne sommeillera pas; il ne s'endormira point.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 l'Éternel est celui qui te garde. l'Éternel est ton ombre; il se tient à ta droite.

The LORD [is] thy keeper: the LORD [is] thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 Le soleil ne te frappera point pendant le jour, Ni la lune pendant la nuit,

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 L'Éternel te gardera de tout mal; Il gardera ton âme.

The LORD will preserve thee from all evil: he will preserve thy soul.

8 L'Éternel veillera sur ton départ comme sur ton arrivée. Dès maintenant et à toujours.

The LORD will preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for ever.
