Psaumes 23

1 Cantique de David. L'Éternel est mon berger, je ne manque de rien.

A Psalm of David. The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 Dans des pacages verts Il me fait reposer, Il me mène le long des eaux tranquilles.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 Il restaure mon âme, Il me guide dans les ornières du salut, pour l'amour de son nom.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Quand je chemine dans une sombre vallée, je ne redoute aucun mal, car tu es avec moi; ta houlette et ton bâton, c'est là ce qui me console.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Tu as dressé devant moi une table en face de mes ennemis, tu as oint d'huile ma tête, et fait regorger ma coupe.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Oui, le bonheur et la grâce me suivent tous les jours de ma vie, et la maison de l'Éternel est mon séjour ordinaire.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
