Psaumes 145
1 Cantique de louanges. De David. Je l'exalterai, ô mon Dieu, ô mon Roi! et je bénirai ton nom toujours, à jamais.
[A praise psalm by David.] I will exalt you, my God, the King. I will praise your name forever and ever.
2 Chaque jour je te bénirai, et je louerai ton nom éternellement, à jamais.
Every day I will praise you. I will extol your name forever and ever.
3 L'Éternel est grand et très glorieux, et sa grandeur est incommensurable.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised. His greatness is unsearchable.
4 Qu'un âge à l'autre âge annonce tes œuvres, et publie tes exploits!
One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts.
5 C'est la glorieuse majesté de ta magnificence, ce sont tes merveilles que je veux méditer.
Of the glorious splendor of your majesty they will speak, of your wondrous works, I will meditate.
6 Qu'on redise la puissance de tes exploits terribles, et je veux raconter ta grandeur!
Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.
7 Que l'on proclame la mémoire de ta grande bonté, et que l'on chante ta justice!
They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.
8 L'Éternel est miséricordieux et clément, lent à s'irriter, et riche en grâce.
The LORD is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.
9 L'Éternel est bon envers tous, et sa miséricorde s'étend à toutes ses œuvres.
The LORD is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works.
10 Éternel, toutes tes œuvres te célèbrent, et tes saints te bénissent;
All your works will give thanks to you, LORD. And your faithful ones will bless you.
11 ils disent la gloire de ton empire, et publient ta puissance,
They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power;
12 pour annoncer ta puissance aux enfants des hommes, et le glorieux éclat de ton règne.
to make known to the descendants of Adam his mighty acts, the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.
13 Ton régne est un règne de tous les siècles, et ton empire se perpétue d'âge en âge.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. The LORD is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds.
14 L'Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, et Il redresse ceux qui sont affaissés.
The LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down.
15 Les yeux de tous s'attendent à toi, et tu leur donnes leur nourriture en son temps.
The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season.
16 Tu ouvres ta main, et tu rassasies de faveurs tous les vivants.
You yourself open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 L'Éternel est juste en toutes ses voies, et miséricordieux en tout ce qu'il fait.
The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and faithful in all his deeds.
18 L'Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l'invoquent, de tous ceux qui l'invoquent avec sincérité.
The LORD is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 Il accomplit les vœux de ceux qui le craignent, Il entend leur cri, et leur est secourable.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20 L'Éternel garde tous ceux qui l'aiment, et Il détruit tous les impies.
The LORD preserves all those who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 Que ma bouche redise la louange de l'Éternel, et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom, éternellement, à jamais!
My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD. Let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
