Marc 6
1 Et il sortit de là.
And He went forth from there, and came to His own country, and His disciples follow Him,
2 Et le sabbat étant venu, il commença à enseigner dans la synagogue, et le plus grand nombre étaient stupéfaits en l'entendant, et ils disaient: « D'où viennent à celui-ci ces choses? » et: « Qu'est-ce que cette sagesse qui lui a été donnée, et les miracles de cette espèce qui se font par ses mains?
and Sabbath having come, He began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing were astonished, saying, “From where [did] this One [hear] these things? And what [is] the wisdom that was given to Him, that also such mighty works are done through His hands?
3 Celui-ci n'est-il pas le charpentier, le fils de Marie, et le frère de Jacques et de Josès et de Judas et de Simon? Et ses sœurs ne sont-elles pas ici parmi nous? » Et il était pour eux une pierre d'achoppement.
Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? And are His sisters not here with us?” And they were being stumbled at Him.
4 Et Jésus leur dit: « Ce n'est que dans sa patrie, et parmi ses parents, et dans sa famille, qu'un prophète est méprisé. »
And Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his relatives, and in his own house”;
5 Et il ne pouvait faire là aucun miracle, sauf qu'ayant imposé les mains à quelques infirmes, il les guérit;
and He was not able to do any mighty work there, except having put hands on a few sick, He healed [them];
6 et il s'émerveilla de leur incrédulité.
and He wondered because of their unbelief. And He was going around the villages, in a circle, teaching,
7 Et il appelle à lui les douze, et il commença à les envoyer deux par deux, et il leur donnait autorité sur les esprits impurs,
and He calls near the Twelve, and He began to send them forth two by two, and He was giving them power over the unclean spirits,
8 et il leur ordonna de ne rien prendre pour la route, sauf un bâton seulement, point de pain, ni de besace, ni de monnaie dans la ceinture,
and He commanded them that they may take nothing for the way, except a staff only—no leather pouch, no bread, no brass in the girdle,
9 mais de chausser des sandales, et de ne pas revêtir deux tuniques.
but having been shod with sandals, and you may not put on two coats.
10 Et il leur disait: « Partout où vous serez entrés dans une maison, restez-y jusques à ce que vous sortiez de là;
And He said to them, “Whenever you may enter into a house, remain there until you may depart from there,
11 et l'endroit qui ne vous aura pas reçus, et où l'on ne vous aura pas écoutés, secouez en sortant de là la poussière qui est sous vos pieds pour leur servir de témoignage. »
and as many as may not receive you nor hear you, going out from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony to them; [[truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom or Gomorrah in [the] day of judgment than for that city.”]]
12 Et étant partis ils prêchèrent qu'on eût à se repentir,
And having gone forth they were preaching that [men] might convert,
13 et ils chassaient plusieurs démons, et ils oignaient d'huile plusieurs malades, et ils les guérissaient.
and they were casting out many demons, and they were anointing many sick with oil, and they were healing [them].
14 Et le roi Hérode ouït parler de lui, car son nom était devenu célèbre, et on disait: « Jean le baptiseur est ressuscité des morts, et c'est pourquoi les miracles s'opèrent par lui; »
And King Herod heard (for His Name became public), and he said, “John the Immerser was raised out of the dead, and because of this the mighty powers are working in him.”
15 mais d'autres disaient: « C'est Élie; » tandis que d'autres disaient: « C'est un prophète comme l'un des prophètes. »
Others said, “It is Elijah,” and others said, “It is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.”
16 Mais Hérode en ayant ouï parler, disait: « Ce Jean que j'ai fait décapiter, c'est lui qui est ressuscité. »
And Herod having heard, said, “He whom I beheaded—John—this is he; he was raised out of the dead.”
17 En effet Hérode lui-même avait envoyé saisir Jean, et l'avait fait enchaîner en prison à cause d'Hérodias femme de Philippe son frère; car il l'avait épousée,
For Herod himself, having sent forth, laid hold on John, and bound him in the prison, because of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, because he married her,
18 et Jean disait à Hérode: « Il ne t'est pas permis de posséder la femme de ton frère. »
for John said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have the wife of your brother”;
19 Mais Hérodias lui en gardait rancune, et elle voulait le faire mourir, et elle ne le pouvait pas,
and Herodias was having a quarrel with him, and was willing to kill him, and was not able,
20 car Hérode craignait Jean; sachant que c'était un homme juste et saint, il le protégeait; et après l'avoir entendu, il était souvent inquiet, et il l'écoutait volontiers.
for Herod was fearing John, knowing him [to be] a righteous and holy man, and was keeping watch over him, and having heard him, was doing many things, and hearing him gladly.
21 Et un jour propice étant survenu, auquel Hérode, pour la fête anniversaire de sa naissance, donna un festin à ses grands et aux généraux, et aux principaux de la Galilée,
And a seasonable day having come when Herod on his birthday was making a banquet to his great men, and to the chiefs of thousands, and to the first men of Galilee,
22 et sa fille Hérodias étant entrée et ayant dansé, elle plut à Hérode et aux convives. Or le roi dit à la jeune fille: « Demande-moi ce que tu voudras, et je te le donnerai. »
and the daughter of that Herodias having come in, and having danced, and having pleased Herod and those dining with him, the king said to the girl, “Ask of me whatever you will, and I will give to you,”
23 Et il lui dit avec serment: « Quoi que ce soit que tu me demandes, je te le donnerai, fût-ce la moitié de mon royaume. »
and he swore to her, “Whatever you may ask me, I will give to you—to the half of my kingdom.”
24 Et étant sortie, elle dit à sa mère: « Que demanderai-je? » Et elle lui dit: « La tête de Jean le baptiseur. »
And she, having gone forth, said to her mother, “What will I ask for myself?” And she said, “The head of John the Immerser”;
25 Et étant aussitôt rentrée avec empressement auprès du roi, elle lui adressa sa demande en disant: « Je veux que tu me donnes immédiatement sur un plat la tête de Jean le baptiseur. »
and having come in immediately with haste to the king, she asked, saying, “I will that you may immediately give me the head of John the Immerser on a plate.”
26 Et le roi devenu tout triste, ne voulut pas, à cause de ses serments et des convives, lui manquer de parole;
And the king, made very sorrowful because of the oaths and of those reclining with him, would not put her away,
27 et aussitôt le roi expédia un de ses gardes, avec l'ordre de rapporter sa tête;
and immediately the king having sent a guardsman, commanded his head to be brought,
28 et étant parti il le décapita dans la prison, et rapporta sa tête sur un plat, et il la donna à la jeune fille, et la jeune fille la donna à sa mère.
and he having gone, beheaded him in the prison, and brought his head on a plate, and gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother;
29 Et ses disciples l'ayant appris vinrent et enlevèrent son cadavre, et ils le placèrent dans un tombeau.
and having heard, his disciples came and took up his corpse, and laid it in the tomb.
30 Et les apôtres se réunirent auprès de Jésus, et ils lui racontèrent tout ce qu'ils avaient fait et tout ce qu'ils avaient enseigné.
And the apostles are gathered together to Jesus, and they told Him all, and how many things they did, and how many things they taught,
31 Et il leur dit: « Venez, vous seuls, dans un lieu désert à l'écart, et reposez-vous un peu. » En effet les allants et venants étaient nombreux, et ils n'avaient pas même le loisir de manger.
and He said to them, “Come yourselves apart to a desolate place, and rest a little,” for those coming and those going were many, and not even to eat had they opportunity,
32 Et ils s'en allèrent sur la barque dans un lieu désert à l'écart.
and they went away to a desolate place, in the boat, by themselves.
33 Et on les vit partir, et plusieurs les reconnurent, et ils accoururent là à pied de toutes les villes, et ils les devancèrent.
And the multitudes saw them going away, and many recognized Him, and they ran there by land from all the cities, and went before them, and came together to Him,
34 Et lorsqu'il aborda, il vit une foule nombreuse, et il fut ému de compassion envers eux, car ils étaient comme des brebis qui n'ont point de berger; et il se mit à leur enseigner beaucoup de choses.
and having come forth, Jesus saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion on them, that they were as sheep not having a shepherd, and He began to teach many things.
35 Et comme l'heure était déjà fort avancée, ses disciples s'étant approchés de lui disaient: « Ce lieu est désert, et l'heure est déjà fort avancée,
And now the hour being advanced, His disciples having come near to Him, say, “The place is desolate, and the hour is now advanced,
36 renvoie-les, afin qu'ils aillent dans les campagnes et les villages d'alentour s'acheter de quoi manger. »
let them away, that having gone away into the surrounding fields and villages, they may buy loaves for themselves, for they do not have what they may eat.”
37 Mais il leur répliqua: « Donnez-leur vous-mêmes à manger. » Et ils lui disent: « Allons acheter pour deux cents deniers de pains, et donnons-leur à manger! »
And He answering said to them, “You give them to eat,” and they say to Him, “Having gone away, may we buy two hundred denarii worth of loaves, and give to them to eat?”
38 Mais il leur dit: « Combien avez-vous de pains? Allez le voir. » Et après s'en être assurés, ils disent: « Cinq, et deux poissons. »
And He says to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see”; and having known, they say, “Five, and two fishes.”
39 Et il leur ordonna que tout le monde s'assît, groupes par groupes, sur l'herbe verte;
And He commanded them to make all recline in companies on the green grass,
40 et ils s'étendirent bandes par bandes de cent et de cinquante.
and they sat down in squares, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41 Et après avoir pris les cinq pains et les deux poissons, il prononça, en levant les yeux vers le ciel, une bénédiction; puis il rompit les pains, et il les donnait aux disciples, afin qu'ils les leur offrissent; et il distribua à tous les deux poissons.
And having taken the five loaves and the two fishes, having looked up to the sky, He blessed, and broke the loaves, and was giving [them] to His disciples, that they may set [them] before them, and the two fishes He divided to all,
42 Et tous mangèrent et furent rassasiés;
and they all ate, and were filled,
43 et on emporta des morceaux de quoi remplir douze corbeilles, ainsi que des poissons.
and they took up of broken pieces twelve hand-baskets full, and of the fishes,
44 Et ceux qui avaient mangé les pains étaient cinq mille hommes.
and those eating of the loaves were about five thousand men.
45 Et aussitôt il contraignit ses disciples à monter dans la barque et à passer les premiers sur l'autre rive, vers Bethsaïda, jusques à ce que lui-même eût renvoyé la foule.
And immediately He constrained His disciples to go into the boat, and to go before [Him] to the other side, to Bethsaida, until He may let the multitude away,
46 Et après les avoir congédiés, il s'en alla sur la montagne pour prier.
and having taken leave of them, He went away to the mountain to pray.
47 Et le soir étant venu, la barque se trouvait au milieu de la mer, et lui-même était seul à terre.
And evening having come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and He alone on the land;
48 Et les ayant vus battus par les flots, pendant qu'ils ramaient, car le vent leur était contraire, il vient vers eux à la quatrième veille de la nuit, en marchant sur la mer, et il voulait les dépasser.
and He saw them harassed in the rowing, for the wind was against them, and about the fourth watch of the night He comes to them walking on the sea, and wished to pass by them.
49 Mais eux, en le voyant marcher sur la mer, s'imaginèrent que c'était un fantôme, et ils poussèrent des cris;
And they having seen Him walking on the sea, thought [it] to be an apparition, and cried out,
50 car tous le virent et furent troublés; mais aussitôt il leur parla et leur dit: « Courage, c'est moi, n'ayez pas peur? »
for they all saw Him, and were troubled, and immediately He spoke with them, and says to them, “Take courage! I AM; do not be afraid.”
51 Et il monta auprès d'eux dans la barque, et le vent tomba. Et ils ressentirent en eux-mêmes une grande stupéfaction;
And He went up to them into the boat, and the wind stilled, and greatly out of measure they were amazed in themselves, and were wondering,
52 car ils n'avaient pas compris l'affaire des pains, mais leur cœur était endurci.
for they did not understand concerning the loaves, for their heart has been hard.
53 Et ayant achevé leur traversée, ils touchèrent terre à Gennèsareth, et ils abordèrent.
And having passed over, they came on the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore,
54 Et lorsqu'ils furent sortis de la barque, aussitôt qu'on l'eut reconnu,
and they having come forth out of the boat, immediately having recognized Him,
55 on parcourut toute cette contrée-là, et on se mit à transporter les malades sur leurs couchettes, partout où on entendait dire qu'il se trouvait.
they ran around through all that surrounding region, and they began to carry around on the pallets those being ill, where they were hearing that He is,
56 Et partout où il entrait dans les villages, ou dans les villes, ou dans les campagnes, on déposait les malades dans les places publiques, et on le sollicitait afin qu'ils pussent toucher, ne fût-ce que la frange de son manteau, et tous ceux qui le touchèrent étaient guéris.
and wherever He was going, to villages, or cities, or fields, in the marketplaces they were laying the ailing, and were calling on Him, that they may touch if it were but the fringe of His garment, and as many as were touching Him were saved.
