Ézéchiel 12
1 Et la parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée en ces mots:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 Fils de l'homme, tu résides au milieu d'une race rebelle, qui a des yeux pour voir, mais ne voit pas, des oreilles pour entendre, mais n'entend pas, car c'est une race rebelle.
Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the iniquities of those, who have eyes to see, and see not; and have ears to hear, and hear not: because it is a provoking house.
3 Mais toi, fils de l'homme, fais-toi un attirail d'émigrant, et émigre de jour sous leurs yeux, et émigre du lieu où tu es, en un autre lieu, sous leurs yeux. Peut-être verront-ils qu'ils sont une race rebelle.
You therefore, son of man, prepare yourself baggage for going into captivity by day in their sight; and you shall be led into captivity from your place into another place in their sight; that they may see that it is a provoking house.
4 Et tu feras partir ton attirail, comme un attirail d'émigrant, de jour sous leurs yeux, et toi, tu partiras le soir sous leurs yeux, comme on part pour émigrer.
And you shall carry forth your baggage, baggage for captivity, by day before their eyes: and you shall go forth at even, as a captive goes forth, in their sight.
5 Sous leurs yeux fais une brèche au mur de ta maison, et fais sortir ton attirail parla.
Dig for yourself into the wall [of the house], and you shall pass through it in their sight:
6 Sous leurs yeux mets-le sur ton épaule, emporte-le de nuit, tu te voileras le visage pour ne pas voir le pays; car je t'ai mis comme signe prophétique devant la maison d'Israël.
you shall be lifted up on [men's] shoulders, and shall go forth in secret: you shall cover your face, and shall not see the ground: because I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.
7 Et j'exécutai l'ordre que j'avais reçu. Je fis sortir mon attirail comme un attirail d'émigrant, de jour; et le soir je fis une brèche au mur de ma maison avec la main, et le fis sortir de nuit, le prenant sur l'épaule sous leurs yeux.
And I did thus according to all that he commanded me; and I carried forth my baggage for captivity by day, and in the evening I dug through the wall for myself, and went out secretly; I was taken up on [men's] shoulders before them.
8 Et le matin, la parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée en ces mots:
And the word of the Lord came to me in the morning, saying,
9 Fils de l'homme, la maison d'Israël, cette race rebelle, ne t'a-t-elle pas dit: Que fais-tu?
Son of man, have not the house of Israel, the provoking house, said to you, What do you?
10 Dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: C'est le prince qui est à Jérusalem que désigne cette prophétie, ainsi que toute la maison d'Israël qui s'y trouve.
Say to them, Thus says the Lord God, the Prince and the Ruler in Israel, even to all the house of Israel who are in the midst of them:
11 Dis: Je suis votre signe prophétique. La chose que j'ai faite, est celle qui leur arrivera: ils émigreront et iront en captivité.
say, I am performing signs: as I have done, so shall it be to him: they shall go into banishment and captivity.
12 Et le prince qui est parmi eux portera sur son épaule un fardeau, de nuit, et partira; à la muraille on fera une brèche pour l'y faire passer; il se voilera le visage pour ne pas voir de ses yeux le pays.
And the prince in the midst of them shall be borne upon shoulders, and shall go forth in secret through the wall, and shall dig so that he may go forth thereby: he shall cover his face, that he may not be seen by [any] eye, and he himself shall not see the ground.
13 Et j'étendrai mon réseau sur lui, afin qu'il se prenne dans mon filet, et je l'amènerai à Babel, au pays des Chaldéens, mais il ne le verra pas et il y mourra.
And I will spread out my net upon him, and he shall be caught in my toils: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; but he shall not see it, though he shall die there.
14 Et tous ceux qui l'entourent, ses auxiliaires, et tous ses bataillons, je les disséminerai à tous les vents, et tirerai l'épée derrière eux.
And I will scatter to every wind all his assistants round about him, and all that help him; and I will draw out a sword after them;
15 Alors ils reconnaîtront que je suis l'Éternel, quand je les aurai dispersés parmi les nations, et disséminés dans les pays divers.
And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have scattered them amongst the nations; and I will disperse them in the countries.
16 Cependant j'en laisserai un petit nombre survivre à l'épée, à la famine et à la peste, afin qu'ils racontent toutes leurs abominations aux nations chez lesquelles ils viendront, et qu'ils reconnaissent que je suis l'Éternel.
And I will leave of them [a few] men in number [spared] from the sword, and from famine, and pestilence; that they may declare all their iniquities amongst the nations whither they have gone; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
17 Et la parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée en ces mots:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
18 Fils de l'homme, mange ton pain dans le trouble, et bois ton eau dans l'anxiété et les alarmes!
Son of man, eat your bread with sorrow, and drink [your] water with torment and affliction.
19 Et dis au peuple du pays: Ainsi prononce le Seigneur, l'Éternel, sur les habitants de Jérusalem dans le pays d'Israël: Ils mangeront leur pain dans les alarmes, et boiront leur eau dans la stupeur, parce que leur pays sera désolé, dépouillé de tout ce qui y est, à cause de l'injustice de tous ceux qui l'habitent;
And you shall say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, on the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread in scarcity, and shall drink their water in desolation, that the land may be desolate with all that it contains: for all that dwell in it are ungodly.
20 et les villes peuplées deviendront désertes, et le pays sera désolé, afin que vous sachiez que je suis l'Éternel.
And their inhabited cities shall be laid utterly waste, and the land shall be desolate; and you shall know that I am the Lord.
21 Et la parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée en ces mots:
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
22 Fils de l'homme, qu'est-ce que ces discours moqueurs dans le pays d'Israël? vous dites: Les jours se prolongent, et toutes les visions sont perdues.
Son of man, what is your parable on the land of Israel, that you say, The days are long, the vision has perished?
23 Pour cela dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Je ferai cesser ces discours moqueurs, et on ne les tiendra plus en Israël. Dis-leur au contraire: Le temps approche, et toutes les visions s'accompliront.
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord; I will even set aside this parable, and the house of Israel shall no more at all use this parable: for you shall say to them, The days are at hand, and the import of every vision.
24 Car désormais il n'y aura plus de visions vaines, ni d'oracles trompeurs dans la maison d'Israël;
For there shall no more be any false vision, nor any one prophesying flatteries in the midst of the children of Israel.
25 car je suis l'Éternel; je parle, et ce que je dis s'exécutera, sans plus long délai: oui, c'est durant vos jours, race rebelle, que je parle et que j'exécuterai ma parole, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
For I the Lord will speak my words; I will speak and perform [them], and will no more delay, for in your days, O provoking house, I will speak the word, and will perform [it], says the Lord.
26 Et la parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée en ces mots:
Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
27 Fils de l'homme, voici, les hommes d'Israël disent: La vision qu'il a, est à long terme, et c'est pour des temps éloignés qu'il prophétise.
Son of man, behold, the provoking house of Israel boldly say, The vision which this man sees is for many days, and he prophesies for times afar off.
28 C'est pourquoi dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Tout ce que j'ai prononcé, ne sera plus ajourné, et mes paroles seront exécutées, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord; Henceforth none of my words shall linger, which I shall speak: I will speak and do, says the Lord.
