1 Chroniques 8
1 Et Benjamin engendra Béla, son premier-né, Asbel, le second, et Aherach, le troisième,
Now Benjamin conceived Bela as his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,
2 Noha, le quatrième, et Rapha le cinquième.
Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.
3 Et Béla eut des fils: Addar et Géra, et Abihud
And the sons of Bela were: Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,
4 et Abisua et Naaman et Ahoah
as well as Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,
5 et Géra et Sepuphan et Huram.
then also Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.
6 Et suivent les fils d'Ehud, lesquels furent les patriarches des habitants de Géba, et ils les emmenèrent captifs à Manachath,
These are the sons of Ehud, leaders of the kindred living in Geba, who were moved away to Manahath.
7 savoir Naaman et Ahia et Géra, c'est celui-ci qui les emmena captifs, et il engendra Uzza et Ahihud.
And Naaman, and Ahijah, and Gera, he also moved them away; and he conceived Uzza and Ahihud.
8 Et Sacharaïm engendra dans la campagne de Moab, après les avoir répudiées, avec Husim et Baara, ses femmes, des fils.
Then Shaharaim conceived, in the region of Moab, after he sent away Hushim and Baara, his wives;
9 Et il eut de Hodès, sa femme, Jobab et Tsibia et Meisa et Malcam
and so, of his wife Hodesh, he conceived Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam,
10 et Jehuts et Sochia et Mirma. Tels sont ses fils, patriarches.
and also Jeuz and Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, the leaders of their families.
11 Et de Husim il eut Abitub et Elpaal.
Truly, of Hushim he conceived Abitub and Elpaal.
12 Et les fils d'Elpaal: Eber et Miseam et Samer, lequel bâtit Ono et Lod et ses annexes.
And the sons of Elpaal were Eber, and Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod and its daughters.
13 Et Bria et Sema sont les patriarches des habitants d'Ajalon; ils mirent en fuite les habitants de Gath.
Now Beriah and Shema were leaders of their families living in Aijalon; these put to flight the inhabitants of Gath.
14 Et Ahio, Sasac et Jerémoth
And Ahio, and Shashak, and Jeremoth,
15 et Zebadia et Arad et Ader
and Zebadiah, and Arad, and Eder,
16 et Michaël et Jispa et Joah sont les fils de Bria.
as well as Michael, and Ishpah, and Joha, were the sons of Beriah.
17 Et Zebadia et Mesullam et Hiski et Haber
Then Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hizki, and Heber,
18 et Jismeraï et Jizlia et Jobab sont les fils d'Elpaal.
and Ishmerai, and Izliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.
19 Et Jakim et Zichri et Zabdi
Then Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi,
20 et Elioeinaï et Tsilthaï et Eliel
and Elienai, and Zillethai, and Eliel,
21 et Adaïa et Beraïa et Simrath sont les fils de Siméï.
and Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.
22 Et Jispan et Héber et Eliel
Then Ishpan, and Eber, and Eliel,
23 et Abdon et Zichri et Hanan
and Abdon, and Zichri, and Hanan,
24 et Hanania et Eilam et Anthothia
and Hananiah, and Elam, and Anthothijah,
25 et Jiphdia et Pnuel sont les fils de Sasac.
and Iphdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.
26 Et Samseraï et Secharia et Athalia
Then Shamsherai, and Shehariah and Athaliah,
27 et Jaerseia et Elia et Zichri sont les fils de Jeroham.
and Jaareshiah, and Elijah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham.
28 Ce sont des patriarches d'après leurs familles, des chefs: ils habitaient à Jérusalem.
These were the patriarchs and leaders of the families who were living in Jerusalem.
29 Et à Gabaon habitait le père de Gabaon, et le nom de sa femme était Maacha.
Now in Gibeon, there lived Jeiel, the father of Gibeon; and the name of his wife was Maacah,
30 Et son fils premier-né était Abdon, et [les autres] Tsur et Kis et Baal et Nadab
and his firstborn son was Abdon, and then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,
31 et Gedor et Ahio et Zacher.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zecher, and Mikloth.
32 Et Micloth engendra Simea et eux aussi habitaient en face de leurs frères à Jérusalem avec leurs frères.
And Mikloth conceived Shimeah. And they lived opposite their brothers in Jerusalem, with their brothers.
33 Et Ner engendra Kis, et Kis engendra Saül, et Saül engendra Jonathan et Maleki-Sua et Abinadab et Esbaal.
Now Ner conceived Kish, and Kish conceived Saul. Then Saul conceived Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
34 Et le fils de Jonathan fut Meribbaal, et Meribbaal engendra Micha.
And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; and Meribbaal conceived Micah.
35 Et les fils de Micha sont: Pithon et Mélech et Thaërèa et Achaz.
The sons of Micah were Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
36 Et Achaz engendra Joadda, et Joadda engendra Alemeth et Azmaveth et Zimri, et Zimri engendra Motsa.
And Ahaz conceived Jehoaddah. And Jehoaddah conceived Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri. And Zimri conceived Moza.
37 Et Motsa engendra Binea, dont le fils fut Rapha qui ont pour fils Eleasa, dont le fils fut Atsel.
And Moza conceived Binea, whose son was Raphah, of whom was born Eleasah, who conceived Azel.
38 Et Atsel eut six fils dont les noms suivent: Azricam, Bochru et Ismaël et Séaria et Obadia et Hanan: tout autant de fils de Atsel.
Now there were six sons for Azel, whose names were Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.
39 Et les fils de Esec son frère: Ulam, son premier-né, Jeüs, le second, et Elipheleth, le troisième.
Then the sons of Eshek, his brother, were Ulam the firstborn, and Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.
40 Et les fils d'Ulam furent de braves guerriers, bandant l'arc, et ils eurent beaucoup de fils et de petits-fils, cent cinquante. Tous ceux-là sont d'entre les fils de Benjamin.
And the sons of Ulam were very robust men, drawing the bow with great strength. And they had many sons and grandsons, even to one hundred fifty. All these were sons of Benjamin.
