1 Cantique de Maaloth, de David. Éternel, mon cœur ne s'est point enflé; mes yeux ne se sont point élevés; et je n'ai point recherché des choses trop grandes et trop élevées pour moi.

A Song of Ascents. By David. Yahweh, my heart isn’t arrogant, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me.

2 N'ai-je pas soumis et fait taire mon âme, comme un enfant sevré fait envers sa mère? Mon âme est en moi comme un enfant sevré.

Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

3 Israël, attends-toi à l'Éternel, dès maintenant et à toujours!

Israel, hope in Yahweh, from this time forward and forever more.
