Psaumes 118

1 Alléluiah! Rendez gloire au Seigneur, parce qu'il est bon, et que sa miséricorde est éternelle.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is] good: because his mercy [endureth] for ever.

2 Que la maison d'Israël dise qu'il est bon, et sa miséricorde éternelle.

Let Israel now say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.

3 Que la maison d'Aaron dise qu'il est bon, et sa miséricorde éternelle.

Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.

4 Que tous ceux qui craignent le Seigneur disent qu'il est bon, et sa miséricorde éternelle.

Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy [endureth] for ever.

5 Dans la tribulation j'ai invoqué le Seigneur, et il m'a exaucé, et il m'a mis au large.

I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, [and set me] in a large place.

6 Que le Seigneur soit mon champion, et je ne craindrai rien de ce que l'homme peut me faire.

The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

7 Que le Seigneur soit mon champion, et moi je mépriserai mes ennemis.

The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see [my desire] upon them that hate me.

8 Mieux vaut se confier au Seigneur que se confier à l'homme.

[It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

9 Mieux vaut espérer dans le Seigneur qu'espérer dans les princes.

[It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

10 Toutes les nations m'avaient environné; mais, au nom du Seigneur, je les ai repoussées.

All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.

11 Elles m'avaient enfermé dans un cercle pour m'envelopper; mais, au nom du Seigneur, je les ai repoussées.

They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

12 Elles se pressaient autour de moi comme des abeilles autour d'un rayon de miel; elles lançaient des flammes, comme des épines en feu; mais, au nom du Seigneur, je les ai repoussées.

They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

13 À leur choc j'ai craint de tomber, et le Seigneur m'a secouru.

Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

14 Le Seigneur est ma force et ma louange; c'est lui qui m'a sauvé.

The LORD [is] my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

15 La voix de l'allégresse et du salut est sous les tentes des justes; la droite du Seigneur a fait œuvre de puissance.

The voice of rejoicing and salvation [is] in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

16 La droite du Seigneur m'a élevé; la droite du Seigneur a fait œuvre de puissance.

The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

17 Je ne mourrai point; mais je vivrai et je raconterai les œuvres du Seigneur.

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

18 Le Seigneur m'a châtié pour me corriger; mais il ne m'a point livré à la mort.

The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

19 Ouvrez-moi les portes de la justice, et je les franchirai, et je rendrai gloire au Seigneur.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, [and] I will praise the LORD:

20 C'est la porte du Seigneur, c'est par elle que les justes entreront.

This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

21 Je te rendrai gloire, parce que tu m'as exaucé, et que tu as été mon salut.

I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

22 La pierre que les constructeurs avaient rejetée est devenue la pierre angulaire de l'édifice.

The stone [which] the builders refused is become the head [stone] of the corner.

23 C'est le Seigneur qui a fait cela, et nos yeux en sont émerveillés.

This is the LORD’s doing; it [is] marvellous in our eyes.

24 Voici le jour qu'a fait le Seigneur; tressaillons et réjouissons-nous en ce jour.

This [is] the day [which] the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Seigneur, sauve-moi; Seigneur, fais-moi prospérer.

Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26 Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur. Nous vous avons bénis de la maison du Seigneur.

Blessed [be] he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

27 Dieu, c'est le Seigneur; il a brillé à nos yeux: célébrez une fête solennelle avec des rameaux touffus, et ombragez jusqu'aux cornes de l'autel.

God [is] the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, [even] unto the horns of the altar.

28 Tu es mon Dieu, et je te rendrai gloire; tu es mon Dieu, et je t'exalterai; je te rendrai gloire, parce que tu m'as exaucé, et que tu as été mon salut.

Thou [art] my God, and I will praise thee: [thou art] my God, I will exalt thee.

29 Rendez gloire au Seigneur, parce qu'il est bon, et que sa miséricorde est éternelle.
