Zacharie 12

1 Enoncé de la parole de l’Eternel concernant Israël: Parole de l’Eternel qui a déployé les cieux, fondé la terre et formé l’esprit qui anime l’homme:

The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. [Thus] saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:

2 "Voici que je vais faire de Jérusalem une amphore donnant le vertige à tous les peuples d’alentour; même pour ce qui est de Juda, il sera là quand Jérusalem sera serrée de près.

behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling unto all the peoples round about, and upon Judah also shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem.

3 En ce jour, je ferai de Jérusalem une pierre lourde à soulever pour toutes les nations; tous ceux qui voudront la soulever s’écorcheront cruellement. Cependant tous les peuples de la terre se réuniront contre elle.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it.

4 En ce jour, dit l’Eternel, je frapperai tous les chevaux d’épouvante et leurs cavaliers de démence; mais sur la maison de Juda j’aurai les yeux ouverts, tandis que je frapperai de cécité tous les chevaux des nations.

In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.

5 Alors les chefs de Juda diront en leur cœur: "Je vais renforcer le courage des habitants de Jérusalem par l’Eternel-Cebaot, leur Dieu."

And the chieftains of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

6 En ce jour, je ferai des chefs de Juda comme un brasier allumé parmi du bois, comme une torche enflammée au milieu d’un tas de gerbes; ils dévoreront, à droite; à gauche, toutes les nations environnantes; mais Jérusalem continuera à être solidement assise dans Jérusalem.

In that day will I make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a torch of fire among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall yet again dwell in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

7 Et tout d’abord l’Eternel viendra au secours des tentes de Juda, pour que la gloire de la maison de David et la gloire des habitants de Jérusalem ne s’élèvent pas trop au-dessus de Juda.

The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified above Judah.

8 En ce jour, l’Eternel étendra sa protection sur les habitants de Jérusalem, et alors le plus vacillant parmi eux sera comme David, et ceux de la maison de David paraîtront à leurs yeux comme des êtres divins, comme des anges de l’Eternel.

In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

9 En ce jour, je m’appliquerai à détruire toutes les nations venues contre Jérusalem.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 Mais sur la maison de David et sur les habitants de Jérusalem je répandrai un esprit de bienveillance et de pitié, et ils porteront les regards vers moi à cause de celui qui aura été percé de leurs coups, ils le regretteront comme on regrette un fils unique, et le pleureront amèrement comme on pleure un premier-né.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto me whom they have pierced: and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

11 En ce jour, il y aura grand deuil à Jérusalem, comme fut le deuil de Hadad-Rimôn dans la vallée de Meghiddôn.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

12 Et le pays sera en deuil, chaque famille à part, la famille de la maison de David à part et leurs femmes à part, la famille de la maison de Nathan à part et leurs femmes à part,

And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

13 la famille de la maison de Lévi à part et leurs femmes à part, la famille de Séméi à part et leurs femmes à part,

the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;

14 de même toutes les familles restantes, chaque famille à part et leurs femmes à part.

all the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
