Jérémie 17
1 Le péché de Juda est inscrit avec un burin de fer, avec une pointe de diamant; il est gravé sur la table de leur coeur, aux angles de vos autels,
The synne of Juda is writun with an irone poyntel, in a nail of adamaunt; it is writun on the breede of the herte of hem, and in the hornes of the auteris of hem.
2 de telle sorte que leurs fils gardent le souvenir de leurs autels, de leurs statues d’Achéra près des arbres verdoyants, sur les hautes collines.
Whanne the sones of hem bithenken on her auteris, and woodis, and on the trees ful of boowis, makynge sacrifice in the feld in hiye munteyns,
3 O ma montagne qui te dresses dans la plaine, tes richesses, tous tes trésors, je les livrerai au pillage, ainsi que tes hauts-lieux, à cause des péchés commis sur tout ton territoire.
Y schal yyue thi strengthe and alle thi tresouris in to rauyschyng, thin hiye thingis for synnes in alle thin endis.
4 Tu seras dépouilléet par ta fautede l’héritage que je t’avais donné, et je te forcerai de servir tes ennemis dans un pays que tu ne connais point; car vous avez allumé un feu dans mes narines, qui brûlera à jamais.
And thou schalt be left aloone fro thin eritage which Y yaf to thee; and Y schal make thee to serue thin enemyes, in the lond which thou knowist not; for thou hast kyndlid fier in my strong veniaunce, it schal brenne til in to with outen ende.
5 Ainsi parle I’Eternel: Maudit soit l’homme qui met sa confiance en un mortel, prend pour appui un être de chair, et dont le coeur s’éloigne de Dieu!
The Lord seith these thingis, Cursid is the man that trestith in man, and settith fleisch his arm, and his herte goith awei fro the Lord.
6 Pareil à la bruyère dans les landes, il ne verra point venir de jour propice; il aura pour demeure les régions calcinées du désert, une terre couverte de sel et inhabitable.
For he schal be as bromes in desert, and he schal not se, whanne good schal come; but he schal dwelle in drynesse in desert, in the lond of saltnesse, and vnabitable.
7 Béni soit l’homme qui Se confie en l’Eternel, et dont l’Eternel est l’espoir!
Blessid is the man that tristith in the Lord, and the Lord schal be his trist.
8 II sera tel qu’un arbre planté au bord de l’eau et qui étend ses racines près d’une rivière: vienne la saison chaude, il ne s’en aperçoit pas, et son feuillage reste vert: une année de sécheresse, il ne s’en inquiète point, il ne cessera pas de porter des fruits.
And he schal be as a tre, which is plauntid ouer watris, which sendith hise rootis to moisture; and it schal not drede, whanne heete schal come; and the leef therof schal be greene, and it schal not be moued in the tyme of drynesse, nether ony tyme it schal faile to make fruyte.
9 Le coeur est plus que toute chose plein de détours, et iI est malade: qui pourrait le connaître?
The herte of man is schrewid, and `may not be souyt; who schal knowe it?
10 Moi, l’Eternel, moi je scrute les coeurs, je sonde les reins, je sais payer chacun selon ses voies, selon le fruit de ses oeuvres.
Y am the Lord sekynge the herte, and preuynge the reynes, and Y yyue to ech man after his weye, and aftir the fruyt of his fyndyngis.
11 La perdrix s’entoure d’une famille qu’elle n’a point mise au monde; tel est celui qui acquiert l’opulence d’une manière inique au beau milieu de ses jours, il devra l’abandonner et sa fin sera misérable.
A partriche nurschide tho thingis whiche sche bredde not; he made richessis, and not in doom; in the myddis of hise daies he schal forsake tho, and in hise laste tyme he schal be vnwijs.
12 C’Est un trône glorieux, sublime de toute éternité, que le lieu de notre sanctuaire!
The seete of glorie of hiynesse was at the bigynnyng the place of oure halewyng, the abidyng of Israel.
13 O espérance d’Israël, Eternel, tous ceux qui te délaissent seront confondus! Oui, ceux qui se tiennent éloignés de moi seront inscrits sur la poussière, car ils ont abandonné la source d’eaux vives: l’Eternel.
Lord, alle thei that forsaken thee, schulen be schent; thei that goen aweie fro thee, schulen be writun in erthe, for thei han forsake the Lord, a veyne of quyk watirs.
14 Guéris-moi, Seigneur, et je serai guéri; sauve-moi et je serai sauvé, car tu es l’objet de mes louanges.
Lord, heele thou me, and Y schal be heelid; make thou me saaf, and Y schal be saaf; for thou art myn heriyng.
15 Voici, ils me disent: "Où est la parole de l’Eternel? Qu’elle s’accomplisse donc!"
Lo! thei seien to me, Where is the word of the Lord? come it.
16 Pourtant, moi, je n’ai point refusé d’être un fidèle pasteur à ta suite, ni appelé de mes voeux le jour du malheur, tu le sais bien! Les paroles sorties de mes lèvres sont à découvert devant toi.
And Y am not disturblid, suynge thee scheepherd, and Y desiride not the dai of man, thou woost. That that yede out of my lippis was riytful in thi siyt.
17 Ne deviens pas pour moi une cause d’effroi: tu es mon abri au jour de l’adversité!
Be thou not to drede to me; thou art myn hope in the dai of turment.
18 Que mes persécuteurs soient confondus, et que je ne sois pas confondu, moi! Qu’ils soient atterrés, mais que je ne sois pas atterré, moi! Laisse arriver sur eux le jour de la calamité et inflige-leur une double catastrophe!
Be thei schent, that pursuen me, and be Y not schent; drede thei, and drede not Y; brynge in on hem a dai of turment, and defoule thou hem bi double defouling.
19 Ainsi me parla l’Eternel: "Va et tiens-toi à la porte des Enfants du Peuple, par où entrent les rois de Juda et par où ils sortent, et à toutes les portes de Jérusalem;
The Lord seith these thingis to me, Go thou, and stonde in the yate of the sones of the puple, bi whiche the kingis of Juda entren and goen out, and in alle the yatis of Jerusalem.
20 et tu leur diras: Ecoutez la parole de l’Eternel, rois de Juda et vous tous, gens de Juda et habitants de Jérusalem, qui franchissez ces portes!
And thou schalt seie to hem, Here the word of the Lord, ye kingis of Juda, and al Judee, and alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem, that entren bi these yatis.
21 Ainsi parle l’Eternel: Evitez avec soin, pour votre salut, de porter des fardeaux le jour du Sabbat et de les introduire par les portes de Jérusalem.
The Lord God seith these thingis, Kepe ye youre soulis, and nyle ye bere birthuns in the dai of sabat, nether bringe in bi the yatis of Jerusalem.
22 Ne transportez pas non plus de fardeau hors de vos maisons le jour du Sabbat et ne faites aucun ouvrage; mais sanctifiez le jour du Sabbat, comme je l’ai ordonné à vos ancêtres.
And nyle ye caste birthuns out of youre housis in the dai of sabat, and ye schulen not do ony werk; halewe ye the dai of sabat, as Y comaundide to youre fadris.
23 Eux, toutefois, n’ont ni obéi ni prêté attention, raidissant la nuque pour ne pas écouter ni accepter de remontrance.
And thei herden not, nether bowiden doun her eere, but thei maden hard her nol, that thei schulden not here me, and that thei schulden not take chastisyng.
24 Et maintenant, si vous voulez bien m’obéir, dit l’Eternel, ne pas introduire de fardeau par les portes de cette ville le jour du Sabbat, mais sanctifier le jour du Sabbat en vous abstenant d’y faire aucun travail;
And it schal be, if ye heren me, seith the Lord, that ye bere not in birthuns bi the yatis of this citee in the dai of sabat, and if ye halewen the dai of sabat, that ye do not werk ther ynne,
25 alors, par les portes de cette ville, des rois et des princes qui occupent le trône de David entreront, montés sur des chars et des chevaux; ils entreront, eux et leurs princes, les hommes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem, et cette cité sera habitée à jamais.
kingis and princes sittynge on the seete of Dauid schulen entre bi the yatis of this citee, and stiynge in charis and horsis; thei, and the princis of hem, the men of Juda, and the dwelleris of Jerusalem; and this citee schal be enhabitid withouten ende.
26 De plus, on viendra des villes de Juda, des environs de Jérusalem, du pays de Benjamin, des basses terres, de la montagne et du midi, en apportant des holocaustes et d’autres sacrifices, des oblations et de l’encens, en apportant des offrandes de reconnaissance dans la maison de l’Eternel.
And thei schulen come fro the citees of Juda, and fro the cumpas of Jerusalem, and fro the lond of Beniamyn, and fro feeldi places, and fro hilli places, and fro the south, beringe brent sacrifice, and slayn sacrifice, and encense; and thei schulen bringe offring in to the hous of the Lord.
27 Mais si vous ne m’obéissez pas en sanctifiant le jour du Sabbat et en vous abstenant de transporter des fardeaux et de franchir les portes de Jérusalem le jour du Sabbat, je mettrai le feu à ses portes; il dévorera les palais de Jérusalem et ne s’éteindra pas.
Forsothe if ye heren not me, that ye halewe the dai of sabat, and that ye bere not a birthun, and that ye bringe not in bi the yatis of Jerusalem in the dai of sabat, Y schal kyndle fier in the yatis therof; and it schal deuoure the housis of Jerusalem, and it schal not be quenchid.
