Psaumes 119
1 Bienheureux ceux qui sont intègres dans leur voie, qui marchent dans la loi de l’Éternel.
Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
2 Bienheureux ceux qui gardent ses témoignages, qui le cherchent de tout leur cœur,
Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.
3 Qui aussi ne font pas d’iniquité; ils marchent dans ses voies.
For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.
4 Tu as commandé tes préceptes pour qu’on les garde soigneusement.
Thou hast commanded [us] diligently to keep thy precepts.
5 Oh, que mes voies soient dressées, pour garder tes statuts!
O that my ways were directed to keep thine ordinances.
6 Alors je ne serai pas honteux quand je regarderai à tous tes commandements.
Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all thy commandments.
7 Je te célébrerai d’un cœur droit, quand j’aurai appris les ordonnances de ta justice.
I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learnt the judgments of thy righteousness.
8 Je garderai tes statuts; ne me délaisse pas tout à fait.
I will keep thine ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.
9 Comment un jeune homme rendra-t-il pure sa voie? Ce sera en y prenant garde selon ta parole.
Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping thy words.
10 Je t’ai cherché de tout mon cœur; ne me laisse pas m’égarer de tes commandements.
With my whole heart have I diligently sought thee: cast me not away from thy commandments.
11 J’ai caché ta parole dans mon cœur, afin que je ne pèche pas contre toi.
I have hidden thine oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Éternel! tu es béni; enseigne-moi tes statuts.
Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thine ordinances.
13 J’ai raconté de mes lèvres toutes les ordonnances de ta bouche.
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 J’ai pris plaisir au chemin de tes témoignages, autant qu’à toutes les richesses.
I have delighted in the way of thy testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.
15 Je méditerai tes préceptes et je regarderai à tes sentiers.
I will meditate on thy commandments, and consider thy ways.
16 Je fais mes délices de tes statuts, je n’oublierai pas ta parole.
I will meditate on thine ordinances: I will not forget thy words.
17 Fais du bien à ton serviteur, [et] je vivrai et je garderai ta parole.
Render a recompense to thy servant: [so] shall I live, and keep thy words.
18 Ouvre mes yeux, et je verrai les merveilles qui sont dans ta loi.
Unveil thou mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of thy law.
19 Je suis étranger dans le pays; ne me cache pas tes commandements.
I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
20 Mon âme est brisée par l’ardent désir qu’elle a en tout temps pour tes ordonnances.
My soul has longed exceedingly for thy judgments at all times.
21 Tu as tancé les orgueilleux, les maudits, qui s’égarent de tes commandements.
Thou has rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from thy commandments.
22 Roule de dessus moi l’opprobre et le mépris; car je garde tes témoignages.
Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out thy testimonies.
23 Les princes même se sont assis [et] parlent contre moi; ton serviteur médite tes statuts.
For princes sat and spoke against me: but thy servant was meditating on thine ordinances.
24 Tes témoignages sont aussi mes délices, les hommes de mon conseil.
For thy testimonies are my (meditation) and thine ordinances are my counsellors.
25 Mon âme est attachée à la poussière; fais-moi vivre selon ta parole.
My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken thou me according to thy word.
26 Je [t’]ai déclaré mes voies, et tu m’as répondu; enseigne-moi tes statuts.
I declared my ways, and thou didst hear me: teach me thine ordinances.
27 Fais-moi comprendre la voie de tes préceptes, et je méditerai sur tes merveilles.
Instruct me in the way of thine ordinances; and I will meditate on thy wondrous works.
28 Mon âme, de tristesse, se fond en larmes; affermis-moi selon ta parole.
My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen thou me with thy words.
29 Éloigne de moi la voie du mensonge, et, dans ta grâce, donne-moi ta loi.
Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by thy law.
30 J’ai choisi la voie de la fidélité, j’ai placé [devant moi] tes jugements.
I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten thy judgments.
31 Je suis attaché à tes témoignages: Éternel! ne me rends point honteux.
I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.
32 Je courrai dans la voie de tes commandements, quand tu auras mis mon cœur au large.
I ran the way of thy commandments, when thou didst enlarge my heart.
33 Éternel! enseigne-moi la voie de tes statuts, et je l’observerai jusqu’à la fin.
Teach me, O Lord, the way of thine ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.
34 Donne-moi de l’intelligence, et j’observerai ta loi, et je la garderai de tout mon cœur.
Instruct me, and I will search out thy law, and will keep it with my whole heart.
35 Fais-moi marcher dans le chemin de tes commandements, car j’y prends plaisir.
Guide me in the path of thy commandments; for I have delighted in it.
36 Incline mon cœur à tes témoignages, et non point au gain.
Incline mine heart to thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
37 Détourne mes yeux pour qu’ils ne regardent pas la vanité; fais-moi vivre dans ta voie.
Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken thou me in thy way.
38 Confirme ta parole à ton serviteur, qui est [adonné] à ta crainte.
Confirm thine oracle to thy servant, that he may fear thee.
39 Détourne de moi l’opprobre que je crains; car tes jugements sont bons.
Take away my reproach which I have feared: for thy judgments are good.
40 Voici, j’ai ardemment désiré tes préceptes; fais-moi vivre dans ta justice.
Behold, I have desired thy commandments: quicken me in thy righteousness.
41 Et que ta bonté vienne à moi, ô Éternel! – ton salut, selon ta parole!
And let thy mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.
42 Et j’aurai de quoi répondre à celui qui m’outrage; car je me suis confié en ta parole.
And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in thy words.
43 Et n’ôte pas entièrement de ma bouche la parole de la vérité; car je me suis attendu à tes jugements.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. So shall I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever.
44 Alors je garderai ta loi continuellement, à toujours et à perpétuité;
45 Et je marcherai au large, car j’ai recherché tes préceptes;
I walked also at large: for I sought out thy commandments.
46 Et je parlerai de tes témoignages devant des rois, et je ne serai pas honteux;
And I spoke of thy testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.
47 Et je trouverai mes délices en tes commandements que j’ai aimés;
And I meditated on thy commandments, which I loved exceedingly.
48 Et je lèverai mes mains vers tes commandements que j’ai aimés, et je méditerai tes statuts.
And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments which I loved; and I meditated in thine ordinances.
49 Souviens-toi de ta parole à ton serviteur, à laquelle tu as fait que je me suis attendu.
Remember thy words to thy servant, wherein thou hast made me hope.
50 C’est ici ma consolation dans mon affliction, que ta parole m’a fait vivre.
This has comforted me in mine affliction: for thine oracle has quickened me.
51 Les orgueilleux se sont moqués de moi excessivement: je n’ai pas dévié de ta loi;
The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from thy law.
52 Je me suis souvenu de tes ordonnances de jadis, ô Éternel! et je me suis consolé.
I remembered thy judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.
53 Une ardente indignation m’a saisi à cause des méchants qui abandonnent ta loi.
Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake thy law.
54 Tes statuts m’ont été des cantiques, dans la maison de mon pèlerinage.
Thine ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.
55 Je me suis souvenu de ton nom pendant la nuit, ô Éternel! et j’ai gardé ta loi.
I remembered thy name, O Lord, in the night, and kept thy law.
56 Cela m’est arrivé, car j’ai observé tes préceptes.
This I had, because I diligently sought thine ordinances.
57 Ma part, ô Éternel! je l’ai dit, c’est de garder tes paroles.
Thou art my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep thy law.
58 Je t’ai imploré de tout mon cœur: use de grâce envers moi selon ta parole.
I besought thy favour with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to thy word.
59 J’ai pensé à mes voies, et j’ai tourné mes pieds vers tes témoignages.
I thought on thy ways, and turned my feet to thy testimonies.
60 Je me suis hâté, et je n’ai point différé de garder tes commandements.
I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep thy commandments.
61 Les cordes des méchants m’ont entouré: je n’ai pas oublié ta loi.
The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not thy law.
62 Je me lève à minuit pour te célébrer à cause des ordonnances de ta justice.
At midnight I arose, to give thanks to thee for the judgments of thy righteousness.
63 Je suis le compagnon de tous ceux qui te craignent, et de ceux qui gardent tes préceptes.
I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy commandments.
64 La terre, ô Éternel! est pleine de ta bonté; enseigne-moi tes statuts.
O Lord, the earth is full of thy mercy: teach me thine ordinances.
65 Tu as fait du bien à ton serviteur, ô Éternel! selon ta parole.
Thou hast wrought kindly with thy servant, o Lord, according to thy word.
66 Enseigne-moi le bon sens et la connaissance; car j’ai ajouté foi à tes commandements.
Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
67 Avant que je sois affligé, j’errais; mais maintenant je garde ta parole.
Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept thy word.
68 Tu es bon et bienfaisant; enseigne-moi tes statuts.
Good art thou, O Lord; therefore in thy goodness teach me thine ordinances.
69 Les orgueilleux ont inventé contre moi des mensonges; j’observerai tes préceptes de tout mon cœur.
The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out thy commandments with all my heart.
70 Leur cœur est épaissi comme la graisse; moi, je trouve mes délices en ta loi.
Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on thy law.
71 Il est bon pour moi que j’aie été affligé, afin que j’apprenne tes statuts.
[It is] good for me that thou hast afflicted me; that I might learn thine ordinances.
72 La loi de ta bouche est meilleure pour moi que des milliers [de pièces] d’or et d’argent.
The law of thy mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
73 Tes mains m’ont fait et façonné; rends-moi intelligent, et j’apprendrai tes commandements.
Thy hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn thy commandments.
74 Ceux qui te craignent me verront, et se réjouiront; car je me suis attendu à ta parole.
They that fear thee will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in thy words.
75 Je sais, ô Éternel! que tes jugements sont justice, et que c’est en fidélité que tu m’as affligé.
I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are righteousness, and [that] thou in truthfulness hast afflicted me.
76 Que ta bonté, je te prie, soit ma consolation, selon ta parole à ton serviteur.
Let, I pray thee, thy mercy be to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
77 Que tes compassions viennent sur moi, et je vivrai; car ta loi fait mes délices.
Let thy compassions come to me, that I may live: for thy law is my (meditation)
78 Que les orgueilleux soient couverts de honte, car sans cause ils ont agi perversement envers moi; moi, je médite tes préceptes.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in thy commandments.
79 Que ceux qui te craignent se tournent vers moi, et ceux qui connaissent tes témoignages.
Let those that fear thee, and those that know thy testimonies, turn to me.
80 Que mon cœur soit intègre dans tes statuts, afin que je ne sois pas honteux.
Let mine heart be blameless in thine ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.
81 Mon âme languit après ton salut; je m’attends à ta parole.
My soul faints for thy salvation: I have hoped in thy words.
82 Mes yeux languissent après ta parole; et j’ai dit: Quand me consoleras-tu?
Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
83 Car je suis devenu comme une outre mise à la fumée; je n’oublie pas tes statuts.
For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
84 Combien [dureront] les jours de ton serviteur? Quand exécuteras-tu le jugement contre ceux qui me persécutent?
How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?
85 Les orgueilleux ont creusé pour moi des fosses, ce qui n’est pas selon ta loi.
Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to thy law, O Lord.
86 Tous tes commandements sont fidélité. On me persécute sans cause; aide-moi!
All thy commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help thou me.
87 Peu s’en est fallu qu’ils ne m’aient consumé sur la terre; mais moi, je n’ai pas abandonné tes préceptes.
They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not thy commandments.
88 Selon ta bonté, fais-moi vivre, et je garderai le témoignage de ta bouche.
Quicken me according to thy mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
89 Éternel! ta parole est établie à toujours dans les cieux.
Thy word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.
90 Ta fidélité est de génération en génération. Tu as établi la terre, et elle demeure ferme.
Thy truth [endures] to all generations; thou hast founded the earth, and it abides.
91 Selon tes ordonnances, [ces choses] demeurent fermes aujourd’hui; car toutes choses te servent.
The day continues by thy arrangement; for all things are thy servants.
92 Si ta loi n’avait fait mes délices, j’aurais péri dans mon affliction.
Were it not that thy law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.
93 Jamais je n’oublierai tes préceptes, car par eux tu m’as fait vivre.
I will never forget thine ordinances; for with them thou hast quickened me.
94 Je suis à toi, sauve-moi; car j’ai recherché tes préceptes.
I am thine, save me; for I have sought out thine ordinances.
95 Les méchants m’attendent pour me faire périr; [mais] je suis attentif à tes témoignages.
Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood thy testimonies.
96 J’ai vu la fin de toute perfection; ton commandement est fort étendu.
have seen an end of all perfection; [but] thy commandment is very broad.
97 Combien j’aime ta loi! tout le jour je la médite.
How I have loved thy law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
98 Tes commandements m’ont rendu plus sage que mes ennemis, car ils sont toujours avec moi.
Thou hast made me wiser than mine enemies [in] thy commandment; for it is mine for ever.
99 J’ai plus d’intelligence que tous ceux qui m’enseignent, parce que je médite tes préceptes.
I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my medication.
100 J’ai plus de sens que les anciens, parce que j’observe tes préceptes.
I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out thy commandments.
101 J’ai gardé mes pieds de toute mauvaise voie, afin que je garde ta parole.
I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy words.
102 Je ne me suis pas détourné de tes ordonnances, car c’est toi qui m’as instruit.
I have not declined from thy judgments; for thou hast instructed me.
103 Que tes paroles ont été douces à mon palais, plus que le miel à ma bouche!
How sweet are thine oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!
104 Par tes préceptes je suis devenu intelligent; c’est pourquoi je hais toute voie de mensonge.
I gain understanding by thy commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.
105 Ta parole est une lampe à mon pied, et une lumière à mon sentier.
Thy law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
106 J’ai juré, et je le tiendrai, de garder les ordonnances de ta justice.
I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of thy righteousness.
107 Je suis extrêmement affligé, ô Éternel! fais-moi vivre selon ta parole!
I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to thy word.
108 Agrée, je te prie, ô Éternel! les offrandes volontaires de ma bouche, et enseigne-moi tes ordonnances.
Accept, I pray thee, O Lord, the freewill-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.
109 Ma vie est continuellement dans ma main, mais je n’oublie pas ta loi.
My soul is continually in thine hands; and I have not forgotten thy law.
110 Les méchants m’ont tendu un piège; mais je ne me suis pas égaré de tes préceptes.
Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from thy commandments.
111 Tes témoignages me sont un héritage à toujours; car ils sont la joie de mon cœur.
I have inherited thy testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.
112 J’ai incliné mon cœur à pratiquer tes statuts, à toujours, jusqu’à la fin.
I have inclined my heart to perform thine ordinances for ever, in return [for thy mercies].
113 J’ai eu en haine ceux qui sont doubles de cœur, mais j’aime ta loi.
I have hated transgressors; but I have loved thy law.
114 Tu es mon asile et mon bouclier; je me suis attendu à ta parole.
Thou art my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in thy words.
115 Retirez-vous de moi, vous qui faites le mal, et j’observerai les commandements de mon Dieu.
Depart from me, ye evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.
116 Soutiens-moi selon ta parole, et je vivrai; et ne me laisse pas être confus en mon espérance.
Uphold me according to thy word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.
117 Soutiens-moi, et je serai sauvé, et je regarderai continuellement tes statuts.
Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in thine ordinances continually.
118 Tu as rejeté tous ceux qui s’égarent de tes statuts; car leur tromperie n’est que mensonge.
Thou hast brought to nought all that depart from thine ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.
119 Tu ôtes tous les méchants de la terre, comme des scories; c’est pourquoi j’aime tes témoignages.
I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved thy testimonies.
120 Ma chair frissonne de la frayeur que j’ai de toi, et j’ai craint à cause de tes jugements.
Penetrate my flesh with thy fear; for I am afraid of thy judgments.
121 J’ai pratiqué le jugement et la justice; ne m’abandonne pas à mes oppresseurs.
I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.
122 Sois le garant de ton serviteur pour [son] bien; que les orgueilleux ne m’oppriment pas.
Receive thy servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.
123 Mes yeux languissent après ton salut et la parole de ta justice.
Mine eyes have failed for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
124 Agis envers ton serviteur selon ta bonté, et enseigne-moi tes statuts.
Deal with thy servant according to thy mercy, and teach me thine ordinances.
125 Je suis ton serviteur; rends-moi intelligent, et je connaîtrai tes témoignages.
I am thy servant; instruct me, and I shall know thy testimonies.
126 Il est temps que l’Éternel agisse: ils ont annulé ta loi.
[It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken thy law.
127 C’est pourquoi j’aime tes commandements plus que l’or, et que l’or épuré.
Therefore have I loved thy commandments more than gold, or the topaz.
128 C’est pourquoi j’estime droits tous [tes] préceptes, à l’égard de toutes choses; je hais toute voie de mensonge.
Therefore I directed myself [according] to all thy commandments: I have hated every unjust way.
129 Tes témoignages sont merveilleux; c’est pourquoi mon âme les observe.
Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.
130 L’entrée de tes paroles illumine, donnant de l’intelligence aux simples.
The manifestation of thy words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.
131 J’ai ouvert ma bouche, et j’ai soupiré; car j’ai un ardent désir de tes commandements.
I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after thy commandments.
132 Tourne-toi vers moi et use de grâce envers moi, selon ta coutume envers ceux qui aiment ton nom.
Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love thy name.
133 Affermis mes pas dans ta parole, et qu’aucune iniquité ne domine en moi.
Order my steps according to thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Rachète-moi de l’oppression de l’homme, et je garderai tes préceptes.
Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep thy commandments.
135 Fais luire ta face sur ton serviteur, et enseigne-moi tes statuts.
Cause thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thine ordinances.
136 Des ruisseaux d’eau coulent de mes yeux, parce qu’on ne garde pas ta loi.
Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not thy law.
137 Tu es juste, ô Éternel! et droit dans tes jugements.
Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.
138 Tu as commandé la justice de tes témoignages, et la fidélité, strictement.
Thou has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] thy testimonies.
139 Mon zèle m’a dévoré; car mes oppresseurs ont oublié tes paroles.
Thy zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
140 Ta parole est bien affinée, et ton serviteur l’aime.
Thy word [has been] very fully tried; and thy servant loves it.
141 Je suis petit et méprisé; je n’ai pas oublié tes préceptes.
I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten thine ordinances.
142 Ta justice est une justice à toujours, et ta loi est vérité.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.
143 La détresse et l’angoisse m’avaient atteint; tes commandements sont mes délices.
Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] thy commandments [were] my (meditation)
144 La justice de tes témoignages est à toujours; donne-moi de l’intelligence, et je vivrai.
Thy testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.
145 J’ai crié de tout mon cœur; réponds-moi, Éternel! j’observerai tes statuts.
I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out thine ordinances.
146 Je t’invoque: sauve-moi! et je garderai tes témoignages.
I cried to thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.
147 J’ai devancé le crépuscule, et j’ai crié; je me suis attendu à ta parole.
I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in thy words.
148 Mes yeux ont devancé les veilles de la nuit pour méditer ta parole.
Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on thine oracles.
149 Écoute ma voix, selon ta bonté, ô Éternel! Fais-moi vivre selon ton ordonnance.
Hear my voice, O Lord, according to thy mercy; quicken me according to thy judgment.
150 Ceux qui poursuivent la méchanceté se sont approchés de moi; ils s’éloignent de ta loi.
They have drawn nigh who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from thy law.
151 Éternel! tu es proche; et tous tes commandements sont vérité.
Thou art near, O Lord; and all thy ways are truth.
152 Dès longtemps j’ai connu, d’après tes témoignages, que tu les as fondés pour toujours.
I have known of old concerning thy testimonies, that thou hast founded them for ever.
153 Vois mon affliction, et délivre-moi! Car je n’ai pas oublié ta loi.
Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten thy law.
154 Prends en main ma cause, et rachète-moi! Fais-moi vivre selon ta parole.
Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of thy word.
155 Le salut est loin des méchants, car ils ne recherchent pas tes statuts.
Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out thine ordinances.
156 Tes compassions sont en grand nombre, ô Éternel! – fais-moi vivre selon tes ordonnances.
Thy mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to thy judgment.
157 Mes persécuteurs et mes oppresseurs sont en grand nombre; je n’ai point dévié de tes témoignages.
Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from thy testimonies.
158 J’ai vu les perfides, et j’en ai eu horreur, parce qu’ils ne gardaient pas ta parole.
I beheld men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not thine oracles.
159 Considère que j’ai aimé tes préceptes; Éternel! fais-moi vivre selon ta bonté.
Behold, I have loved thy commandments, O Lord: quicken me in thy mercy.
160 La somme de ta parole est [la] vérité, et toute ordonnance de ta justice est pour toujours.
The beginning of thy words is truth; and all the judgments of thy righteousness [endure] for ever.
161 Des princes m’ont persécuté sans cause; mais mon cœur a eu peur de ta parole.
Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of thy words.
162 J’ai de la joie en ta parole, comme un [homme] qui trouve un grand butin.
I will exult because of thine oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
163 Je hais, et j’ai en horreur le mensonge; j’aime ta loi.
I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love thy law.
164 Sept fois le jour je te loue, à cause des ordonnances de ta justice.
Seven times in a day have I praised thee because of the judgments of thy righteousness.
165 Grande est la paix de ceux qui aiment ta loi; et pour eux il n’y a pas de chute.
Great peace have they that love thy law: and there is no stumbling-block to them.
166 J’ai espéré en ton salut, ô Éternel! et j’ai pratiqué tes commandements.
I waited for thy salvation, O Lord, and have loved thy commandments.
167 Mon âme a gardé tes témoignages, et je les aime beaucoup.
My soul has kept thy testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
168 J’ai gardé tes préceptes et tes témoignages; car toutes mes voies sont devant toi.
I have kept thy commandments and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee, O Lord.
169 Que mon cri parvienne devant toi, ô Éternel! Rends-moi intelligent, selon ta parole!
Let my supplication come near before thee, o Lord; instruct me according to thine oracle.
170 Que ma supplication vienne devant toi; délivre-moi selon ta parole!
Let my petition come in before thee, O Lord; deliver me according to thine oracle.
171 Mes lèvres publieront [ta] louange, quand tu m’auras enseigné tes statuts.
Let my lips utter a hymn, when thou shalt have taught me thine ordinances.
172 Ma langue parlera haut de ta parole; car tous tes commandements sont justice.
Let my tongue utter thine oracles; for all thy commandments are righteous.
173 Ta main me sera pour secours, car j’ai choisi tes préceptes.
Let thine hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen thy commandments.
174 J’ai ardemment désiré ton salut, ô Éternel! et ta loi est mes délices.
I have longed after thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my (meditation)
175 Que mon âme vive, et elle te louera; et fais que tes ordonnances me soient en aide!
My soul shall live, and shall praise thee; and thy judgments shall help me.
176 J’ai erré comme une brebis qui périt: cherche ton serviteur, car je n’ai pas oublié tes commandements.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
