Psaumes 61

1 Au maître de chant. Sur les instruments à cordes. De David. O Dieu, entends mes cris, sois attentif à ma prière.

[For the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David.] Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer.

2 De l'extrémité de la terre je crie vers toi, dans l'angoisse de mon cœur; conduis-moi sur le rocher que je ne puis atteindre.

From the most remote place of the earth, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 Car tu es pour moi un refuge, une tour puissante contre l'ennemi.

For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.

4 Je voudrais demeurer à jamais dans ta tente, me réfugier à l'abri de tes ailes! — Séla.

I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. (Selah)

5 Car toi, ô Dieu, tu exauces mes vœux, tu m'as donné l'héritage de ceux qui révèrent ton nom.

For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

6 Ajoute des jours aux jours du roi, que ses années se prolongent d'âge en âge!

You will prolong the king's life; his years shall be for generations.

7 Qu'il demeure sur le trône éternellement devant Dieu! Ordonne à ta bonté et à ta vérité de le garder!

He shall be enthroned in God's presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

8 Alors je célébrerai ton nom à jamais, et j'accomplirai mes vœux chaque jour.

So I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfill my vows day after day.
