1 Voici les campements des enfants d'Israël, quand ils sortirent du pays d'Egypte, selon leurs troupes, sous la conduite de Moïse et d'Aaron.
These are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
2 Moïse mit par écrit les lieux d'où ils partirent, selon leurs campements, d'après l'ordre de Yahweh, et voici leurs campements selon leurs départs:
Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
3 Ils partirent de Ramsès le premier mois, le quinzième jour du premier mois. Le lendemain de la Pâque, les enfants d'Israël sortirent la main levée, à la vue de tous les Egyptiens.
They traveled from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the next day after the Passover the children of Israel went out triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians,
4 Et les Egyptiens enterraient ceux que Yahweh avait frappés parmi eux, tous leurs premiers-nés; Yahweh exerça aussi des jugements sur leurs dieux.
while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom Jehovah had struck among them: on their gods also Jehovah executed judgments.
5 Etant partis de Ramsès, les enfants d'Israël campèrent à Soccoth.
The children of Israel traveled from Rameses, and camped in Succoth.
6 Ils partirent de Soccoth et campèrent à Etham, qui est aux confins du désert.
They traveled from Succoth, and camped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
7 Ils partirent d'Etham et, ayant tourné vers Phihahiroth, qui est vis-à-vis de Béel-séphon, ils campèrent devant Magdalum.
They traveled from Etham, and turned back to Pihahiroth, which is before Baal Zephon: and they camped before Migdol.
8 Ils partirent de devant Phihahiroth et passèrent au milieu de la mer, vers le désert. Après trois journées de marche dans le désert d'Etham, ils campèrent à Mara.
They traveled from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and camped in Marah.

Aaron the priest went up into Mount Hor at the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.
39 Aaron était âgé de cent vingt-trois ans lorsqu'il mourut sur la montagne de Hor.
Aaron was one hundred twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor.
40 Ce fut alors que le Chanaanéen, roi d'Arad, qui habitait le Négeb dans le pays de Chanaan, apprit l'arrivée des enfants d'Israël.
The Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

50 Yahweh parla à Moïse dans les plaines de Moab, près du Jourdain, vis-à-vis de Jéricho, en disant:
Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
51 « Parle aux enfants d'Israël: Lorsque vous aurez passé le Jourdain et que vous serez entrés dans le pays de Chanaan,
Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, "When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
52 vous expulserez devant vous tous les habitants du pays, vous détruirez toutes leurs pierres sculptées, et vous détruirez toutes leurs images d'airain fondu, et vous dévasterez tous leurs hauts lieux.
then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their stone idols, destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places.
53 Vous prendrez possession du pays et vous l'habiterez; car je vous ai donné le pays pour le posséder.
You shall take possession of the land, and dwell in it; for I have given the land to you to possess it.
54 Vous partagerez le pays par le sort, selon vos familles; vous donnerez un héritage plus grand à ceux qui sont en plus grand nombre, et tu donneras un héritage plus petit à ceux qui sont en plus petit nombre. Ce que le sort assignera à chacun lui appartiendra; vous le recevrez en propriété, selon vos tribus patriarcales.
You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance: wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.
55 Mais si vous n'expulsez pas devant vous les habitants du pays, ceux d'entre eux que vous laisserez seront comme des épines dans vos yeux et comme des aiguillons dans vos flancs, et ils vous traiteront en ennemis dans le pays que vous allez habiter.
"But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those you let remain of them will be as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the land in which you dwell.
56 Et je vous traiterai vous-même comme j'avais résolu de les traiter. »
It shall happen that as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you."
