Exode 30
1 Tu feras un autel pour faire fumer l’encens, tu le feras de bois d’acacia;
And thou shalt make an altar, for burning incense, of acacia wood, shalt thou make it:
2 sa longueur sera d’une coudée, et sa largeur d’une coudée; il sera carré, et sa hauteur sera de deux coudées; ses cornes feront corps avec lui.
a cubit, the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof four square, shall it be, —and two cubits, the height thereof, of the same, [shall be] the horns thereof,
3 Tu le revêtiras d’or pur, le dessus, les côtés tout autour et les cornes, et tu y feras une guirlande d’or tout autour.
And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof, -and thou shalt make to it a border of gold round about.
4 Tu feras pour lui deux anneaux d’or, au-dessous de la guirlande, sur ses deux arêtes: tu les feras aux deux côtés, pour recevoir les barres qui serviront à le porter.
And, two rings of gold, shalt thou make to it, under the border thereof upon the two corners thereof, shalt thou make them on the two sides thereof, —so shall they become receptacles for the staves, to lift it therewith.
5 Tu feras les barres de bois d’acacia, et tu les revêtiras d’or.
And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, —and overlay them with gold.
6 Tu placeras l’autel en face du voile qui est devant l’arche du témoignage, en face du propitiatoire qui est sur le témoignage, là où je me rencontrerai avec toi.
And thou shalt place it before the veil, which is by the ark of the testimony, —before the propitiatory which is upon the testimony, where I will meet thee.
7 Aaron y fera fumer l’encens; il le fera fumer chaque matin, lorsqu’il préparera les lampes,
And Aaron shall burn thereon fragrant incense, —morning by morning, when he trimmeth the lamps, shall he burn it;
8 et il le fera fumer entre les deux soirs, lorsqu’Aaron mettra les lampes sur le chandelier. Encens perpétuel devant Yahweh, parmi vos descendants.
and, when Aaron lighteth the lamps, between the evenings, shall he burn it, —a continual incense before Yahweh, to your generations.
9 Vous n’offrirez sur l’autel ni parfum profane, ni holocauste, ni offrande, et vous n’y répandrez pas de libation.
Ye shall not cause to ascend thereupon strange incense, nor an ascending-sacrifice, nor a meal-offering, —and a drink offering, shall ye not pour out thereupon.
10 Aaron fera l’expiation sur les cornes de l’autel une fois chaque année; avec le sang de la victime expiatoire, il y fera l’expiation une fois l’an parmi vos descendants. Cet autel sera très saint à Yahweh. »
But Aaron shall put a propitiatory-covering upon the horns thereof, once in the year: of the blood of the sin-bearer for propitiatory-coverings, once in the year, shall he put a propitiatory-covering thereupon to your generations, most holy, it is to Yahweh.
11 Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
12 « Quand tu compteras les enfants d’Israël pour en faire le recensement, ils donneront chacun à Yahweh une rançon pour leur âme, lorsqu’on les recensera, afin qu’ils ne soient frappés d’aucun fléau lors de leur recensement.
When thou takest the sum of the sons of Israel, by their numberings, then shall they give every man a propitiatory-covering for his soul to Yahweh, when they are numbered, —that there may be among them no plague when they are numbered.
13 Voici ce que donneront tous ceux qui seront compris dans le dénombrement: un demi-sicle, selon le sicle du sanctuaire, qui est de vingt guéras; un demi-sicle sera le don levé pour Yahweh.
This, shall they give—every one that passeth over to them that have been numbered—a half-shekel by the shekel of the sanctuary, —the shekel is twenty gerahs—the half-shekel, shall be a heave-offering to Yahweh.
14 Tout homme compris dans le dénombrement, depuis l’âge de vingt ans et au-dessus, acquittera la contribution de Yahweh.
All who pass over to the numbered, from twenty years old and upwards, shall give the heave-offering of Yahweh.
15 Le riche ne paiera pas plus, et le pauvre ne paiera pas moins d’un demi-sicle, pour acquitter la contribution de Yahweh, comme rançon de vos âmes.
The rich, shall not give more, and the poor, shall not give less, than the half-shekel, —when they give the heave-offering of Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over your souls.
16 Tu recevras des enfants d’Israël l’argent de la rançon, et tu l’appliqueras au service de la tente de réunion; il sera pour les enfants d’Israël un titre devant Yahweh pour la rançon de leurs âmes. »
So then thou shalt take the silver for the propitiatory-coverings from the sons of Israel, and shalt expend it upon the service of the tent of meeting, —thus shall it be for the sons of Israel as a memorial before Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over your souls.
17 Yahweh parla à Moïse en disant:
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
18 « Tu feras une cuve d’airain, avec sa base d’airain, pour les ablutions; tu la placeras entre la tente de réunion et l’autel, et tu y mettras de l’eau,
And thou shalt make a laver of bronze, and its stand of bronze for bathing, —and thou shalt place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and shalt put therein water.
19 et Aaron et ses fils en prendront pour se laver les mains et les pieds.
So shall Aaron and his sons bathe thereat, —their hands, and their feet.
20 Ils se laveront avec cette eau, afin qu’ils ne meurent point, et lorsqu’ils entreront dans la tente de réunion, et lorsqu’ils s’approcheront de l’autel pour faire le service, pour faire fumer un sacrifice à Yahweh.
When they enter the tent of meeting, they shall bathe with water so shall they not die, —or when they approach unto the altar to minister, to burn as incense an altar-flame to Yahweh:
21 Ils se laveront les pieds et les mains, et ils ne mourront pas. Ce sera une loi perpétuelle pour eux, pour Aaron et sa postérité d’âge en âge. »
so then they shall bathe their hands and their feet and shall not die, —and it shall be to them an age-abiding statute, to him and to his seed to their generations.
22 Yahweh parla à Moïse, en disant:
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
23 « Prends, parmi les meilleurs aromates, cinq cents sicles de myrrhe vierge, la moitié, soit deux cent cinquante sicles, de cinname aromatique, deux cent cinquante sicles de canne odorante,
Thou, therefore, take to thee—principal spices, —self-flowing myrrh, five hundred, and fragrant cinnamon, half as much, two hundred and fifty, and, fragrant cane, two hundred and fifty;
24 cinq cents sicles de casse, selon le sicle du sanctuaire, et un hin d’huile d’olive.
and, cassia, five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary, —and, oil olive, a hin.
25 Tu en feras une huile pour l’onction sainte, un parfum composé selon l’art du parfumeur: ce sera l’huile pour l’onction sainte.
And thou shalt make it an oil for holy anointing, a compounded perfume the work of a perfumer, —an oil for holy anointing, shall it be.
26 Tu en oindras la tente de réunion et l’arche du témoignage,
And thou shalt anoint therewith the tent of meeting, —and the ark of the testimony;
27 la table et tous ses ustensiles, le chandelier et ses ustensiles, l’autel des parfums,
and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand, and its utensils, —and the incense altar,
28 l’autel des holocaustes et tous ses ustensiles, et la cuve avec sa base.
and the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and all its utensils, -and the laver, and its stand.
29 Tu les consacreras, et ils seront très saints; tout ce qui les touchera sera saint.
So shalt thou hallow them, and they shall be most holy, —whosoever toucheth them, shall be holy.
30 Tu oindras Aaron et ses fils, et tu les consacreras, pour qu’ils me servent comme prêtres.
Aaron also, and his sons, shalt thou anoint, —so shalt thou hallow them to minister as priests unto me.
31 Tu parleras aux enfants d’Israël, en disant: Ce sera l’huile d’onction sainte, pour moi d’âge en âge.
And unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak, saying, An oil for holy anointing, shall this be to me, to your generations.
32 On n’en répandra pas sur le corps d’un homme, et vous n’en ferez pas une semblable, de même composition; c’est une chose sacrée, et vous la regarderez comme chose sacrée.
Upon the flesh of a common man, shall it not be poured, and according to the proportions thereof, shall ye not make any like it, —holy, it is, holy, shall it be to you.
33 Quiconque en composera de semblable, ou en mettra sur un étranger, sera retranché de son peuple. »
Whosoever compoundeth any like it, and whosoever bestoweth thereof upon a stranger, shall be cut off from among his people.
34 Yahweh dit à Moïse: « Prends des aromates: résine, ongle odorant, galbanum; des aromates et de l’encens pur; ils seront en parties égales.
Then said Yahweh unto Moses—Take to thee aromatic spices stacte and onycha, and galbanum, —aromatic spices, and pure frankincense, —weight for weight, shall it be.
35 Tu en feras un parfum pour l’encensement, composé selon l’art du parfumeur; il sera salé, pur et saint.
And thou shalt make of it an incense, a perfume the work of a perfumer, —salted, pure, holy.
36 Tu le réduiras en poudre, et tu en mettras devant le témoignage, dans la tente de réunion, où je me rencontrerai avec toi. Ce sera pour vous une chose très sainte.
And thou shalt beat some of it to powder, and place thereof before the testimony, in the tent of meeting, where I am to meet with thee, —most holy, shall it be to you.
37 Le parfum que tu feras, vous n’en ferez pas pour vous de même composition; tu le regarderas comme une chose sacrée pour Yahweh.
And the incense which thou shalt make, according to the proportions thereof, ye shall not make for yourselves, —holy, shall it be to thee, to Yahweh.
38 Quiconque en fera de semblable, pour en respirer l’odeur, sera retranché de son peuple, »
Whosoever shall make like it, to smell of it shall be cut off from among his people.
