Deutéronome 34

1 Moïse monta, des plaines de Moab, sur le mont Nébo, au sommet du Phasga, en face de Jéricho. Et Yahweh lui montra tout le pays: Galaad jusqu’à Dan,

Then Moses went from the plaine of Moab vp into mount Nebo vnto the top of Pisgah that is ouer against Iericho: and the Lord shewed him all the land of Gilead, vnto Dan,

2 tout Nephthali et le pays d’Ephraïm et de Manassé, tout le pays de Juda jusqu’à la mer occidentale,

And all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Iudah, vnto the vtmost sea:

3 le Négeb, le district du Jourdain, la vallée de Jéricho qui est la ville des palmiers, jusqu’à Ségor.

And the South, and the plaine of the valley of Iericho, the citie of palmetrees, vnto Zoar.

4 Et Yahweh lui dit: « C’est là le pays au sujet duquel j’ai fait serment à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, en disant: Je le donnerai à ta postérité. Je te l’ai fait voir de tes yeux; mais tu n’y entreras pas. »

And the Lord said vnto him, This is the lande which I sware vnto Abraham, to Izhak and to Iaacob saying, I will giue it vnto thy seede: I haue caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not goe ouer thither.

5 Moïse, le serviteur de Yahweh, mourut là, dans le pays de Moab, selon l’ordre de Yahweh.

So Moses the seruant of the Lord dyed there in the land of Moab, according to the worde of the Lord.

6 Et il l’enterra dans la vallée, au pays de Moab, vis-à-vis de Beth-Phogor. Aucun homme n’a connu son sépulcre jusqu’à ce jour.

And hee buried him in a valley in the land of Moab ouer against Beth-peor, but no man knoweth of his sepulchre vnto this day.

7 Moïse était âgé de cent vingt ans, lorsqu’il mourut; sa vue n’était pas affaiblie, et sa vigueur n’était pas passée.

Moses was nowe an hundreth and twentie yeere olde when hee died, his eye was not dimme, nor his naturall force abated.

8 Les enfants d’Israël pleurèrent Moïse, dans les plaines de Moab, pendant trente jours, et les jours des pleurs pour le deuil de Moïse furent accomplis.

And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plaine of Moab thirtie dayes: so the dayes of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

9 Josué, fils de Nun, était rempli de l’esprit de sagesse, car Moïse avait posé ses mains sur lui. Les enfants d’Israël lui obéirent et firent selon que Yahweh l’avait ordonné à Moïse.

And Ioshua the sonne of Nun was full of ye spirit of wisedome: for Moses had put his hands vpon him. And the children of Israel were obedient vnto him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

10 Il ne s’est plus levé en Israël de prophète semblable à Moïse, que Yahweh connaissait face à face,

But there arose not a Prophet since in Israel like vnto Moses (whome the Lord knew face to face)

11 ni quant à tous les signes et miracles que Dieu l’envoya faire, dans le pays d’Égypte, sur Pharaon, sur tous ses serviteurs et sur tout son pays,

In all ye miracles and wonders which ye Lord sent him to do in ye land of Egypt before Pharaoh and before all his seruantes, and before al his land,

12 ni quant à toute sa main puissante et à toutes les choses terribles que Moïse accomplit sous les yeux de tout Israël.

And in all that mightie hand and all that great feare, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel.
