Apocalypse 12
1 Un grand signe apparut dans le ciel: une femme enveloppée du soleil, la lune sous ses pieds, et sur sa tête une couronne de douze étoiles.
And a great sign was seen in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a diadem of twelve stars.
2 Elle était enceinte. Elle poussa des cris de douleur en travaillant pour accoucher.
She was with child; and she cried out, travailing in birth, in anguish to be delivered.
3 Un autre signe apparut dans le ciel. Voici, c'était un grand dragon rouge, ayant sept têtes et dix cornes, et sur ses têtes sept couronnes.
And another sign was seen in heaven; and lo, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and upon his head seven diadems.
4 Sa queue attirait le tiers des étoiles du ciel, et les jetait sur la terre. Le dragon se tint devant la femme qui allait accoucher, afin que, lorsqu'elle accoucherait, il dévorât son enfant.
His tail drew a third part of the stars of the sky, and dashed them down to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman about to be delivered, so that he might devour her child when she was delivered.
5 Elle donna naissance à un fils, un enfant mâle, qui doit dominer toutes les nations avec une verge de fer. Son enfant a été enlevé vers Dieu et vers son trône.
And she gave birth to a son, a man child, who is to shepherd all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up unto God and unto his throne.
6 La femme s'est enfuie dans le désert, où elle a un lieu préparé par Dieu, afin qu'on l'y nourrisse pendant mille deux cent soixante jours.
And the woman fled into the desert, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 Il y eut une guerre dans le ciel. Michel et ses anges firent la guerre au dragon. Le dragon et ses anges firent la guerre.
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels went forth to war with the dragon; and the dragon also fought, and his angels;
8 Ils ne furent pas vainqueurs. On ne leur trouva plus de place dans le ciel.
but they failed, nor was their place found any more in heaven.
9 Le grand dragon fut précipité, le serpent ancien, celui qu'on appelle le diable et Satan, le séducteur du monde entier. Il fut précipité sur la terre, et ses anges furent précipités avec lui.
Now the great dragon was thrown down - that old Serpent, he who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10 J'entendis dans le ciel une voix forte qui disait: Maintenant le salut, la puissance, le règne de notre Dieu et l'autorité de son Christ sont arrivés; car il a été précipité, l'accusateur de nos frères, qui les accusait devant notre Dieu jour et nuit.
And I heard a great voice in heaven, which said. "Now it is come! the salvation and the power, The kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ! For the accuser of our brethren is thrown down, Who accused them before our God, day and night.
11 Ils l'ont vaincu à cause du sang de l'Agneau, et à cause de la parole de leur témoignage. Ils n'ont pas aimé leur vie, même jusqu'à la mort.
And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb, And by the word of their testimony; And they loved not their life, even unto death.
12 C'est pourquoi réjouissez-vous, cieux, et vous qui les habitez. Malheur à la terre et à la mer, parce que le diable est descendu vers vous, animé d'une grande colère, sachant qu'il n'a qu'un temps très court. »
Therefore rejoice, O heavens, And you who dwell therein! Woe to the earth and the sea! For the devil has gone down to you in great fury, Because he knows that he has but little time."
13 Le dragon, voyant qu'il était précipité sur la terre, persécuta la femme qui avait donné naissance à l'enfant mâle.
When the dragon saw that he was hurled down to the earth, he pursued the woman who gave birth to the man child.
14 Les deux ailes du grand aigle furent données à la femme pour qu'elle s'envole dans le désert vers son lieu de résidence, afin qu'elle soit nourrie pendant un temps, des temps, et la moitié d'un temps, loin de la face du serpent.
But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she might fly into the desert to her place where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 Le serpent fit jaillir de sa bouche de l'eau après la femme, comme un fleuve, afin qu'elle soit emportée par le courant.
And the serpent poured water from his mouth after the woman, water like a river, so that he might cause her to be carried off by the stream.
16 La terre aida la femme, et la terre ouvrit sa bouche et engloutit le fleuve que le dragon avait fait jaillir de sa bouche.
But the earth came to the rescue of the woman and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river that the dragon had poured forth from his mouth.
17 Le dragon s'irrita contre la femme et s'en alla faire la guerre au reste de sa descendance, qui garde les commandements de Dieu et retient le témoignage de Jésus.
And the dragon was enraged at the woman, and went away to make war upon the rest of her children who keep the commandments of God, and hold fast the testimony of Jesus. And he stood upon the sand of the sea.
