Marc 7
1 Alors les pharisiens et quelques-uns des scribes, venus de Jérusalem, s'assemblèrent auprès de lui.
Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
2 Or, voyant quelques-uns de ses disciples manger du pain avec des mains souillées, c'est-à-dire non lavées, ils trouvèrent à redire.
And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
3 (En effet, les pharisiens et tous les Juifs ne mangent pas sans avoir lavé leurs mains et leurs avant-bras, selon la tradition des anciens.
For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
4 Ils ne mangent pas quand ils reviennent de la place du marché, s'ils ne se sont pas lavés, et il y a bien d'autres choses qu'ils ont reçues pour s'y tenir: le lavage des tasses, des cruches, des vases d'airain et des canapés).
And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
5 Les pharisiens et les scribes lui demandèrent: « Pourquoi tes disciples ne marchent-ils pas selon la tradition des anciens, et ne mangent-ils pas leur pain avec des mains non lavées? »
Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
6 Il leur répondit: « Ésaïe a bien prophétisé sur vous, hypocrites, comme il est écrit, Ce peuple m'honore de ses lèvres, mais leur cœur est loin de moi.
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Ils m'adorent en vain, enseignant comme doctrines les commandements des hommes ».
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctines the commandments of men.
8 « Car vous mettez de côté le commandement de Dieu, et vous vous attachez à la tradition des hommes: vous lavez les cruches et les coupes, et vous faites beaucoup d'autres choses semblables. »
For laying aside the commandment of YHWH, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 Il leur dit: « Vous avez bien fait de rejeter le commandement de Dieu, pour garder votre tradition.
And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of YHWH, that ye may keep your own tradition.
10 Car Moïse a dit: « Honore ton père et ta mère", et: « Que celui qui parle mal de son père ou de sa mère soit puni de mort ».
For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 Mais vous, vous dites: « Si un homme dit à son père ou à sa mère: « Tout ce que vous avez pu recevoir de moi est Corban »", c'est-à-dire remis à Dieu,
But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
12 « alors vous ne lui permettez plus de faire quoi que ce soit pour son père ou sa mère,
And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 annulant ainsi la parole de Dieu par la tradition que vous avez transmise ». Vous faites beaucoup de choses de ce genre. »
Making the word of YHWH of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
14 Il appela à lui toute la foule et leur dit: « Écoutez-moi tous, et comprenez.
And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
15 Il n'y a rien qui vienne de l'extérieur de l'homme et qui entre en lui qui puisse le souiller; mais ce qui sort de l'homme, c'est ce qui le souille.
There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16 Si quelqu'un a des oreilles pour entendre, qu'il entende! »
If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
17 Lorsqu'il fut entré dans une maison, loin de la foule, ses disciples l'interrogèrent sur la parabole.
And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 Il leur dit: Vous aussi, êtes-vous sans intelligence? Ne comprenez-vous pas que ce qui entre du dehors dans l'homme ne peut pas le souiller,
And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 parce que cela ne va pas dans son cœur, mais dans son estomac, puis dans les latrines, ce qui rend tous les aliments purs? »
Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 Il répondit: « Ce qui sort de l'homme, voilà ce qui souille l'homme.
And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 Car c'est du dedans, du cœur de l'homme, que sortent les mauvaises pensées, les adultères, les péchés sexuels, les meurtres, les vols,
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 les convoitises, la méchanceté, la tromperie, les désirs lubriques, le mauvais œil, le blasphème, l'orgueil et la folie.
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 Toutes ces mauvaises choses viennent du dedans et souillent l'homme. »
All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
24 De là, il se leva et s'en alla dans le territoire de Tyr et de Sidon. Il entra dans une maison et ne voulut pas qu'on le sache, mais il ne put échapper à la vigilance.
And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
25 En effet, une femme dont la petite fille était atteinte d'un esprit impur, ayant entendu parler de lui, vint se jeter à ses pieds.
For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
26 Cette femme était grecque, de race syrophénicienne. Elle le pria de chasser le démon de sa fille.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
27 Mais Jésus lui dit: « Que les enfants soient rassasiés les premiers, car il ne convient pas de prendre le pain des enfants et de le jeter aux chiens. »
But Yahushua said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
28 Mais elle lui répondit: « Oui, Seigneur. Pourtant, même les chiens sous la table mangent les miettes des enfants. »
And she answered and said unto him, Yes, master: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
29 Il lui dit: « A cause de cette parole, va-t'en. Le démon est sorti de ta fille. »
And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
30 Elle s'en alla dans sa maison, et trouva l'enfant couché sur le lit, le démon étant sorti.
And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
31 Il quitta de nouveau le territoire de Tyr et de Sidon, et se rendit à la mer de Galilée en passant par le milieu de la région de la Décapole.
And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
32 On lui amena un sourd qui avait des difficultés d'élocution. Ils le supplièrent de poser sa main sur lui.
And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
33 Il le prit à l'écart de la foule, en privé, et lui mit les doigts dans les oreilles; puis il cracha et toucha sa langue.
And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
34 Levant les yeux au ciel, il soupira et lui dit: « Ephphatha! », c'est-à-dire: « Ouvre-toi! »
And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
35 Aussitôt ses oreilles s'ouvrirent, l'empêchement de sa langue se relâcha, et il parla clairement.
And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
36 Il leur ordonna de ne le dire à personne, mais plus il leur ordonnait, plus ils le proclamaient largement.
And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
37 Ils étaient extrêmement étonnés et disaient: « Il a tout bien fait. Il fait entendre les sourds et parler les muets! »
And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
