Hébreux 6
1 C'est pourquoi, laissant l'enseignement des premiers principes de Christ, poussons à la perfection, en posant de nouveau le fondement de la repentance des œuvres mortes, de la foi en Dieu,
For this reason, having left the word of the beginning of the Christ, we may advance to perfection, not laying again a foundation of conversion from dead works, and of faith on God,
2 de l'enseignement des baptêmes, de l'imposition des mains, de la résurrection des morts et du jugement éternel. (aiōnios g166)
of the teaching of immersions, also of laying on of hands, also of [the] resurrection of the dead, and of continuous judgment, (aiōnios g166)
3 C'est ce que nous ferons, si Dieu le permet.
and this we will do, if God may permit,
4 En effet, pour ce qui est de ceux qui ont été autrefois éclairés, qui ont goûté au don céleste, qui ont été rendus participants du Saint-Esprit,
for [it is] impossible for those once enlightened, having also tasted of the heavenly gift, and having become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
and tasted the good saying of God, also the powers of the coming age, (aiōn g165)
6 et qui sont tombés ensuite, il est impossible de les ramener à la repentance, puisqu'ils crucifient de nouveau le Fils de Dieu pour eux-mêmes et l'exposent à l'ignominie.
and having fallen away, to renew [them] again to conversion, having crucified to themselves the Son of God again, and exposed to public shame.
7 Car la terre qui a bu la pluie qui tombe souvent sur elle et qui produit une récolte convenable pour ceux pour qui elle est aussi cultivée, reçoit la bénédiction de Dieu;
For the earth, having drunk in the rain coming on it many times, and is bringing forth herbs fit for those because of whom it is also dressed, partakes of blessing from God,
8 mais si elle porte des épines et des chardons, elle est rejetée et près d'être maudite, sa fin étant d'être brûlée.
but that which is bearing thorns and briers [is] disapproved of, and near to cursing, whose end [is] for burning;
9 Mais, bien-aimés, nous sommes persuadés de choses meilleures pour vous, et de choses qui accompagnent le salut, bien que nous parlions ainsi.
but we are persuaded, concerning you, beloved, the things that are better, and accompanying salvation, though even thus we speak,
10 Car Dieu n'est pas injuste, au point d'oublier votre œuvre et le travail d'amour que vous avez montré envers son nom, en ce que vous avez servi les saints, et que vous les servez encore.
for God is not unrighteous to forget your work, and the labor of love that you showed to His Name, having ministered to the holy ones and ministering;
11 Nous désirons que chacun de vous fasse preuve du même empressement jusqu'à la fin de la plénitude de l'espérance,
and we desire each one of you to show the same diligence, to the full assurance of the hope to the end,
12 afin que vous ne soyez pas paresseux, mais imitateurs de ceux qui, par la foi et la persévérance, ont hérité des promesses.
that you may not become slothful, but followers of those who through faith and patient endurance are inheriting the promises.
13 En effet, lorsque Dieu fit une promesse à Abraham, comme il ne pouvait jurer par personne de plus grand, il jura par lui-même,
For God, having made promise to Abraham, seeing He was not able to swear by [any] greater, swore by Himself,
14 en disant: « Je te bénirai, et je te multiplierai. »
saying, “Blessing I will indeed bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you”;
15 C'est ainsi qu'ayant supporté patiemment, il obtint la promesse.
and so, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise;
16 Les hommes, en effet, jurent par un plus grand, et dans toute contestation de leur part, le serment est définitif pour confirmation.
for men swear by the greater, and the oath [is] for confirmation of the end of all their controversy,
17 C'est ainsi que Dieu, voulant montrer plus abondamment aux héritiers de la promesse l'immuabilité de son conseil, s'est interposé par un serment,
in which God, more abundantly willing to show to the heirs of the promise the immutability of His counsel, interposed by an oath,
18 afin que, par deux choses immuables, dans lesquelles il est impossible que Dieu mente, nous soyons fortement encouragés, nous qui avons fui pour trouver un refuge, à saisir l'espérance qui nous est proposée.
that through two immutable things, in which [it is] impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong comfort, having fled for refuge, to lay hold on the hope being set before [us],
19 Cette espérance, nous l'avons comme une ancre de l'âme, une espérance à la fois sûre et inébranlable, et qui pénètre dans ce qui est au delà du voile,
which we have, as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and entering into that within the veil,
