1 Chroniques 9
1 Tout Israël fut ainsi répertorié par généalogies, et voici qu'elles sont écrites dans le livre des rois d'Israël. Juda fut emmené captif à Babylone pour sa désobéissance.
So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.
2 Or les premiers habitants qui vécurent dans leurs biens, dans leurs villes, furent Israël, les prêtres, les lévites et les serviteurs du temple.
Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.
3 A Jérusalem, vivaient des fils de Juda, des fils de Benjamin, des fils d'Ephraïm et de Manassé:
And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;
4 Uthaï, fils d'Ammihud, fils d'Omri, fils d'Imri, fils de Bani, des fils de Pérez, fils de Juda.
Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pharez the son of Judah.
5 Des Silonites: Asaja, premier-né, et ses fils.
And of the Shilonites; Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.
6 Des fils de Zérach: Jeuel et ses frères, six cent quatre-vingt-dix.
And of the sons of Zerah; Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
7 Pour les fils de Benjamin: Sallu, fils de Meshullam, fils d'Hodavia, fils d'Hassenua;
And of the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hasenuah,
8 Ibnéja, fils de Jerocham; Éla, fils d'Uzzi, fils de Michri; Meshullam, fils de Shephatia, fils de Reuel, fils d'Ibnija;
And Ibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephathiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;
9 et leurs frères, selon leurs générations, neuf cent cinquante-six. Tous ces hommes étaient chefs de famille, selon les maisons de leurs pères.
And their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were chief of the fathers in the house of their fathers.
10 Parmi les sacrificateurs: Jedaja, Jehoïarib, Jachin,
And of the priests; Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,
11 et Azaria, fils de Hilkija, fils de Meshullam, fils de Tsadok, fils de Meraioth, fils d'Ahitub, chef de la maison de Dieu;
And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;
12 et Adaja, fils de Jerocham, fils de Pashhur, fils de Malkija; et Maasaï, fils d'Adiel, fils de Jahzerah, fils de Meshullam, fils de Meshillemith, fils d'Immer;
And Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchijah, and Maasiai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;
13 et leurs frères, chefs des maisons de leurs pères, au nombre de mille sept cent soixante; ils étaient des hommes très capables pour l'œuvre du service de la maison de Dieu.
And their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 Parmi les Lévites: Schemaeja, fils de Hasshub, fils d'Azrikam, fils de Haschabia, d'entre les fils de Merari;
And of the Levites; Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;
15 Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, Mattania, fils de Mica, fils de Zichri, fils d'Asaph;
And Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;
16 Abdias, fils de Shemaeja, fils de Galal, fils de Jeduthun, et Bérékia, fils d'Asa, fils d'Elkana, qui habitaient dans les villages des Nethophathiens.
And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Les gardiens de la porte: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman et leurs frères (Shallum était le chef),
And the porters were, Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chief;
18 qui servaient auparavant à la porte du roi, à l'est. Ils étaient les gardiens du camp des fils de Lévi.
Who until now waited in the king's gate eastward: they were porters in the companies of the children of Levi.
19 Shallum était le fils de Koré, fils d'Ebiasaph, fils de Koré, et ses frères, de la maison de son père, les Koréites, étaient chargés de l'exécution du service, gardiens des seuils du tabernacle. Leurs pères avaient été responsables du camp de l'Éternel et avaient gardé l'entrée.
And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.
20 Phinées, fils d'Éléazar, était autrefois leur chef, et l'Éternel était avec lui.
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.
21 Zacharie, fils de Meshelemia, était gardien de l'entrée de la Tente de la Rencontre.
And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was gate keeper of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22 Tous ceux qui avaient été choisis pour être gardiens des seuils étaient au nombre de deux cent douze. Ils étaient classés par généalogie dans leurs villages, et David et le voyant Samuel les avaient ordonnés à leur poste de confiance.
All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.
23 Eux et leurs enfants avaient la surveillance des portes de la maison de l'Éternel, de la maison du tabernacle, en tant que gardiens.
So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.
24 Les gardiens des portes étaient répartis sur les quatre côtés, à l'est, à l'ouest, au nord et au sud.
In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.
25 Leurs frères, dans leurs villages, devaient venir tous les sept jours, de temps en temps, pour être avec eux.
And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.
26 Car les quatre principaux portiers, qui étaient des lévites, occupaient une fonction de confiance et étaient responsables des chambres et des trésors de la maison de Dieu.
For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
27 Ils restaient autour de la maison de Dieu, car c'était leur devoir, et c'était leur devoir de l'ouvrir matin par matin.
And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.
28 Certains d'entre eux étaient chargés des ustensiles de service, car on les apportait en les comptant et on les retirait en les comptant.
And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.
29 Certains d'entre eux étaient aussi chargés des meubles et de tous les ustensiles du sanctuaire, de la farine fine, du vin, de l'huile, de l'encens et des aromates.
Some of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30 Quelques-uns des fils des prêtres préparaient le mélange des épices.
And some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.
31 Mattithia, l'un des Lévites, premier-né de Shallum, le Coréen, avait la charge des produits cuits dans les poêles.
And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.
32 Quelques-uns de leurs frères, parmi les fils des Kehathites, avaient la charge du pain de proposition, pour le préparer chaque sabbat.
And other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the showbread, to prepare it every sabbath.
33 Ce sont les chantres, chefs de famille des Lévites, qui habitaient dans les chambres et étaient libres de tout autre service, car ils étaient employés à leur travail jour et nuit.
And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.
34 Ce sont des chefs de famille de Lévites, de génération en génération, des chefs. Ils habitaient à Jérusalem.
These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.
35 Jeiel, père de Gabaon, dont la femme s'appelait Maaca, habitait à Gabaon.
And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife's name was Maachah:
36 Son fils premier-né était Abdon, puis Tsur, Kis, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
And his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab.
37 Gedor, Ahio, Zacharie et Mikloth.
And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38 Mikloth devint le père de Schimeam. Ils habitaient aussi à Jérusalem, près de leurs parents.
And Mikloth brings forth Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, opposite to their brethren.
39 Ner engendra Kish. Kis est devenu le père de Saül. Saül engendra Jonathan, Malkischua, Abinadab et Eschbaal.
And Ner brings forth Kish; and Kish brings forth Saul; and Saul brings forth Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
40 Le fils de Jonathan s'appelait Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal engendra Michée.
And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal: and Meribbaal brings forth Micah.
41 Fils de Michée: Pithon, Mélec, Tahréa et Achaz.
And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.
42 Achaz engendra Jarah. Jarah engendra Alemeth, Azmaveth et Zimri. Zimri engendra Moza.
And Ahaz brings forth Jarah; and Jarah brings forth Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri brings forth Moza;
43 Moza engendra Binea, son fils Rephaja, son fils Éléasa, et son fils Azel.
And Moza brings forth Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
44 Azel eut six fils, dont les noms sont: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ismaël, Sheariah, Abdias et Hanan. Ce sont les fils d'Azel.
And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.
