1 Chroniques 21
1 Satan se dressa contre Israël, et il poussa David à faire le recensement d'Israël.
And he rose up an adversary on Israel and he incited David to count Israel.
2 David dit à Joab et aux chefs du peuple: « Allez recenser Israël depuis Beer Schéba jusqu'à Dan, et rapportez-moi un rapport, afin que je sache combien ils sont. »
And he said David to Joab and to [the] leaders of the people go count Israel from Beer Sheba and to Dan and bring [it] to me so let me know number their.
3 Joab dit: « Que Yahvé rende son peuple cent fois plus nombreux qu'eux! Mais, mon seigneur le roi, ne sont-ils pas tous des serviteurs de mon seigneur? Pourquoi mon seigneur exige-t-il cela? Pourquoi sera-t-il une cause de culpabilité pour Israël? »
And he said Joab may he add Yahweh to people his - like them a hundred times ¿ not O lord my the king [do] all of them [belong] to lord my to subjects why? does he seek this lord my why? will it become guilt for Israel.
4 Mais la parole du roi l'emporta sur Joab. Joab partit donc, parcourut tout Israël, puis vint à Jérusalem.
And [the] word of the king it prevailed over Joab and he went out Joab and he went about in all Israel and he came Jerusalem.
5 Joab remit à David le résultat du recensement du peuple. Tous ceux d'Israël étaient un million cent mille hommes tirant l'épée, et en Juda, quatre cent soixante-dix mille hommes tirant l'épée.
And he gave Joab [the] number of [the] muster of the people to David and it was all Israel one thousand thousands and one hundred thousand man [who] drew out a sword and Judah four hundred and seventy thousand man [who] drew out a sword.
6 Mais il ne compta pas parmi eux Lévi et Benjamin, car la parole du roi était abominable pour Joab.
And Levi and Benjamin not he enrolled in midst of them for it was abhorred [the] word of the king Joab.
7 Dieu fut mécontent de cette chose, et il frappa Israël.
And it was displeasing in [the] eyes of God on the matter this and he struck Israel.
8 David dit à Dieu: « J'ai beaucoup péché, en faisant cela. Mais maintenant, efface, je t'en prie, l'iniquité de ton serviteur, car j'ai fait une grande folie. »
And he said David to God I have sinned exceedingly that I have done the thing this and now cause to pass away please [the] guilt of servant your for I have acted foolishly exceedingly.
9 Yahvé parla à Gad, le voyant de David, et dit:
And he spoke Yahweh to Gad [the] seer of David saying.
10 « Va parler à David, et dis-lui: « Yahvé dit: Je te propose trois choses. Choisis l'une d'elles, et je te la ferai. »"
Go and you will speak to David saying thus he says Yahweh three [things] I [am] holding out over you choose for yourself one from them so I may do [it] to you.
11 Gad se rendit auprès de David et lui dit: « Yahvé dit: « Choisis:
And he went Gad to David and he said to him thus he says Yahweh take for yourself.
12 ou bien trois années de famine, ou bien trois mois à être consumés devant tes ennemis, tandis que l'épée de tes ennemis te surprendra, ou bien trois jours de l'épée de Yahvé, la peste dans le pays, et l'ange de Yahvé qui détruit sur tout le territoire d'Israël. Considérez donc maintenant quelle réponse je ferai à celui qui m'a envoyé.'"
Whether three years famine and or three months being swept away from before opponents your and [the] sword of enemies your - to overtaking [you] and or three days [the] sword of Yahweh and pestilence in the land and [the] angel of Yahweh destroying in all [the] territory of Israel and therefore consider what? will I bring back [the] [one who] sent me word.
13 David dit à Gad: « Je suis dans la détresse. Laisse-moi tomber, je t'en prie, dans la main de Yahvé, car ses miséricordes sont très grandes. Ne me laisse pas tomber dans la main de l'homme. »
And he said David to Gad it is distress to me exceedingly let me fall please in [the] hand of Yahweh for [are] great compassion his exceedingly and in [the] hand of a human may not I fall.
14 Yahvé envoya une peste sur Israël, et soixante-dix mille hommes d'Israël tombèrent.
And he put Yahweh a pestilence on Israel and it fell of Israel seventy thousand person[s].
15 Dieu envoya un ange à Jérusalem pour la détruire. Comme il s'apprêtait à détruire, Yahvé vit, et il se détourna du désastre, et dit à l'ange destructeur: « C'est assez. Maintenant retire ta main. » L'ange de Yahvé se tenait près de l'aire de battage d'Ornan, le Jébusien.
And he sent God - an angel - to Jerusalem to destroy it and just as was destroying [it] he saw Yahweh and he relented on the calamity and he said to the angel destroying enough now let drop hand your and [the] angel of Yahweh [was] standing near [the] threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
16 David leva les yeux et vit l'ange de Yahvé qui se tenait entre la terre et le ciel, l'épée tirée dans sa main, tendue sur Jérusalem. Alors David et les anciens, vêtus de sacs, tombèrent sur leur visage.
And he lifted up David eyes his and he saw [the] angel of Yahweh standing between the earth and between the heavens and sword his drawn in hand his [was] stretched out over Jerusalem and he fell David and the elders covered in sackcloth on faces their.
17 David dit à Dieu: « N'est-ce pas moi qui ai ordonné le recensement du peuple? C'est moi qui ai péché et fait beaucoup de mal, mais ces brebis, qu'ont-elles fait? Je t'en prie, que ta main, Yahvé mon Dieu, soit contre moi et contre la maison de mon père, mais pas contre ton peuple, pour qu'il soit tourmenté. »
And he said David to God ¿ not I did I say to count the people and I [am] he (the shepherd *X) who I have sinned and exceedingly I have done evil and these the sheep what? have they done O Yahweh God my let it be please hand your on me and on [the] house of father my and on people your not to a plague.
18 Et l'ange de l'Éternel ordonna à Gad de dire à David que David devait monter et élever un autel à l'Éternel sur l'aire d'Ornan, le Jébusien.
And [the] angel of Yahweh he said to Gad to say to David that - he will go up David to set up an altar to Yahweh on [the] threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
19 David monta sur la parole de Gad, qu'il avait prononcée au nom de l'Éternel.
And he went up David by [the] word of Gad which he had spoken in [the] name of Yahweh.
20 Ornan se retourna et vit l'ange, et ses quatre fils qui étaient avec lui se cachèrent. Ornan était en train de battre le blé.
And he turned Ornan and he saw the angel and [the] four sons his with him [were] hiding themselves and Ornan he threshed wheat.
21 Comme David s'approchait d'Ornan, Ornan regarda et vit David; il sortit de l'aire et se prosterna devant David, le visage contre terre.
And he came David to Ornan and he looked Ornan and he saw David and he went out from the threshing floor and he bowed down to David face [the] ground towards.
22 David dit à Ornan: « Vends-moi l'emplacement de cette aire pour que j'y bâtisse un autel à Yahvé. Tu me le vendras au prix fort, afin que la plaie cesse de frapper le peuple. »
And he said David to Ornan give! to me [the] place of the threshing floor so I may build on it an altar to Yahweh for money full give it to me so it may be restrained the plague from on the people.
23 Ornan dit à David: « Prends-le pour toi, et laisse mon seigneur le roi faire ce qui est bon à ses yeux. Voici, je donne les bœufs pour les holocaustes, les instruments de battage pour le bois, et le blé pour l'offrande. Je donne tout. »
And he said Ornan to David take [it] for yourself so may he do lord my the king the good in eyes his see I give the ox[en] for the burnt offerings and the threshing-sledges for the wood and the wheat for the grain offering everything I give.
24 Le roi David dit à Ornan: « Non, mais je l'achèterai certainement au prix fort. Car je ne veux pas prendre ce qui est à toi pour Yahvé, ni offrir un holocauste qui ne me coûte rien. »
And he said the king David to Ornan In-deed certainly I will acquire [it] for money full for not I will take [that] which [belongs] to you for Yahweh and to offer up a burnt offering for nothing.
25 Et David donna à Ornan six cents sicles d'or au poids pour ce lieu.
And he gave David to Ornan for the place shekels of gold weight six hundred.
26 David y bâtit un autel à l'Éternel, et il offrit des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces; il invoqua l'Éternel, qui lui répondit du haut du ciel par le feu sur l'autel des holocaustes.
And he built there David an altar to Yahweh and he offered up burnt offerings and peace offerings and he called out to Yahweh and he answered him by fire from the heavens on [the] altar of the burnt offering.
27 Alors Yahvé donna un ordre à l'ange, qui remit son épée dans son fourreau.
And he spoke Yahweh to the angel and he returned sword his to sheath its.
28 En ce temps-là, David vit que Yahvé lui avait répondu dans l'aire d'Ornan, le Jébusien, et c'est là qu'il offrit des sacrifices.
At the time that when saw David that he had answered him Yahweh on [the] threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite and he sacrificed there.
29 Car le tabernacle de Yahvé, que Moïse avait construit dans le désert, et l'autel des holocaustes, étaient en ce temps-là sur le haut lieu de Gabaon.
And [the] tabernacle of Yahweh which he had made Moses in the wilderness and [the] altar of the burnt offering at the time that [were] in the high place at Gibeon.
30 Mais David ne pouvait pas aller devant pour consulter Dieu, car il avait peur de l'épée de l'ange de Yahvé.
And not he was able David to go before it to seek God for he was terrified of [the] sword of [the] angel of Yahweh.
