< Mika 5 >

1 O aʋawɔlawo ƒe du. Ƒo wò aʋawɔlawo nu ƒu elabena futɔwo ɖe to ɖe mí. Woatsɔ ati aƒo tome na Israel ƒe dziɖula.
Now you shall gather yourself in troops, daughter of troops. He has laid siege against us. They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek.
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come forth to me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.
3 Mawu aɖe asi le Israel ŋuti na eƒe futɔwo va se ɖe esime nyɔnu si fu le ɖuɖum la nadzi vi; eye Israelvi siwo susɔ ɖe aboyo me la natrɔ gbɔ akpe ɖe wo nɔviwo ŋuti anɔ woawo ŋutɔ ƒe anyigba dzi.
Therefore he will abandon them until the time that she who is in labor gives birth. Then the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel.
He shall stand, and shall shepherd in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God: and they will live, for then he will be great to the farthest parts of the earth.
5 Eyae anye woƒe ŋutifafa. Ne Asiria ho aʋa va míaƒe anyigba dzi heto míaƒe mɔ sesẽwo me la, ekema míadɔ alẽkplɔla adre ɖe eŋuti kple kplɔla enyi be woakplɔ mí.
He will be our peace when Assyria invades our land, and when he marches through our fortresses, then we will raise against him seven shepherds, and eight leaders of men.
6 Woaɖu Asiria dzi kple yi, eye woato eƒe agbowo me age ɖe Nimrɔd ƒe anyigba dzi. Aɖe mí tso Asiria ƒe asime nenye be wòho aʋa va dze míaƒe anyigba dzi be yeaɖo afɔ míaƒe liƒowo dzi.
They will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod with the drawn sword. He will deliver us from the Assyrian, when he invades our land, and when he marches within our border.
7 Yakob ƒe ame mamlɛawo anɔ ame geɖewo dome abe ahũ si dza tso Yehowa gbɔ kple agbafie si dzana ɖe gbe dzi, eye melalaa amegbetɔ alo kpɔa amegbetɔ ƒe asinu o la ene.
The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples, like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, that do not wait for man, nor wait for the sons of men.
The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the animals of the forest, like a young lion among the flocks of sheep; who, if he goes through, treads down and tears in pieces, and there is no one to deliver.
9 Àkɔ wò alɔ dzi le dziɖuɖu me ɖe wò futɔwo ŋuti eye àɖu wò ketɔwo katã dzi.
Let your hand be lifted up above your adversaries, and let all of your enemies be cut off.
10 Yehowa be: “Le gbe ma gbe la, matsrɔ̃ miaƒe sɔwo eye magblẽ miaƒe tasiaɖamwo
"It will happen in that day," says the LORD, "That I will cut off your horses out of the midst of you, and will destroy your chariots.
11 Magbã wò duwo eye mamu wò mɔ sesẽwo aƒu anyi.
I will cut off the cities of your land, and will tear down all your strongholds.
12 Matsi adzewɔwɔ nu le wò anyigba dzi eye màgasa gbesa azɔ o.
I will destroy witchcraft from your hand; and you shall have no soothsayers.
13 Matɔ dzo wò aklamakpakpɛwo eye magbã wò legba siwo nèwɔ kple wò asiwo be màgade ta agu na wo o.
I will cut off your engraved images and your pillars out of your midst; and you shall no more worship the work of your hands.
14 Maho miaƒe aƒeli kɔkɔwo aƒu anyi eye magbã miaƒe duwo.
I will uproot your Asherim out of your midst; and I will destroy your cities.
15 Mlɔeba la, matrɔ nye dziku akɔ ɖe dukɔ siwo gbe toɖoɖom la dzi eye mabia hlɔ̃ wo.”
I will execute vengeance in anger, and wrath on the nations that did not listen."
