Psalmaro 135

1 Haleluja! Gloru la nomon de la Eternulo, Gloru, sklavoj de la Eternulo,

Praise ye Yah, Praise ye the Name of Yahweh, Praise, O ye servants of Yahweh;

2 Kiuj staras en la domo de la Eternulo, En la kortoj de la domo de nia Dio.

Who stand In the house of Yahweh, In the courts of the house of our God.

3 Gloru la Eternulon, ĉar la Eternulo estas bona; Prikantu Lian nomon, ĉar ĝi estas ĉarma.

Praise ye Yah, For good is Yahweh, Sing praises to his Name, For it is full of delight;

4 Ĉar Jakobon la Eternulo elektis al Si, Izraelon kiel Sian trezoron.

For, Jacob, hath Yah chosen for himself, Israel, for his own treasure.

5 Ĉar mi scias, ke la Eternulo estas granda Kaj ke nia Sinjoro estas super ĉiuj dioj.

For, I, know that great is Yahweh, yea, our Lord, is beyond all gods.

6 Ĉion, kion la Eternulo deziras, Li faras, En la ĉielo kaj sur la tero, sur la maroj kaj en ĉiuj abismoj.

Whatsoever Yahweh hath pleased, he hath done, —in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas, and all resounding deeps:

7 Li levas la nubojn de la randoj de la tero, Li aperigas fulmojn en la pluvo, Li elirigas la venton el Siaj provizejoj.

Causing vapours to ascend from the end of the earth, —Lightnings for the rain, hath he made, bringing forth wind out of his treasuries.

8 Li batis la unuenaskitojn en Egiptujo, De homo ĝis bruto.

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man, and of beast;

9 Li aperigis signojn kaj miraklojn interne de vi, ho Egiptujo, Super Faraono kaj ĉiuj liaj sklavoj.

Sent signs and wonders into thy midst, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

10 Li batis multajn popolojn, Kaj mortigis potencajn reĝojn:

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings:

11 Siĥonon, reĝon de la Amoridoj, Kaj Ogon, reĝon de Baŝan, Kaj ĉiujn regnojn Kanaanajn.

Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;

12 Kaj Li donis ilian landon kiel heredon, Heredon al Lia popolo Izrael.

And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.

13 Ho Eternulo, Via nomo estas eterna; Ho Eternulo, la memoro pri Vi restas por ĉiuj generacioj.

O Yahweh! thy Name, is age-abiding, —O Yahweh! thy memorial, is to generation after generation.

14 Ĉar la Eternulo juĝos Sian popolon, Kaj Li korfavoros Siajn sklavojn.

For Yahweh will vindicate his people, —and, on his servants, have compassion.

15 La idoloj de la popoloj estas arĝento kaj oro, Faritaĵo de homaj manoj.

The idols of the nations, are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men:

16 Buŝon ili havas, sed ne parolas; Okulojn ili havas, sed ne vidas;

A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;

17 Orelojn ili havas, sed ne aŭdas; Kaj ne ekzistas spiro en ilia buŝo.

Ears, have they, but they hear not, Nose, —there is no breath in their mouth.

18 Kiel ili, tiel estos iliaj farantoj, Ĉiuj, kiuj ilin fidas.

Like unto them, shall be they who make them, every one who trusteth in them.

19 Ho domo de Izrael, benu la Eternulon; Ho domo de Aaron, benu la Eternulon;

O house of Israel! bless Yahweh, O house of Aaron! bless Yahweh;

20 Ho domo de Levi, benu la Eternulon; Ho timantoj de la Eternulo, benu la Eternulon.

O house of Levi! bless Yahweh, Ye that revere Yahweh! bless Yahweh.

21 El Cion estu benata la Eternulo, Kiu loĝas en Jerusalem. Haleluja!

Blessed be Yahweh out of Zion, Who inhabiteth Jerusalem, Praise ye Yah!
