Josuo 11

1 Kiam tion aŭdis Jabin, reĝo de Ĥacor, li sendis al Jobab, reĝo de Madon, kaj al la reĝo de Ŝimron kaj al la reĝo de Aĥŝaf,

And whe Iabin King of Hazor had heard this, then he sent to Iobab King of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,

2 kaj al la reĝoj, kiuj loĝis norde sur la monto, kaj sur la stepo sude de Kinerot, kaj sur la malaltaĵo, kaj en Nafot-Dor apud la maro,

And vnto the Kings that were by ye North in the mountaines and plaines toward the Southside of Cinneroth, and in the valleys, and in the borders of Dor Westward,

3 al la Kanaanidoj oriente kaj okcidente, kaj al la Amoridoj kaj Ĥetidoj kaj Perizidoj, kaj Jebusidoj sur la monto, kaj al la Ĥividoj sub Ĥermon en la lando Micpa.

And vnto the Canaanites, both by East, and by West, and vnto the Amorites, and Hittites, and Perizzites, and Iebusites in the mountaines, and vnto the Hiuites vnder Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.

4 Kaj eliris ili kaj ilia tuta militistaro kun ili, granda nombro da homoj, kiel la sablo sur la bordo de la maro, kaj tre multe da ĉevaloj kaj ĉaroj.

And they came out and all their hostes with them, many people as the sande that is on the sea shore for multitude, with horses and charets exceeding many.

5 Kaj kuniĝis ĉiuj tiuj reĝoj, kaj venis kaj starigis siajn tendarojn kune apud la akvo Merom, por batali kontraŭ Izrael.

So all these Kings met together, and came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, for to fight against Israel.

6 Kaj la Eternulo diris al Josuo: Ne timu ilin, ĉar morgaŭ en ĉi tiu tempo Mi transdonos ilin ĉiujn mortigotajn al Izrael; iliajn ĉevalojn vi lamigos, kaj iliajn ĉarojn vi forbruligos per fajro.

Then the Lord sayd vnto Ioshua, Be not afrayd for them: for to morowe about this time will I deliuer them all slaine before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burne their charets with fire.

7 Kaj eliris kontraŭ ilin Josuo kune kun ĉiuj militistoj subite al la akvo Merom, kaj ĵetis sin sur ilin.

Then came Ioshua and al the men of warre with him against them by the waters of Merom suddenly, and fell vpon them.

8 Kaj la Eternulo transdonis ilin en la manojn de la Izraelidoj, kaj ĉi tiuj batis ilin, kaj persekutis ilin ĝis Granda Cidon kaj ĝis Misrefot-Maim, kaj ĝis la valo de Micpe oriente, kaj batis ilin tiel, ke ili lasis al ili neniun restanton.

And the Lord gaue them into the hand of Israel: and they smote them, and chased them vnto great Zidon, and vnto Misrephothmaim, and vnto the valley of Mizpeh Eastward, and smote them vntill they had none remaining of them.

9 Kaj Josuo agis kun ili tiel, kiel diris al li la Eternulo: iliajn ĉevalojn li lamigis, kaj iliajn ĉarojn li forbruligis per fajro.

And Ioshua did vnto them as the Lord bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their charets with fire.

10 Kaj en tiu tempo Josuo iris returne, kaj prenis Ĥacoron, kaj ĝian reĝon li mortigis per glavo; ĉar Ĥacor antaŭe estis la ĉefa el ĉiuj tiuj regnoj.

At that time also Ioshua turned backe, and tooke Hazor, and smote the King thereof with the sword: for Hazor before time was the head of all those kingdomes.

11 Kaj ili mortigis per glavo ĉion vivantan, kio estis en ĝi; ili ekstermis tiel, ke restis neniu animo; kaj Ĥacoron li forbruligis per fajro.

Moreouer, they smote all the persons that were therein with the edge of the sworde, vtterly destroying all, leauing none aliue, and hee burnt Hazor with fire.

12 Kaj ĉiujn urbojn de tiuj reĝoj kaj ĉiujn iliajn reĝojn Josuo prenis, kaj mortigis ilin per glavo, ekstermis ilin, kiel ordonis Moseo, servanto de la Eternulo.

So all ye cities of those Kings, and all the kings of them did Ioshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and vtterly destroyed them, as Moses the seruant of the Lord had commanded.

13 Sed ĉiujn urbojn, kiuj staris sur montetoj, la Izraelidoj ne forbruligis; nur Ĥacoron solan Josuo forbruligis.

But Israel burnt none of the cities that stoode still in their strength, saue Hazor onely, that Ioshua burnt.

14 Kaj la tutan akireblaĵon el tiuj urboj kaj la brutojn la Izraelidoj rabis al si; nur ĉiujn homojn ili mortigis per glavo, ĝis ili ekstermis ilin, restigante neniun animon.

And all the spoyle of these cities and the cattel the children of Israel tooke for their praye, but they smote euery man with the edge of the sword vntill they had destroyed them, not leauing one aliue.

15 Kiel la Eternulo ordonis al Sia servanto Moseo, tiel Moseo ordonis al Josuo, kaj tiel faris Josuo; li mankigis nenion el ĉio, kion la Eternulo ordonis al Moseo.

As the Lord had commanded Moses his seruant, so did Moses commande Ioshua, and so did Ioshua: he left nothing vndone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses.

16 Tiamaniere Josuo prenis tiun tutan landon, la monton kaj la tutan sudan parton kaj la tutan landon Goŝen kaj la malaltaĵon kaj la stepon kaj la monton de Izrael kun ĝia bazo;

So Ioshua tooke all this land of the mountaines, and all the South, and all the lande of Goshen, and the lowe countrey, and the plaine, and the mountaine of Israel, and the lowe countrey of the same,

17 de la monto Ĥalak, kiu leviĝas en la direkto al Seir, ĝis Baal-Gad en la valo de Lebanon, sub la monto Ĥermon; kaj ĉiujn iliajn reĝojn li prenis, kaj batis ilin kaj mortigis ilin.

From the mount Halak, that goeth vp to Seir, euen vnto Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon, vnder mount Hermon: and all their Kings he tooke, and smote them, and slewe them.

18 Dum longa tempo Josuo militis kontraŭ ĉiuj tiuj reĝoj.

Ioshua made warre long time with all those Kings,

19 Ne ekzistis urbo, kiu faris pacon kun la Izraelidoj, krom la Ĥividoj, loĝantoj en Gibeon; ĉiujn ili prenis per milito.

Neither was there any citie that made peace with the children of Israel, saue those Hiuites that inhabited Gibeon: all other they tooke by battell.

20 Ĉar de la Eternulo venis la obstiniĝo de ilia koro al milito kontraŭ Izrael, por ekstermi ilin, por ke ne estu indulgo por ili, sed por ekstermi ilin plene, kiel la Eternulo ordonis al Moseo.

For it came of the Lord, to harden their heartes that they shoulde come against Israel in battell to the intent that they shoulde destroye them vtterly, and shewe them no mercie, but that they shoulde bring them to nought: as the Lord had commanded Moses.

21 Kaj en tiu tempo venis Josuo, kaj ekstermis la Anakidojn sur la monto, en Ĥebron, en Debir, en Anab, kaj sur la tuta monto de Jehuda kaj sur la monto de Izrael; kun iliaj urboj Josuo ekstermis ilin.

And that same season came Ioshua, and destroyed the Anakims out of the mountaines: as out of Hebron, out of Debir, out of Anab, and out of all the mountaines of Iudah, and out of all the mountaines of Israel: Ioshua destroyed them vtterly with their cities.

22 Ne restis Anakidoj en la lando de la Izraelidoj; nur en Gaza, en Gat, kaj en Aŝdod ili restis.

There was no Anakim left in the lande of the children of Israel: onely in Azzah, in Gath, and in Ashdod were they left.

23 Tiamaniere Josuo prenis la tutan landon, konforme al ĉio, kion la Eternulo diris al Moseo; kaj Josuo donis ĝin kiel heredan posedaĵon al Izrael, laŭ iliaj partoj, laŭ iliaj triboj. Kaj la lando trankviliĝis de milito.

So Ioshua tooke the whole land, according to all that the Lord had saide vnto Moses: and Ioshua gaue it for an inheritance vnto Israel according to their portion through their tribes: then the land was at rest without warre.
