1 Samuel 24
1 Kiam Saul revenis de sia iro kontraŭ la Filiŝtoj, oni raportis al li, dirante: Jen David estas en la dezerto En-Gedi.
When Saul was turned from ye Philistims, they told him, saying, Behold, Dauid is in the wildernes of En-gedi.
2 Tiam Saul prenis tri mil virojn, elektitajn el la tuta Izrael, kaj iris serĉi Davidon kaj liajn homojn sur la rokoj de la ibeksoj.
Then Saul tooke three thousande chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seeke Dauid and his men vpon the rocks among the wilde goates.
3 Kaj li venis al la baraĵoj de la ŝafoj ĉe la vojo; tie estis kaverno; kaj Saul eniris tien por natura bezono. Kaj David kun siaj homoj estis en la profundo de la kaverno.
And hee came to the sheepecoates by the way where there was a caue, and Saul went in to do his easement: and Dauid and his men sate in the inward parts of the caue.
4 Tiam la homoj de David diris al li: Jen estas la tago, pri kiu la Eternulo diris al vi: Jen Mi transdonos vian malamikon en viajn manojn, por ke vi faru al li tion, kio plaĉos al vi. Sed David leviĝis, kaj nerimarkite detranĉis anguleton de la vesto de Saul.
And the men of Dauid said vnto him, See, the day is come, whereof the Lord sayde vnto thee, Beholde, I will deliuer thine enemie into thine hande, and thou shalt doe to him as it shall seeme good to thee. Then Dauid arose and cut off the lap of Sauls garment priuily.
5 Tamen post tio la koro de David ekbatis en li pro tio, ke li detranĉis la vestanguleton de Saul.
And afterward Dauid was touched in his heart, because he had cut off the lappe which was on Sauls garment.
6 Kaj li diris al siaj homoj: La Eternulo gardu min, ke mi ne faru tian faron al mia sinjoro, al la sanktoleito de la Eternulo, etendante mian manon kontraŭ lin; li estas ja sanktoleito de la Eternulo.
And he said vnto his men, The Lord keepe mee from doing that thing vnto my master the Lords Anoynted, to lay mine hand vpon him: for he is the Anoynted of the Lord.
7 Kaj David repuŝis siajn homojn per la vortoj, kaj ne permesis al ili leviĝi kontraŭ Saulon. Kaj Saul leviĝis el la kaverno kaj iris sur la vojon.
So Dauid ouercame his seruants with these words, and suffered them not to arise against Saul: so Saul rose vp out of the caue and went away.
8 Post tio leviĝis David kaj eliris el la kaverno, kaj kriis post Saul jene: Mia sinjoro, ho reĝo! Saul ekrigardis malantaŭen, kaj tiam David klinis sian vizaĝon al la tero kaj adorkliniĝis.
Dauid also arose afterward, and went out of the caue, and cryed after Saul, saying, O my lorde the King. And when Saul looked behinde him, Dauid inclined his face to the earth, and bowed himselfe.
9 Kaj David diris al Saul: Kial vi aŭskultas la vortojn de homoj, kiuj diras: Jen David serĉas malbonon kontraŭ vi?
And Dauid saide to Saul, Wherefore giuest thou an eare to mens words, that say, Behold, Dauid seeketh euill against thee?
10 Jen hodiaŭ viaj okuloj vidis, ke la Eternulo transdonis vin hodiaŭ en mian manon en la kaverno, kaj oni diris, ke mi mortigu vin; sed mi indulgis vin, kaj mi diris: Mi ne etendos mian manon kontraŭ mian sinjoron, ĉar li estas sanktoleito de la Eternulo.
Behold, this day thine eyes haue seene, that the Lord had deliuered thee this day into mine hand in the caue, and some bade me kill thee, but I had compassion on thee, and said, I will not lay mine hande on my master: for he is the Lordes Anoynted.
11 Mia patro, rigardu kaj vidu la anguleton de via vesto en mia mano; el tio, ke mi detranĉis la anguleton de via vesto, sed ne mortigis vin, sciu kaj vidu, ke mi ne havas malbonon nek krimon en mia mano kaj mi ne pekis kontraŭ vi; sed vi postkuras mian animon, por preni ĝin.
Moreouer my father, behold: behold, I say, the lappe of thy garment in mine hand: for when I cut off the lappe of thy garment, I killed thee not. Vnderstad and see, that there is neither euil nor wickednesse in mee, neither haue I sinned against thee, yet thou huntest after my soule to take it.
12 La Eternulo juĝu inter mi kaj vi, kaj la Eternulo venĝu al vi pro mi; sed mia mano ne estos sur vi.
The Lord be iudge betweene thee and me, and the Lord auenge me of thee, and let not mine hand be vpon thee.
13 Kiel diras antikva proverbo: De malpiuloj eliras malpiaĵo; sed mia mano ne estos sur vi.
According as the olde prouerbe sayeth, Wickednesse proceedeth from the wicked, but mine hand be not vpon thee.
14 Post kiu eliris la reĝo de Izrael? kiun vi postkuras? malvivan hundon, unu pulon.
After whom is the King of Israel come out? after whome doest thou pursue? after a dead dog, and after a flea?
15 La Eternulo estu juĝanto kaj juĝu inter mi kaj vi, kaj Li rigardu kaj prizorgu mian proceson kaj defendu min kontraŭ via mano.
The Lord therfore be iudge, and iudge betweene thee and me, and see, and pleade my cause, and deliuer me out of thine hand.
16 Kaj kiam David finis la paroladon de tiuj vortoj al Saul, Saul diris: Ĉu tio estas via voĉo, mia filo David? Kaj Saul levis sian voĉon kaj ekploris.
Whe Dauid had made an end of speaking these words to Saul, Saul sayd, Is this thy voyce, my sonne Dauid? and Saul lift vp his voice, and wept,
17 Kaj li diris al David: Vi estas pli justa ol mi; ĉar vi repagis al mi per bono, dum mi repagis al vi per malbono.
And sayd to Dauid, Thou art more righteous then I: for thou hast rendred me good, and I haue rendred thee euill.
18 Kaj hodiaŭ vi montris al mi, kiel vi agis bone kun mi; ĉar la Eternulo transdonis min en vian manon, kaj vi ne mortigis min.
And thou hast shewed this day, that thou hast dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the Lord had closed me in thine hands, thou killedst me not.
19 Kiam homo trovas sian malamikon, ĉu li forliberigas lin en bona maniero? La Eternulo repagu al vi per bono pro tio, kion vi hodiaŭ faris al mi.
For who shall finde his enemie, and let him depart free? wherefore the Lord render thee good for that thou hast done vnto me this day.
20 Kaj jen nun mi eksciis, ke vi fariĝos reĝo, kaj fortikiĝos en via mano la regno de Izrael.
For now behold, I know that thou shalt be King, and that the kingdome of Israel shall be stablished in thine hand.
21 Ĵuru do al mi per la Eternulo, ke vi ne ekstermos mian idaron post mi kaj vi ne malaperigos mian nomon el la domo de mia patro.
Sweare now therfore vnto me by the Lord, that thou wilt not destroy my seede after me, and that thou wilt not abolish my name out of my fathers house.
22 Kaj David ĵuris al Saul. Tiam Saul foriris al sia domo, kaj David kun siaj homoj iris en la rifuĝejon.
So Dauid sware vnto Saul, and Saul went home: but Dauid and his men went vp vnto ye hold.
