Jeremiah 50
1 The word that Jehovah hath spoken concerning Babylon, concerning the land of the Chaldeans, by the hand of Jeremiah the prophet:
౧కల్దీయుల దేశమైన బబులోనును గూర్చి యిర్మీయా ప్రవక్త ద్వారా యెహోవా చేసిన ప్రకటన.
2 'Declare ye among nations, and sound, And lift up an ensign, sound, do not hide, Say ye: Captured hath been Babylon, Put to shame hath been Bel, Broken hath been Merodach, Put to shame have been her grievous things, Broken have been her idols.
౨దేశాల్లో, జాతుల్లో ప్రకటించండి. అందరూ వినేలా చేయండి. వాళ్ళు వినడానికి సూచనగా ఒక జెండాను ఎత్తి ఉంచండి. దాన్ని కనబడనివ్వండి. ఇలా చెప్పండి. “బబులోనును ఆక్రమించుకున్నారు. బేలు దేవుడికి అవమానం కలిగింది. మెరోదకు దేవుడికి వ్యాకులం కలిగింది. వాళ్ళ విగ్రహాలకు అవమానం కలిగింది., వాళ్ళ దేవుళ్ళ బొమ్మలు పతనమయ్యాయి.
3 For come up against her hath a nation from the north, It maketh her land become a desolation, And there is not an inhabitant in it. From man even unto beast, They have moved, they have gone.
౩దాని భూమిని నాశనం చేయడానికి దానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఉత్తర దిక్కునుండి ఒక జనం లేచింది. మనిషైనా, జంతువైనా దానిలో నివసించరు. వాళ్ళంతా పారిపోతారు.”
4 In those days, and at that time, An affirmation of Jehovah, Come in do sons of Israel, They and sons of Judah together, Going on and weeping they go, And Jehovah their God they seek.
౪ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన. “ఆ రోజుల్లో ఆ సమయంలో యూదా ప్రజలూ, ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలూ ఏడుస్తూ తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను వెదకడానికి కలిసి వస్తారు.
5 [To] Zion they ask the way, Thitherward [are] their faces: Come in, and we are joined unto Jehovah, A covenant age-during — not forgotten.
౫సీయోనుకు వెళ్ళే మార్గం ఏది అంటూ వాకబు చేస్తారు. ఆ మార్గంలో ప్రయాణం మొదలు పెడతారు. ఉల్లంఘించలేని శాశ్వత నిబంధనలో యెహోవాను కలవడానికి కలిసి వెళ్తారు.
6 A perishing flock hath My people been, Their shepherds have caused them to err, [To] the mountains causing them to go back, From mountain unto hill they have gone, They have forgotten their crouching-place.
౬నా ప్రజలు దారి తప్పిన గొర్రెలు. వారి కాపరులు వారిని పర్వతాల పైకి తీసుకు వెళ్లి దారి మళ్ళించారు. ఒక కొండ నుండి మరో కొండకు వాళ్ళని తిప్పారు. వాళ్ళు వెళ్ళారు. చివరకు తాము నివసించిన చోటు మర్చిపోయారు.
7 All finding them have devoured them, And their adversaries have said: We are not guilty, Because that they sinned against Jehovah, The habitation of righteousness, And the hope of their fathers — Jehovah.
౭వాళ్ళ దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళిన వారంతా వాళ్ళను మింగివేస్తూ వచ్చారు. వాళ్ళ శత్రువులు ‘మేం అపరాధులం కాము. ఎందుకంటే వీళ్ళు తమ నిజమైన నివాసం, తమ పూర్వీకులకు ఆధారం అయిన యెహోవాకు వ్యతిరేకంగా పాపం చేశారు.’ అన్నారు.
8 Move ye from the midst of Babylon, And from the land of the Chaldeans go out. And be as he-goats before a flock.
౮బబులోనులో నుండి బయల్దేరండి. కల్దీయుల దేశంలో నుండి పారిపోండి. మందకు ముందు నడిచే మేకపోతుల్లా ప్రజలకు ముందు నడవండి.
9 For, lo, I am stirring up, And am causing to come up against Babylon, An assembly of great nations from a land of the north, And they have set in array against her, From thence she is captured, Its arrow — as a skilful hero — returneth not empty,
౯ఎందుకంటే చూడండి, నేను బబులోనుకు విరోధంగా ఉత్తర దిక్కునుండి కొన్ని గొప్ప దేశాల సముదాయాన్ని రేపుతున్నాను. వాళ్ళు సిద్ధపడుతూ ఉన్నారు. బబులోనును వాళ్ళు పట్టుకుంటారు. వాళ్ళ బాణాలు నైపుణ్యం కల్గిన వీర యోధుల్లా ఉన్నాయి. అవి వ్యర్ధంగా తిరిగి రావు.
10 And Chaldea hath been for a spoil, All her spoilers are satisfied, An affirmation of Jehovah.
౧౦కల్దీయుల దేశం దోపుడు సొమ్ము అవుతుంది. దాన్ని దోచుకునే వాళ్ళంతా సంతృప్తి చెందుతారు.” ఇదే యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
11 Because thou rejoicest, because thou exultest, O spoilers of Mine inheritance, Because thou increasest as a heifer [at] the tender grass, And dost cry aloud as bulls,
౧౧“నా సొమ్మును మీరు దోచుకుని మీరు సంతోషించారు. పచ్చిక నేలపై గంతులు వేసే లేగ దూడలాగా మీరు గంతులు వేశారు. బలమైన గుర్రాల్లా సకిలిస్తూ ఉన్నారు.
12 Ashamed hath been your mother greatly, Confounded hath she been that bare you, Lo, the hindermost of nations [is] a wilderness, A dry land, and a desert.
౧౨కాబట్టి మీ తల్లి ఎంతో అవమానం పాలవుతుంది. మిమ్మల్ని కడుపున కన్న ఆమె ఎంతో చీకాకుపడుతుంది. జనాలన్నిటిలో ఆమె నీచమైనదిగా ఉంటుంది. ఆమె ఎడారిగానూ, ఎండిన భూమిగానూ, అడవిగానూ ఉంటుంది.
13 Because of the wrath of Jehovah it is not inhabited, And it hath been a desolation — all of it. Every passer by at Babylon is astonished, And doth hiss because of all her plagues.
౧౩యెహోవాకు కలిగిన క్రోధాన్ని బట్టి బబులోను నిర్మానుష్యమవుతుంది. సర్వనాశనమవుతుంది. బబులోను దారి గుండా వెళ్ళే వాళ్ళందరూ దాన్ని చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపోతారు. దాని గాయాలను చూసి దాన్ని తిరస్కరిస్తారు.
14 Set yourselves in array against Babylon round about, All ye treading a bow, Shoot at her, have no pity on the arrow, For against Jehovah she hath sinned.
౧౪బబులోనుకు చుట్టూ బారులు తీరండి. విల్లును వంచగలిగిన ప్రతి ఒక్కడూ ఆమెపై బాణం వెయ్యాలి. ఆమె యెహోవాకు విరోధంగా పాపం చేసింది. కాబట్టి మీ బాణాలు దాచుకోవద్దు.
15 Shout against her round about, She hath given forth her hand, Fallen have her foundations, Thrown down have been her walls, For it [is] the vengeance of Jehovah, Be avenged of her, as she did — do ye to her.
౧౫దాని చుట్టూ నిలిచి జయజయ ధ్వానాలు చేయండి. ఆమె తన అధికారాన్ని వదులుకుంది. ఆమె గోపురాలు కూలిపోయాయి. దాని గోడలు పడిపోతున్నాయి. యెహోవా ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకుంటున్నాడు. అది ఇతర దేశాలకు చేసినట్టే మీరు దానికి చేయండి.
16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, And him handling the sickle in the time of harvest, Because of the oppressing sword, Each unto his people — they turn, And each to his land — they flee.
౧౬బబులోనులో విత్తనాలు చల్లే వాణ్ణీ, కొడవలి తీసుకుని పంట కోసే వాణ్ణీ ఉండకుండా వాళ్ళను నిర్మూలం చేయండి. క్రూరమైన ఖడ్గానికి భయపడి వారందరు తమ ప్రజల దగ్గరికి వెళ్తూ ఉన్నారు తమ తమ దేశాలకు పారిపోతున్నారు.
17 A scattered sheep is Israel, lions have driven away, At first, devour him did the king of Asshur, And now, at last, broken his bone Hath Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.
౧౭ఇశ్రాయేలు వారు చెదిరిపోయిన గొర్రెలు. సింహాలు వాటిని చెదరగొట్టి, తరిమాయి. మొదటిగా అష్షూరు రాజు వాళ్ళను మింగివేశాడు. దాని తర్వాత బబులోను రాజైన ఈ నెబుకద్నెజరు వాళ్ళ ఎముకలు విరగ్గొట్టాడు.”
18 Therefore thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel: Lo, I am seeing after the king of Babylon, And after his land, As I have seen after the king of Asshur;
౧౮కాబట్టి సేనల ప్రభువూ, ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడూ అయిన యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “చూడండి, అష్షూరు రాజును నేను దండించినట్టు బబులోను రాజునూ అతని దేశాన్నీ దండించ బోతున్నాను.
19 And I have brought back Israel unto his habitation, And he hath fed on Carmel, and on Bashan. And in mount Ephraim, and on Gilead is his soul satisfied.
౧౯ఇశ్రాయేలును తన స్వదేశానికి నేను చేరుస్తాను. అతడు కర్మెలు, బాషానులపై మేత మేస్తాడు. ఎఫ్రాయిము, గిలాదు మన్య ప్రాంతాల ద్వారా అతడు తృప్తి చెందుతాడు.”
20 In those days, and at that time, An affirmation of Jehovah, Sought is the iniquity of Israel, and it is not, And the sin of Judah, and it is not found, For I am propitious to those whom I leave!
౨౦యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “ఆ రోజుల్లో, ఆ సమయంలో ఇశ్రాయేలులో అతిక్రమాల కోసం వెదుకుతారు, కానీ ఎంత వెదికినా అవి కనపడవు. యూదా ప్రజల పాపాల కోసం వాకబు చేస్తాను కానీ అవి దొరకవు. మిగిలి ఉన్న వాళ్ళను నేను క్షమిస్తాను.
21 Against the land of Merathaim: Go up against it, and unto the inhabitants of Pekod, Waste and devote their posterity, An affirmation of Jehovah, And do according to all that I have commanded thee.
౨౧మెరాతయీయుల దేశంపైకి దండెత్తి వెళ్ళండి. అలాగే పెకోదీయుల దేశం పైకి వెళ్ళండి. వాళ్ళని కత్తితో అంతం చెయ్యి. వాళ్ళను నాశనం చెయ్యి.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన. “నేను ఆజ్ఞాపించిన ప్రకారం చెయ్యి.
22 A noise of battle [is] in the land, and of great destruction.
౨౨వినండి, యుద్ధమూ, మహా వినాశనమూ జరుగుతున్న ధ్వని వినిపిస్తున్నది.
23 How hath it been cut and broken, The hammer of the whole earth! How hath Babylon been for a desolation among nations!
౨౩అన్ని దేశాలనూ అణగ గొట్టే సుత్తి ఎలా విరిగి పోయిందో చూడండి. దేశాల మధ్య బబులోను ఎలా ఒక భయానక దృశ్యంలా ఉందో చూడండి
24 I have laid a snare for thee, And also — thou art captured, O Babylon, And thou — thou hast known, Thou hast been found, and also art caught, For against Jehovah thou hast stirred thyself up.
౨౪బబులోనూ, నేను నీ కోసం ఒక బోను పెట్టాను. నువ్వు అందులో చిక్కావు. కానీ ఆ సంగతి నీకు తెలియలేదు. యెహోవా అనే నన్ను సవాలు చేశావు. కాబట్టి నిన్ను వెతికి పట్టుకున్నాను.”
25 Jehovah hath opened His treasury, And He bringeth out the weapons of His indignation, For a work [is] to the Lord Jehovah of Hosts, In the land of the Chaldeans.
౨౫కల్దీయుల దేశంలో సేనల ప్రభువైన యెహోవాకు చేయాల్సిన పని ఉంది. ఆయన తన క్రోధాన్ని చూపడానికి తన ఆయుధాగారాన్ని తెరచి ఆయుధాలను బయటకు తీస్తున్నాడు.
26 Come ye in to her from the extremity, Open ye her storehouses, Raise her up as heaps, and devote her, Let her have no remnant.
౨౬దూరం నుండే ఆమెపై దాడి చేయండి. ఆమె ధాన్యాగారాన్ని తెరవండి. ధాన్యం కుప్పలు పోసినట్టుగా ఆమెను కుప్పలుగా వేయండి. ఆమెను నాశనం చేయండి. ఆమెలో ఏదీ మిగల్చకుండా నాశనం చేయండి.
27 Slay all her kine, they go down to slaughter, Woe [is] on them, for come hath their day, The time of their inspection.
౨౭ఆమె యెడ్లన్నిటినీ చంపండి. వధశాలకు వాటిని పంపండి. అయ్యో, వాళ్ళకు బాధ. వాళ్ళ దినం, వాళ్ళ శిక్షాకాలం వచ్చింది.
28 A voice of fugitives and escaped ones [Is] from the land of Babylon, To declare in Zion the vengeance of Jehovah our God, The vengeance of His temple.
౨౮వినండి. బబులోనులో నుండి తప్పించుకుని పారిపోతున్న వాళ్ళ శబ్దం వినిపిస్తుంది. సీయోను విషయంలోనూ, తన మందిరం విషయంలోనూ మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రతీకారాన్ని ప్రకటించండి.
29 Summon unto Babylon archers, all treading the bow, Encamp against her round about, Let [her] have no escape; Recompense to her according to her work, According to all that she did — do to her, For unto Jehovah she hath been proud, Unto the Holy One of Israel.
౨౯“బబులోనుకు రమ్మని బాణాలు వేసే వాళ్ళను పిలవండి. తమ విల్లును వంచే వాళ్ళందరినీ పిలవండి. మీరు దాని చుట్టూ శిబిరం వేయండి. ఎవర్నీ తప్పించుకోనీయవద్దు. ఆమె చేసిన దానికి ప్రతిఫలం ఆమెకు చెల్లించండి. ఆమె చేసిన పనులను బట్టి ఆమెకూ చేయండి. ఎందుకంటే ఆమె ఇశ్రాయేలు పరిశుద్ధుడైన యెహోవాను అవమానించింది.
30 Therefore fall do her young men in her broad places, And all her men of war are cut off in that day, An affirmation of Jehovah.
౩౦కాబట్టి ఆమె యువకులు పట్టణం వీధుల మూలల్లో పడిపోతారు. ఆమె కోసం యుద్ధం చేసే వీరులందరూ ఆ రోజున నాశనమౌతారు.” ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన.
31 Lo, I [am] against thee, O pride, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah of Hosts, For thy day hath come, the time of thy inspection.
౩౧సేనల ప్రభువు అయిన యెహోవా ఇలా ప్రకటిస్తున్నాడు. “అహంకారీ, నేను నీకు విరోధంగా ఉన్నాను. నిన్ను శిక్షించే రోజూ, సమయమూ వచ్చాయి.
32 And stumbled hath pride, And he hath fallen, and hath no raiser up, And I have kindled a fire in his cities, And it hath devoured all round about him.
౩౨అహంకారి తడబడి కింద పడతాడు. వాణ్ణి ఎవరూ పైకి లేపరు. నేను అతడి పట్టణాల్లో అగ్ని రాజేస్తాను. అతని చుట్టూ ఉన్నదాన్ని అది మింగి వేస్తుంది.”
33 Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: Oppressed are the sons of Israel, And the sons of Judah together, And all their captors have kept hold on them, They have refused to send them away.
౩౩సేనల ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు, యూదా వారితో పాటు అణచివేతకు గురయ్యారు. వాళ్ళను చెర పట్టిన వాళ్ళందరూ వాళ్ళని ఇంకా పట్టుకునే ఉన్నారు. వాళ్ళను విడిచి పెట్టడానికి ఒప్పుకోవడం లేదు.
34 Their Redeemer [is] strong, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name, He doth thoroughly plead their cause, So as to cause the land to rest, And He hath given trouble to the inhabitants of Babylon.
౩౪వాళ్ళను విడుదల చేసే వాడు శక్తి గలిగిన వాడు. ఆయన పేరు సేనల ప్రభువైన యెహోవా. భూమికి విశ్రాంతి కలగజేయడానికీ, బబులోను నివాసుల్లో కలహం పుట్టించడానికీ ఆయన తన ప్రజల పక్షం వహిస్తాడు.”
35 A sword [is] for the Chaldeans, An affirmation of Jehovah, And it [is] on the inhabitants of Babylon, And on her heads, and on her wise men;
౩౫ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన. “కల్దీయులకూ. బబులోను నివాసులకూ వాళ్ళ నాయకులకూ, వాళ్ళల్లో జ్ఞానులకూ విరోధంగా ఒక కత్తి వస్తూ ఉంది.
36 A sword [is] on the princes, And they have become foolish; A sword [is] on her mighty ones, And they have been broken down;
౩౬తమను తాము మూర్ఖుల్లా కనపరచుకోడానికి వాళ్ళలో జ్యోతిష్యం చెప్పే వాళ్ళకి విరోధంగా ఒక కత్తి వస్తూ ఉంది. సైనికులు భయకంపితులు అయ్యేలా ఒక కత్తి వాళ్ళకు విరోధంగా వస్తూ ఉంది.
37 A sword [is] on his horses and on his chariot, And on all the rabble who [are] in her midst, And they have become women; A sword [is] on her treasuries, And they have been spoiled;
౩౭వాళ్ళ గుర్రాలకూ, రథాలకూ, బబులోనులో ఉన్న వాళ్ళందరికీ విరోధంగా ఒక కత్తి వస్తూ ఉంది. అందుచేత వాళ్ళు స్త్రీల వలే బలహీనులౌతారు. ఆమె గిడ్డంగులకు విరోధంగా ఒక కత్తి వస్తూ ఉంది. వాటిని దోచుకుంటారు.
38 A sword [is] on her waters, and they have been dried up, For it [is] a land of graven images, And in idols they do boast themselves.
౩౮ఒక కత్తి ఆమె నీళ్ళకు విరోధంగా వస్తూ ఉంది. ఊటలు ఇంకి పోయి నీటిఎద్దడి ఏర్పడుతుంది. ఎందుకంటే అది పనికిమాలిన విగ్రహాలున్న దేశం. ఈ భయంకరమైన విగ్రహాలను బట్టి ప్రజలు పిచ్చివాళ్ళలా ప్రవర్తిస్తారు.
39 Therefore dwell do Ziim with Iim, Yea, dwelt in her have daughters of the ostrich, And it is not inhabited any more for ever, Nor dwelt in unto all generations.
౩౯కాబట్టి నక్కలతో పాటు ఎడారి జంతువులు అక్కడ నివాసముంటాయి. అక్కడే నిప్పుకోళ్ళూ నివసిస్తాయి. ఇకమీదట అది ఎప్పుడూ నివాస స్థలంలా ఉండదు. తరతరాల్లో అక్కడ ఎవరూ నివసించరు.”
40 As overthrown by God with Sodom, And with Gomorrah, and with its neighbours, An affirmation of Jehovah, none doth dwell there, Nor sojourn in her doth a son of man.
౪౦ఇది యెహోవా చేస్తున్న ప్రకటన. “దేవుడు సొదొమనూ గొమొర్రానూ వాటి చుట్టూ ఉన్న పట్టణాలనూ శిక్షించినప్పుడు జరిగినట్టే ఇప్పుడూ జరుగుతుంది. అక్కడ ఎవరూ నివసించరు. ఆ పట్టణంలో ఎవరూ కాపురముండరు.
41 Lo, a people hath come from the north, Even a great nation, And many kings are stirred up from the sides of the earth.
౪౧ప్రజలు ఉత్తర దిక్కునుండి వస్తున్నారు. దూరప్రాంతంలోని ఒక గొప్ప జనం, అనేకమంది రాజులూ ఉత్సాహంగా వస్తూ ఉన్నారు.
42 Bow and halbert they seize, Cruel [are] they, and they have no mercy, Their voice as a sea soundeth, and on horses they ride, Set in array as a man for battle, Against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
౪౨వాళ్ళు వింటినీ, బల్లేలనూ పట్టుకుని వస్తున్నారు. వాళ్ళు క్రూరులు. వాళ్ళలో కనికరం లేదు. వాళ్ళ స్వరం సముద్రపు ఘోషలా ఉంది. బబులోను కుమారీ, వాళ్ళు యుద్ధ వీరుల్లా బారులు తీరి తమ గుర్రాలపై వస్తున్నారు.
43 Heard hath the king of Babylon their report, And feeble have been his hands, Distress hath seized him; pain as a travailing woman.
౪౩బబులోను రాజు వాళ్ళను గూర్చిన సమాచారం విన్నాడు. భయంతో అతని చేతులు చచ్చుబడి పోయాయి. ప్రసవించ బోయే స్త్రీకి కలిగే వేదన లాంటిది అతనికి కలిగింది.
44 Lo, as a lion he cometh up, Because of the rising of the Jordan, Unto the enduring habitation, But I cause to rest, I cause them to run from off her. And who is chosen? on her I lay a charge, For who [is] like Me? And who doth convene Me? And who [is] this shepherd who standeth before Me?
౪౪చూడండి! యొర్దాను ఉన్నత ప్రదేశం నుండి నిరంతరం నిలిచే పచ్చిక భూమిలోకి వచ్చే సింహంలా ఆయన వస్తున్నాడు. ఆ సింహాన్ని ఎదుర్కోలేక వాళ్ళు వెంటనే పారిపోయేలా చేస్తాను. దానికి అధికారిగా నేను ఎంపిక చేసిన వాణ్ణి నియమిస్తాను. నేనెవరిని ఏర్పరుస్తానో వాణ్ణి దాని మీద నియమిస్తాను. నాలాటి వాడెవడు? నన్ను ఆక్షేపించే వాడెవడు? నన్ను ఎదిరించగల కాపరి ఏడీ?
45 Therefore, hear ye the counsel of Jehovah, That He counselled concerning Babylon, And His devices that He hath devised Concerning the land of the Chaldeans; Drag them out do not little ones of the flock, Doth He not make desolate over them the habitation?
౪౫బబులోనును గూర్చి యెహోవా చేసిన ఆలోచన వినండి. కల్దీయుల దేశాన్ని గూర్చి ఆయన ఉద్దేశించినది వినండి. నిశ్చయంగా మందలోని అల్పులైన వారిని వారు లాగుతారు. నిశ్చయంగా వారిని బట్టి వారు నివసించిన ప్రదేశం నిర్ఘాంతపోతుంది.
46 From the voice: Captured was Babylon, Hath the earth been shaken, And a cry among nations hath been heard!
౪౬బబులోనును ఆక్రమించుకుంటున్నారు అనే వార్త విని భూమి కంపిస్తున్నది. జనాల్లో అంగలార్పు వినబడుతున్నది.”
