Jeremiah 23
1 Woe to shepherds destroying, And scattering the flock of My pasture, An affirmation of Jehovah.
౧“నా మందలో చేరిన గొర్రెలను నాశనం చేస్తూ చెదరగొట్టే కాపరులకు బాధ.” ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
2 Therefore, thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Against the shepherds who feed My people, Ye have scattered My flock, and drive them away, And have not inspected them, Lo, I am charging on you the evil of your doings, An affirmation of Jehovah.
౨ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడు యెహోవా తన ప్రజలను మేపే కాపరులను గురించి ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు. “మీరు నా గొర్రెలను చెదరగొట్టి వెళ్ళగొట్టారు. మీరు వాటిని అసలేమీ పట్టించుకోలేదు. మీరు చేసిన చెడ్డ పనులను బట్టి మిమ్మల్ని శిక్షిస్తాను. ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
3 And I do gather the remnant of My flock Out of all the lands whither I drove them, And have brought them back unto their fold, And they have been fruitful, and multiplied.
౩నేను వాటిని తోలి వేసిన దేశాలన్నిటిలో నుంచి మిగిలిన నా గొర్రెలను దగ్గరికి చేరుస్తాను. వాటి మేత భూములకు వాటిని రప్పిస్తాను. అవి వృద్ధి చెంది విస్తరిస్తాయి.
4 And I have raised for them shepherds, And they have fed them, And they fear no more, nor are affrighted, Nor are they lacking — an affirmation of Jehovah.
౪నేను వాటి మీద కాపరులను నియమిస్తాను. ఇకనుంచి అవి భయపడకుండా, బెదరి పోకుండా, వాటిలో ఒకటైనా తప్పిపోకుండా వారు నా గొర్రెలను మేపుతారు. ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.”
5 Lo, days are coming — an affirmation of Jehovah, And I have raised to David a righteous shoot, And a king hath reigned and acted wisely, And done judgment and righteousness in the earth.
౫యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు “రాబోయే రోజుల్లో నేను దావీదుకు నీతి అనే చిగురు పుట్టిస్తాను. ఆయన రాజుగా పాలిస్తాడు. ఆయన సౌభాగ్యం తెస్తాడు. భూమి మీద నీతి న్యాయాలను జరిగిస్తాడు.
6 In his days is Judah saved, and Israel dwelleth confidently, And this his name that Jehovah proclaimeth him, 'Our Righteousness.'
౬ఆయన రోజుల్లో యూదాకు విడుదల వస్తుంది. ఇశ్రాయేలు నిర్భయంగా నివసిస్తుంది. ‘యెహోవా మనకు నీతి’ అని అతనికి పేరు పెడతారు.”
7 Therefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Jehovah, And they do not say any more, Jehovah liveth who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,
౭కాబట్టి రాబోయే రోజుల్లో ప్రజలు “ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను ఐగుప్తు దేశంలో నుంచి రప్పించిన యెహోవా జీవం తోడు” అని ఇకపై ప్రమాణం చెయ్యరు.
8 But — Jehovah liveth, who brought up, And who brought in, the seed of the house of Israel, From the land of the north, And from all the lands whither I drove them, And they have dwelt on their own ground!
౮“ఉత్తర దేశంలో నుంచి, నేను వారిని చెదరగొట్టిన దేశాలన్నిటిలో నుంచి వారిని రప్పించిన యెహోవానైన నా తోడు” అని ప్రమాణం చేస్తారు. వాళ్ళు తమ దేశంలో నివసిస్తారు అని యెహోవా చెబుతున్నాడు.
9 In reference to the prophets: Broken hath been my heart in my midst, Fluttered have all my bones, I have been as a man — a drunkard, And as a man — wine hath passed over him, Because of Jehovah, and of His holy words.
౯ప్రవక్తల గూర్చిన సమాచారం. యెహోవా గురించి, ఆయన పరిశుద్ధమైన మాటలను గురించి నా గుండె నాలో పగిలిపోయింది. నా ఎముకలన్నీ వణికి పోతున్నాయి. నేను మత్తు మందు సేవించినవాడిలా అయ్యాను. ద్రాక్షమద్యం వశమైన వాడిలా అయ్యాను.
10 For of adulterers hath the land been full, For because of these hath the land mourned, Dried up hath been the pleasant places of the wilderness, And their course is evil, and their might — not right.
౧౦దేశం వ్యభిచారులతో నిండిపోయింది. వారిని బట్టే దేశం దుఃఖిస్తూ ఉంది. ఎడారిలో పచ్చిక మైదానాలు ఎండిపోయాయి. ప్రవక్తలు చెడ్డగా ప్రవర్తిస్తున్నారు. తమ బలాన్ని సరిగా వాడడం లేదు.
11 For both prophet and priest have been profane, Yea, in My house I found their wickedness, An affirmation of Jehovah.
౧౧ప్రవక్తలూ యాజకులూ పాడైపోయారు. నా ఆలయంలో కూడా వాళ్ళ దుర్మార్గం నేను చూశాను. ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
12 Therefore is their way to them as slippery places, Into thick darkness they are driven, And they have fallen in it, For I bring in against them evil, The year of their inspection, An affirmation of Jehovah.
౧౨కాబట్టి చీకట్లో వాళ్ళ దారి జారిపోయే నేలలాగా ఉంటుంది. వాళ్ళను గెంటేస్తారు. వాళ్ళు దానిలో పడిపోతారు. వాళ్ళను శిక్షించే సంవత్సరంలో వాళ్ళ మీదికి విపత్తు రప్పిస్తాను. ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
13 And in prophets of Samaria I have seen folly, They have prophesied by Baal, And cause my people — Israel — to err.
౧౩సమరయ ప్రవక్తల మధ్య నేరం చూశాను. వాళ్ళు బయలు దేవుడి పేర ప్రవచనం చెప్పి నా ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలను దారి తప్పించారు.
14 And in prophets of Jerusalem I have seen a horrible thing, Committing adultery, and walking falsely, Yea, they strengthened the hands of evil doers, So that they have not turned back Each from his wickedness, They have been to me — all of them — as Sodom, And its inhabitants as Gomorrah.
౧౪యెరూషలేము ప్రవక్తల మధ్య ఘోరమైన పనులు నేను చూశాను. వాళ్ళు వ్యభిచారులు. మోసంలో నడుస్తున్నారు. వాళ్ళు దుర్మార్గుల చేతులను బలపరుస్తున్నారు! ఎవడూ తన దుర్మార్గం విడిచిపెట్టడం లేదు. వాళ్ళంతా నా దృష్టికి సొదొమ ప్రజల్లాగా మారారు. యెరూషలేము నివాసులు గొమొర్రా ప్రజల్లాగా మారారు.
15 Therefore, thus said Jehovah of Hosts, concerning the prophets: Lo, I am causing them to eat wormwood, And have caused them to drink water of gall, For, from prophets of Jerusalem Hath profanity gone forth to all the land.
౧౫కాబట్టి సేనల ప్రభువు యెహోవా ఈ ప్రవక్తలను గురించి చెప్పేదేమిటంటే, యెరూషలేము ప్రవక్తల అపవిత్రత దేశమంతా వ్యాపించింది. కాబట్టి వాళ్లకు తినడానికి చేదుకూరలూ తాగడానికి విషజలం నేను వారికిస్తాను.
16 Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: Ye do not hearken unto the words Of the prophets who are prophesying to you, They are making you vain things, A vision of their own heart they speak, Not from the mouth of Jehovah.
౧౬సేనల ప్రభువు యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు. “మీకు ప్రవచనాలు ప్రకటించే ప్రవక్తల మాటలు వినవద్దు. వాళ్ళు మిమ్మల్ని భ్రమపెట్టారు! వాళ్ళు యెహోవా నోటి నుంచి వచ్చినవి కాక తమ సొంత మనస్సులోని దర్శనాలను ప్రకటిస్తున్నారు.”
17 Saying diligently to those despising The word of Jehovah: Peace is for you, And [to] every one walking in the stubbornness of his heart they have said: Evil doth not come in unto you.
౧౭“మీకు శాంతిక్షేమాలు కలుగుతాయని యెహోవా చెబుతున్నాడు” అని నన్ను తృణీకరించే వాళ్ళతో అదే పనిగా చెబుతున్నారు. “మీ మీదికి ఏ కీడూ రాదు” అని తన హృదయ మూర్ఖత ప్రకారం నడుచుకునే ప్రతివారూ చెబుతున్నారు.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of Jehovah, And seeth and heareth His word? Who hath regarded My word, and hearkeneth?
౧౮అయితే యెహోవా మాట విని గ్రహించడానికి వాళ్ళలో ఆయన సభలో ఎవరు నిలబడ్డారు? ఆయన మాట ఎవరు విని పట్టించుకున్నారు?
19 Lo, a whirlwind of Jehovah — Fury hath gone out, even a piercing whirlwind, On the head of the wicked it stayeth.
౧౯ఇదిగో యెహోవా ఆగ్రహం తుఫానులాగా బయలుదేరింది. అది తీవ్రమైన సుడిగాలిలాగా దుర్మార్గుల తల మీదికి విరుచుకుపడుతుంది.
20 The anger of Jehovah doth not turn back Till His doing, and till His establishing, The thoughts of His heart, In the latter end of the days ye attend to it With understanding.
౨౦తన మనస్సులోని ఆలోచనలను నెరవేర్చి సాధించే వరకూ యెహోవా కోపం చల్లారదు. చివరి రోజుల్లో ఈ విషయం మీరు బాగా తెలుసుకుంటారు.
21 I have not sent the prophets, and they have run, I have not spoken unto them, and they have prophesied.
౨౧“నేను ఈ ప్రవక్తలను పంపలేదు. అయినా వాళ్ళు వచ్చారు. నేను వాళ్ళతో మాట్లాడలేదు. అయినా వాళ్ళు ప్రవచించారు.
22 But — if they stood in My counsel, Then they cause My people to hear My words, And they turn them back from their evil way, And from the evil of their doings.
౨౨ఒకవేళ వాళ్ళు నా సలహా మండలిలో నిలబడి ఉంటే, వాళ్ళు నా మాటలు నా ప్రజలకు తెలియజేసే వాళ్ళే. వాళ్ళ చెడ్డ మాటల నుంచి, వాళ్ళ దుర్మార్గపు అలవాట్ల నుంచి వాళ్ళను తప్పించి ఉండే వాళ్ళే.”
23 A God near [am] I — an affirmation of Jehovah, And not a God afar off?
౨౩యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమిటంటే “నేను దగ్గరలో మాత్రమే ఉన్న దేవుడినా? దూరంగా ఉన్న దేవుణ్ణి కానా?
24 Is any one hidden in secret places, And I see him not? an affirmation of Jehovah, Do not I fill the heavens and the earth? An affirmation of Jehovah.
౨౪నాకు కనబడకుండా రహస్య స్థలాల్లో ఎవరైనా దాక్కోగలరా? అని యెహోవా అడుగుతున్నాడు. నేను భూమ్యాకాశాల్లో ఉన్నాను కదా? ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.”
25 I have heard that which the prophets said, Who prophesy in My name falsehood, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed.'
౨౫“నా పేర మోసపు మాటలు ప్రవచించే ప్రవక్తల మాటలు నేను విన్నాను. ‘నాకు కల వచ్చింది! నాకు కల వచ్చింది’ అని వాళ్ళు చెబుతున్నారు.”
26 Till when is it in the heart of the prophets? The prophets of falsehood, Yea, prophets of the deceit of their heart,
౨౬ఎంతకాలం ఇలా జరగాలి? ప్రవక్తలు తమ మనస్సులో నుంచి అబద్ధాలు ప్రవచిస్తున్నారు. తమ హృదయాల్లోని మోసంతో ప్రవచిస్తున్నారు.
27 Who are devising to cause My people To forget My name by their dreams, That they recount each to his neighbour, As their fathers forgot my name for Baal.
౨౭బయలు దేవతను పూజిస్తూ తమ పూర్వీకులు నా పేరును మరచిపోయినట్టు ప్రతివాడూ తమ పొరుగు వారితో చెప్పే కలలతో నా ప్రజలు నా పేరును మరచిపోవాలని ఆలోచిస్తున్నారు.
28 The prophet with whom [is] a dream, Let him recount the dream, And he with whom [is] My word, Let him truly speak My word. What — to the straw with the corn? An affirmation of Jehovah.
౨౮కల కనిన ప్రవక్త ఆ కలను చెప్పవచ్చు. అయితే ఎవడికి నేను నా వాక్కు వెల్లడించానో అతడు దాన్ని నమ్మకంగా చెప్పవచ్చు. ధాన్యంతో పొట్టుకు ఏం సంబంధం? ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.
29 Is it not thus? My word [is] as a fire, An affirmation of Jehovah. And as a hammer — it breaketh in pieces a rock.
౨౯“నా మాట అగ్ని వంటిది కాదా? బండను బద్దలు చేసే సుత్తి లాంటిది కాదా?
30 Therefore, lo, I [am] against the prophets, An affirmation of Jehovah, Stealing My words each from his neighbour.
౩౦కాబట్టి ఒకడి దగ్గర నుంచి మరొకడు నా మాటలను దొంగిలించే ప్రవక్తలకు నేను విరోధిని.” ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
31 Lo, I [am] against the prophets, An affirmation of Jehovah, Who are making smooth their tongue, And they affirm — an affirmation.
౩౧“సొంత మాటలు పలుకుతూ వాటినే దేవోక్తులుగా ప్రకటించే ప్రవక్తలకు నేను విరోధిని.” ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
32 Lo, I [am] against the prophets of false dreams, An affirmation of Jehovah, And they recount them, and cause my people to err, By their falsehoods, and by their instability, And I — I have not sent them, Nor have I commanded them, And they are not at all profitable to this people, An affirmation of Jehovah.
౩౨“మోసపు కలలను పలికే వాళ్లకు నేను విరోధిని. వాళ్ళు అబద్ధాలు చెబుతూ మోసంతో గొప్పలు చెప్పుకుంటూ నా ప్రజలను తప్పుదారి పట్టిస్తున్నారు.” ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు. “నేను వాళ్ళను పంపలేదు, వారికి ఆజ్ఞ ఇవ్వలేదు, వాళ్ళ వలన ఈ ప్రజలకు ఏమాత్రం ప్రయోజనం లేదు.” ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.
33 And when this people, or the prophet, Or a priest, doth ask thee, saying, What [is] the burden of Jehovah? Then thou hast said unto them: Ye [are] the burden, and I have left you, An affirmation of Jehovah.
౩౩ఈ ప్రజలు గానీ ప్రవక్త గానీ యాజకుడు గానీ నిన్ను “యెహోవా సందేశం ఏమిటి?” అని అడిగితే నువ్వు వారితో ఇలా చెప్పు. “ఏ సందేశం? నేను మిమ్మల్ని వదిలేశాను.” ఇది యెహోవా సందేశం.
34 And the prophet, and the priest, and the people, That saith, The burden of Jehovah, I have seen after that man, and after his house.
౩౪“ఇదే యెహోవా సందేశం” అని ప్రవక్త గానీ యాజకుడు గానీ ప్రజలు గానీ అంటే, అతన్నీ అతని కుటుంబాన్నీ శిక్షిస్తాను.
35 Thus do ye say each unto his neighbour, And each unto his brother: What hath Jehovah answered? And what hath Jehovah spoken?
౩౫అయితే “యెహోవా జవాబేమిటి? యెహోవా ఏం చెప్పాడు?” అని మీరు మీ పొరుగువారితో మీ సోదరులతో చెప్పాలి.
36 And the burden of Jehovah ye do not mention any more, For the burden to each is — His word, And ye have overturned the words of the living God, Jehovah of Hosts, our God.
౩౬“యెహోవా సందేశం” అనే మాట మీరికమీదట పలకవద్దు. ఎందుకంటే ఎవడి మాట వాడికి సందేశం అవుతుంది. జీవంగల మన దేవుని మాటలను, సేనల అధిపతి అయిన యెహోవా దేవుని మాటలను, మీరు తారుమారు చేశారు.
37 Thus dost thou say unto the prophet What hath Jehovah answered thee? And what hath Jehovah spoken?
౩౭మీరు మీ ప్రవక్తతో ఇలా చెప్పాలి. “యెహోవా నీకేం జవాబు చెప్పాడు? యెహోవా ఏం చెప్పాడు?”
38 And if the burden of Jehovah ye say, Therefore thus said Jehovah: Because of your saying this word, The burden of Jehovah, And I do send unto you, saying, Ye do not say, The burden of Jehovah.
౩౮అయితే మీరు “ఇది యెహోవా సందేశం” అని చెబితే యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు. “ఇది యెహోవా సందేశం” అని మీరు చెప్పకూడదని నేను మీకు ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చినా మీరు యెహోవా సందేశం అంటున్నారు.
39 Therefore, lo, I — I have taken you utterly away, And I have sent you out, And the city that I gave to you, And to your fathers, from before My face,
౩౯కాబట్టి నేను మిమ్మల్ని ఏరి నా దగ్గర నుంచి పారవేస్తాను. మీకూ మీ పూర్వీకులకూ నేనిచ్చిన పట్టణాన్నీ పారవేస్తాను.
40 And I have put on you reproach age-during, And shame age-during that is not forgotten!
౪౦ఎప్పటికీ నిలిచి ఉండే నిందనూ అవమానాన్నీ మీ మీదికి రప్పిస్తాను.
