Ezekiel 8

1 And it cometh to pass, in the sixth year, in the sixth [month], in the fifth of the month, I am sitting in my house, and elders of Judah are sitting before me, and fall on me there doth a hand of the Lord Jehovah,

Y aconteció en el sexto año, en el mes sexto, a los cinco del mes, que yo estaba sentado en mi casa, y los ancianos de Judá estaban sentados delante de mí, y allí cayó sobre mí la mano del Señor Jehová.

2 and I look, and lo, a likeness as the appearance of fire, from the appearance of His loins and downward — fire, and from His loins and upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of copper.

Y miré, y he aquí una semejanza que parecía de fuego: desde donde parecían sus lomos para abajo, era fuego; y desde sus lomos arriba parecía como un resplandor, como la vista de un ámbar.

3 And He putteth forth a form of a hand, and taketh me by a lock of my head, and lift me up doth a spirit between the earth and the heavens, and it bringeth me in to Jerusalem in visions of God, unto the opening of the inner gate that is facing the north, where [is] the seat of the figure of jealousy that is making jealous,

Y aquella semejanza extendió la mano, y tomóme por las guedejas de mi cabeza; y el espíritu me alzó entre el cielo y la tierra, y llevóme a Jerusalem en visiones de Dios, a la entrada de la puerta de adentro que mira hacia el aquilón, donde estaba la habitación de la imagen del zelo, la que hacía zelar.

4 and lo, there the honour of the God of Israel, as the appearance that I saw in the valley.

Y he aquí que allí estaba la gloria del Dios de Israel, como la visión que yo había visto en el campo.

5 And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes the way of the north.' And I lift up mine eyes the way of the north, and lo, on the north of the gate of the altar this figure of jealousy, at the entrance.

Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, alza ahora tus ojos camino del aquilón. Y alcé mis ojos camino del aquilón, y he aquí al aquilón, junto a la puerta del altar, la imagen del zelo en la entrada.

6 And He saith unto me, 'Son of man, art thou seeing what they are doing? the great abominations that the house of Israel are doing here, to keep far off from My sanctuary; and again thou dost turn, thou dost see great abominations.'

Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, ¿no ves lo que estos hacen: las grandes abominaciones que la casa de Israel hace aquí para alejarme de mi santuario? mas vuélvete aun, y verás abominaciones mayores.

7 And He bringeth me in unto an opening of the court, and I look, and lo, a hole in the wall;

Y llevóme a la entrada del patio, y miré, y he aquí un agujero que estaba en la pared.

8 and He saith unto me, 'Son of man, dig, I pray thee, through the wall;' and I dig through the wall, and lo, an opening.

Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, cava ahora en la pared. Y cavé en la pared, y he aquí una puerta.

9 And He saith to me, 'Go in, and see the evil abominations that they are doing here.'

Y díjome: Entra, y ve las malas abominaciones que estos hacen allí.

10 And I go in, and look, and lo, every form of creeping thing, and detestable beast — and all the Idols of the house of Israel — graved on the wall, all round about,

Y entré, y miré, y he aquí imágenes de todas serpientes y animales: la abominación, y todos los ídolos de la casa de Israel, que estaban pintados en la pared al derredor.

11 and seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel — and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing in their midst — are standing before them, and each his censer in his hand, and the abundance of the cloud of perfume is going up.

Y setenta varones de los ancianos de la casa de Israel, y Jezonías, hijo de Safán, estaba en medio de ellos, los cuales estaban delante de ellos, cada uno con su incensario en su mano; y espesura de niebla del sahumerio que subía.

12 And He saith unto me, 'Hast thou seen, son of man, that which elders of the house of Israel are doing in darkness, each in the inner chambers of his imagery, for they are saying, Jehovah is not seeing us, Jehovah hath forsaken the land?'

Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, ¿has visto las cosas que los ancianos de la casa de Israel hacen en tinieblas, cada uno en las cámaras de su pintura? Porque dicen: No nos ve Jehová: Jehová ha dejado la tierra.

13 And He saith unto me, 'Again thou dost turn, thou dost see great abominations that they are doing.'

Y díjome: Vuélvete aun, verás abominaciones mayores, que hacen estos.

14 And He bringeth me in unto the opening of the gate of the house of Jehovah that [is] at the north, and lo, there the women are sitting weeping for Tammuz.

Y llevóme a la entrada de la puerta de la casa de Jehová, que está al aquilón; y he aquí mujeres que estaban allí sentadas endechando a Tammuz.

15 And He saith unto me, 'Hast thou seen, son of man? again thou dost turn, thou dost see greater abominations than these.'

Y díjome: ¿No ves, hijo del hombre? Vuélvete aun, verás abominaciones mayores que estas.

16 And He bringeth me in unto the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and lo, at the opening of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, about twenty-five men, their backs toward the temple of Jehovah, and their faces eastward, and they are bowing themselves eastward to the sun.

Y metióme en el patio de adentro de la casa de Jehová; y he aquí junto a la entrada del templo de Jehová, entre la entrada y el altar, como veinte y cinco varones, sus traseras vueltas al templo de Jehová, y sus rostros al oriente, y se encorvaban al nacimiento del sol.

17 And He saith unto me, 'Hast thou seen, son of man? hath it been a light thing to the house of Judah to do the abomination that they have done here, that they have filled the land with violence, and turn back to provoke Me to anger? and lo, they are putting forth the branch unto their nose!

Y díjome: ¿No has visto, hijo del hombre? ¿Es cosa liviana para la casa de Judá hacer las abominaciones que hacen aquí? después que han henchido la tierra de maldad, y se tornaron a irritarme, he aquí que ponen hedor a sus narices.

18 And I also deal in fury, Mine eye doth not pity, nor do I spare, and they have cried in Mine ears — a loud voice — and I do not hear them.'

Pues también yo haré en mi furor, no perdonará mi ojo, ni tendré misericordia; y gritarán a mis oídos con gran voz, y no los oiré.
