1 John 2
1 My little children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin: and if any one may sin, an advocate we have with the Father, Jesus Christ, a righteous one,
Hijitos míos, estas cosas os escribo, para que no pequéis; y si alguno hubiere pecado, un abogado tenemos para con el Padre, a Jesu Cristo el Justo:
2 and he — he is a propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world,
Y él es la propiciación por nuestros pecados; y no solamente por los nuestros, mas también por los de todo el mundo.
3 and in this we know that we have known him, if his commands we may keep;
Y por esto sabemos que nosotros le hemos conocido, si guardamos sus mandamientos.
4 he who is saying, 'I have known him,' and his command is not keeping, a liar he is, and in him the truth is not;
El que dice: Yo le he conocido, y no guarda sus mandamientos, el tal es mentiroso, y no hay verdad en él.
5 and whoever may keep his word, truly in him the love of God hath been perfected; in this we know that in him we are.
Mas el que guarda su palabra, el amor de Dios es verdaderamente perfecto en él: por esto sabemos que estamos en él.
6 He who is saying in him he doth remain, ought according as he walked also himself so to walk.
El que dice que está en él, debe andar como él anduvo.
7 Brethren, a new command I write not to you, but an old command, that ye had from the beginning — the old command is the word that ye heard from the beginning;
Hermanos, no os escribo un mandamiento nuevo, sino el mandamiento antiguo, que habéis tenido desde el principio: el mandamiento antiguo es la palabra que habéis oído desde el principio.
8 again, a new command I write to you, which thing is true in him and in you, because the darkness doth pass away, and the true light doth now shine;
Otra vez os escribo un mandamiento nuevo, que es la verdad en él, y en vosotros; porque las tinieblas están pasando, y la verdadera luz ya alumbra.
9 he who is saying, in the light he is, and his brother is hating, in the darkness he is till now;
El que dice que está en la luz, y aborrece a su hermano, el tal aun está en tinieblas todavía.
10 he who is loving his brother, in the light he doth remain, and a stumbling-block in him there is not;
El que ama a su hermano, está en la luz, y no hay escándalo en él.
11 and he who is hating his brother, in the darkness he is, and in the darkness he doth walk, and he hath not known whither he doth go, because the darkness did blind his eyes.
Empero el que aborrece a su hermano, está en tinieblas, y anda en tinieblas, y no sabe donde se va; porque las tinieblas le han cegado los ojos.
12 I write to you, little children, because the sins have been forgiven you through his name;
Hijitos, os escribo que vuestros pecados os son perdonados por causa de su nombre.
13 I write to you, fathers, because ye have known him who [is] from the beginning; I write to you, young men, because ye have overcome the evil. I write to you, little youths, because ye have known the Father:
Padres, os escribo que habéis conocido a aquel que es desde el principio. Mancebos, os escribo que habéis vencido al maligno. Hijitos, os escribo que habéis conocido al Padre.
14 I did write to you, fathers, because ye have known him who [is] from the beginning; I did write to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God in you doth remain, and ye have overcome the evil.
Padres, os he escrito que habéis conocido al que es desde el principio. Mancebos, yo os escribí que sois fuertes, y que la palabra de Dios mora en vosotros, y que habéis vencido al maligno.
15 Love not ye the world, nor the things in the world; if any one doth love the world, the love of the Father is not in him,
No améis al mundo, ni las cosas que están en el mundo. Si alguno ama al mundo, el amor del Padre no está en él.
16 because all that [is] in the world — the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the life — is not of the Father, but of the world,
Porque todo lo que hay en el mundo, que es concupiscencia de la carne, y concupiscencia de los ojos, y soberbia de la vida, no es del Padre, mas es del mundo.
17 and the world doth pass away, and the desire of it, and he who is doing the will of God, he doth remain — to the age. (aiōn g165)
Y el mundo se pasa, y su concupiscencia; mas el que hace la voluntad de Dios, permanece para siempre. (aiōn g165)
18 Little youths, it is the last hour; and even as ye heard that the antichrist doth come, even now antichrists have become many — whence we know that it is the last hour;
Hijitos, ya es la postrera hora; y como vosotros habéis oído que el anticristo ha de venir, así también al presente han comenzado a ser muchos anticristos, por lo cual sabemos que ya es la postrimera hora.
19 out of us they went forth, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but — that they might be manifested that they are not all of us.
Ellos salieron de entre nosotros, mas no eran de nosotros; porque si fueran de nosotros, hubieran cierto permanecido con nosotros; empero esto es para que se manifestase que todos no son de nosotros.
20 And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and have known all things;
Mas vosotros tenéis la unción del Santo, y conocéis todas las cosas.
21 I did not write to you because ye have not known the truth, but because ye have known it, and because no lie is of the truth.
No os he escrito, como si ignoraseis la verdad, mas como a los que la conocéis, y que ninguna mentira es de la verdad.
22 Who is the liar, except he who is denying that Jesus is the Christ? this one is the antichrist who is denying the Father and the Son;
¿Quién es mentiroso, sino el que niega que Jesús es el Cristo? éste es el anticristo, que niega al Padre, y al Hijo.
23 every one who is denying the Son, neither hath he the Father, [he who is confessing the Son hath the Father also.]
Cualquiera que niega al Hijo, este tal tampoco tiene al Padre. ( Empero ) cualquiera que confiesa al Hijo, tiene también al Padre.
24 Ye, then, that which ye heard from the beginning, in you let it remain; if in you may remain that which from the beginning ye did hear, ye also in the Son and in the Father shall remain,
Pues lo que habéis oído desde el principio, sea permaneciente en vosotros; porque si lo que habéis oído desde el principio fuere permaneciente en vosotros, también vosotros permaneceréis en el Hijo, y en el Padre.
Y esta es la promesa, la cual él nos prometió, que es vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
26 These things I did write to you concerning those leading you astray;
Estas cosas os he escrito tocante a los que os engañan.
27 and you, the anointing that ye did receive from him, in you it doth remain, and ye have no need that any one may teach you, but as the same anointing doth teach you concerning all, and is true, and is not a lie, and even as was taught you, ye shall remain in him.
Empero la unción que vosotros habéis recibido de él, mora en vosotros; y no tenéis necesidad que ninguno os enseñe; mas como la unción misma os enseña de todas cosas, y es verdadera, y no es mentira, así como os ha enseñado, perseverád en él.
28 And now, little children, remain in him, that when he may be manifested, we may have boldness, and may not be ashamed before him, in his presence;
Y ahora, hijitos, perseverád en él; para que cuando apareciere, tengamos confianza, y no seamos confundidos por él en su venida.
29 if ye know that he is righteous, know ye that every one doing the righteousness, of him hath been begotten.
Si sabéis que él es justo, sabéd también que cualquiera que hace justicia, es nacido de él.
