Numbers 33

1 These ben the dwellyngis of the sones of Israel, that yeden out of the lond of Egipt, bi her cumpenyes, in the hond of Moises and of Aaron;

No skal eg nemna dei staderne der Israels-folket tok læger på ferdi si, då Moses og Aron førde flokkarne deira burt frå Egyptarland.

2 whiche dwellyngis Moises discriuede bi the places of tentis, that weren chaungid bi comaundement of the Lord.

For kvar gong dei tok ut ifrå lægret, skreiv Moses upp kvar dei var, so som Herren hadde sagt med honom, og her er namni på lægerstaderne deira etter som dei for fram.

3 Therfor the sones of Israel yeden forth in `an hiy hond fro Ramesses, in the firste monethe, in the fiftenthe dai of the firste monethe, in the tother dai of pask, while alle Egipcians sien,

Femtande dagen i fyrste månaden tok Israels-sønerne ut frå Ra’amses, påskedagen for dei i veg med tråss i hugen, midt for augo på alle egyptarane;

4 and birieden the firste gendrid children, whiche the Lord hadde slayn; for the Lord hadde take veniaunce also on the goddis `of hem.

egyptarane heldt då på og jorda alle sine frumborne, deim som Herren hadde slege i hel; for Herren hadde halde dom yver gudarne deira.

5 `The sones of Israel settiden tentis in Socoth,

Då Israels-sønerne hadde fare frå Ramses, lægra dei seg fyrst i Sukkot.

6 and fro Sochoth thei camen into Etham, which is in the laste coostis of `the wildirnesse; fro thennus thei yeden out,

So tok dei ut frå Sukkot, og lægra seg i Etam, ytst utmed øydemarki.

7 and camen ayens Phiayroth, whiche biholdith Beelsephon, and settiden tentis bifor Magdalun.

So tok dei ut frå Etam, men sidan snudde dei um, og tok vegen til Pi-Hakhirot, som ligg midt imot Ba’al-Sefon, og dei lægra seg framanfor Migdol.

8 And thei yeden forth fro Phiairoth, and passiden bi the myddil see in to the wildirnesse, and thei yeden thre daies bi the deseert of Ethan, and settiden tentis in Mara.

So tok dei ut frå Pi-Hakhirot, og for tvert igjenom havet til øydemarki, og då dei hadde fare tri dagar i Etammarki, lægra dei seg i Mara.

9 And thei yeden forth fro Mara, and camen in to Helym, where weren twelue wellis of watir, and seuenti palm trees; and there thei settiden tentis.

So tok dei ut frå Mara, og kom til Elim. I Elim var det tolv vatskjeldor og sytti palmetre, og dei lægra seg der.

10 But also thei yeden out fro thennus, and settiden tentis on the Reed See. And thei yeden forth fro the Reed See,

So tok dei ut frå Elim, og lægra seg ved Raudehavet.

11 and settiden tentis in the deseert of Syn,

So tok dei ut frå Raudehavet, og lægra seg i Sinheidi.

12 fro whennus thei yeden out, and camen in to Depheca.

So tok dei ut frå Sinheidi, og lægra seg i Dofka.

13 And thei yeden forth fro Depheca, and settiden tentis in Haluys.

So tok dei ut frå Dofka, og lægra seg i Alus.

14 And thei yeden forth fro Haluys, and settiden tentis in Raphidyn, where watir failide to `the puple to drinke.

So tok dei ut frå Alus, og lægra seg i Refidim; men der fanst det ikkje vatn so folket kunde få drikka.

15 And thei yeden forth fro Raphidyn, and settiden tentis in the deseert of Synai.

So tok dei ut frå Refidim, og lægra seg i Sinaiheidi.

16 But also thei yeden out of the wildirnesse of Synay, and camen to the Sepulcris of Coueitise.

So tok dei ut frå Sinaiheidi, og lægra seg i Kibrot-Hatta’ava.

17 And thei yeden forth fro the Sepulcris of Coueytise, and settiden tentis in Asseroth.

So tok dei ut frå Kibrot-Hatta’ava, og lægra seg i Haserot.

18 And fro Asseroth thei camen in to Rethma.

So tok dei ut frå Haserot, og lægra seg i Ritma.

19 And thei yeden forth fro Rethma, and settiden tentis in Remon Phares;

So tok dei ut frå Ritma, og lægra seg i Rimmon-Peres.

20 fro whennus thei yeden forth, and camen in to Lemphna.

So tok dei ut frå Rimmon-Peres, og lægra seg i Libna.

21 And fro Lemphna thei settiden tentis in Ressa.

So tok dei ut frå Libna, og lægra seg i Rissa.

22 And thei yeden out fro Ressa, and camen into Celatha;

So tok dei ut frå Rissa, og lægra seg i Kehelata.

23 fro whennus thei yeden forth, and settiden tentis in the hil of Sepher.

So tok dei ut frå Kehelata, og lægra seg innmed Seferfjellet.

24 Thei yeden out fro the hil of Sepher, and camen in to Arada;

So tok dei ut frå Seferfjellet, og lægra seg i Harada.

25 fro thennus thei yeden forth, and settiden tentis in Maceloth.

So tok dei ut frå Harada, og lægra seg i Makhelot.

26 And thei yeden forth fro Maceloth, and camen in to Caath.

So tok dei ut frå Makhelot, og lægra seg i Tahat.

27 Fro Caath thei settiden tentis in Thare;

So tok dei ut frå Tahat, og lægra seg i Tarah.

28 fro whennus thei yeden out, and settiden tentis in Methcha.

So tok dei ut frå Tarah, og lægra seg i Mitka.

29 And fro Methcha thei settiden tentis in Esmona.

So tok dei ut frå Mitka, og lægra seg i Hasmona.

30 And thei yeden forth fro Asmona, and camen in to Moseroth;

So tok dei ut frå Hasmona, og lægra seg i Moserot.

31 and fro Moseroth thei settiden tentis in Benalachan.

So tok dei ut frå Moserot, og lægra seg i Bene-Ja’akan.

32 And thei yeden forth fro Benalachan, and camen in to the hil of Galgad;

So tok dei ut frå Bene-Ja’akan, og lægra seg i Hor-Hagidgad.

33 fro whennus thei yeden forth, and settiden tentis in Jethebacha.

So tok dei ut frå Hor-Hagidgad, og lægra seg i Jotbata.

34 And fro Jethebacha thei camen in to Ebrona.

So tok dei ut frå Jotbata, og lægra seg i Abrona.

35 And thei yeden out fro Ebrona, and settiden tentis in Asiongaber;

So tok dei ut frå Abrona, og lægra seg i Esjon-Geber.

36 fro thennus thei yeden forth, and camen in to deseert of Syn; this is Cades.

So tok dei ut frå Esjon-Geber, og lægra seg i Sinheidi, i Kades.

37 And thei yeden fro Cades, and thei settiden tentis in the hil of Hor, in the laste coostis of the lond of Edom.

So tok dei ut frå Kades, og lægra seg attmed Horfjellet, i landskilet med Edom.

38 And Aaron, the preest, stiede in to the hil of Hor, for the Lord comaundide, and there he was deed, in the fourti yeer of the goyng out of the sones of Israel fro Egipt, in the fyuethe monethe, in the firste dai of the monethe;

Og Aron, øvstepresten, gjekk upp på Horfjellet, som Herren hadde sagt med honom, og der døydde han i det fyrtiande året etter Israels-sønerne hadde teke ut frå Egyptarlandet, fyrste dagen i femte månaden.

39 whanne he was of an hundrid and thre and twenti yeer.

Aron var hundrad og tri og tjuge år gamall då han døydde på Horfjellet.

40 And Chanaan, kyng of Arad, that dwellide at the south, in the lond of Canaan, herde that the sones of Israel camen.

Men den kananitiske kongen som budde i Arad, i sørluten av Kana’an, fekk høyra at Israels-sønerne kom;

41 And thei yeden forth fro the hil of Hor, and settiden tentis in Salmona;

då tok dei ut frå Horfjellet, og lægra seg i Salmona.

42 fro thennus thei yeden forth, and camen in to Phynon.

So tok dei ut frå Salmona, og lægra seg i Punon.

43 And thei yeden forth fro Phynon, and settiden tentis in Oboth.

So tok dei ut frå Punon, og lægra seg i Obot.

44 And fro Oboth thei camen in to Neabarym, `that is, into the wildirnesse of Abarym, which is in the endis of Moabitis.

So tok dei ut frå Obot, og lægra seg i Ijje-ha-Abarim i landskilet med Moab.

45 And thei yeden forth fro Neabarym, and thei settiden tentis in Dibon of Gad;

So tok dei ut frå Ijjim, og lægra seg i Dibon-Gad.

46 fro whennus thei yeden forth, and settiden tentis in Helmon of Deblathaym.

So tok dei ut frå Dibon-Gad, og lægra seg i Almon-Diblataima.

47 And thei yeden out fro Helmon of Deblathaym, and camen to the hillis of Abarym, ayens Nabo.

So tok dei ut frå Almon-Diblataima, og lægra seg i Abarimfjelli, austanfor Nebo.

48 And thei yeden forth fro the hillis of Abarym, and passiden to the feeldi places of Moab, ouer Jordan, ayens Jericho.

So tok dei ut frå Abarimfjelli, og lægra seg på Moabmoarne ved Jordanelvi der ho renn frammed Jeriko;

49 And there thei settiden tentis, fro Bethsymon `til to Belsathym, in the pleynere places of Moabitis,

lægret deira låg langs med Jordan, og rakk frå Bet-ha-Jesjimot til Abel-hasj-sjittim på Moabmoarne.

50 where the Lord spak to Moises,

Og Herren tala til Moses på Moabmoarne ved Jordan, midt for Jeriko, og sagde:

51 Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel, and seie thou to hem, Whanne ye han passid Jordan, and han entrid in to the lond of Canaan,

«Tala til Israels-sønerne, og seg til deim: «Når de fer yver Jordan og kjem til Kana’ans-landet,

52 distrie ye alle the dwelleris of that cuntrey; breke ye the titlis, `that is, auteris, and dryue ye to poudre the ymagis, and distrie ye alle heiy thingis,

so skal de driva ut deim som bur der i landet, og knasa alle bilætsteinarne deira, og slå sund alle gudelikjendi dei hev støypt seg, riva ned alle hovi.

53 and clense ye the lond, and alle men dwellynge thereynne. For Y yaf to

De skal eigna til dykk landet, og setja dykk ned der; for dykk hev eg gjeve det landet til odel og eiga.

54 you that lond into possessioun whiche ye schulen departe to you bi lot; to mo men ye schulen yyue largere lond, and to fewere men streytere lond, as lot fallith to alle men, so eritage schal be youun; possessioun schal be departid bi lynagis and meynees.

De skal skifta det millom dykk etter ætter, og draga strå um bygderne. Den som hev mykje folk, skal de gjeva mykje jord, og den som hev lite folk mindre. Kvar skal få den eigedomen som strået hans kjem ut med. Etter ætterne de høyrer til skal landet bytast millom dykk.

55 But if ye nylen sle the dwelleris of the lond, thei, that abiden, schulen be to you as nailes in the iyen, and speris in the sidis, `that is, deedli aduersaries; and thei schulen be aduersaries to you in the lond of youre abitacioun;

Men driv de deim ikkje ut, dei som no bur i landet, so skal dei som de sparer verta tornar i augo og broddar i sidorne dykkar, og dei skal plåga dykk i dykkar eige land.

56 and what euer thing Y thouyte to do `to hem, Y schal do to you.

Og det som eg hadde sett meg fyre å gjera med deim, det skal eg då gjera med dykk.»»
