Amos 8

1 The Lord God schewide to me these thingis; and lo! an hook of applis.

Se konsa, Seyè a, Bondye a, fè m' fè yon lòt vizyon. Nan vizyon an, mwen wè yon panyen plen fwi mi.

2 And the Lord seide, What seist thou, Amos? And Y seide, An hook of applis. And the Lord seide to me, The ende is comun on my puple Israel; Y schal no more putte to, that Y passe bi hym.

Seyè a mande m': -Kisa ou wè la a, Amòs? Mwen reponn: -Yon panyen fwi mi. Lè sa a, Seyè a di m' konsa: -Izrayèl, pèp mwen an, mi tou. Li rive sou dènye jou l' yo. Mwen p'ap chanje lide pou m' fè pa l' ankò.

3 And the herris, ether twistis, of the temple schulen greetli sowne in that dai, seith the Lord God. Many men schulen die, silence schal be cast forth in ech place.

Jou sa a, se p'ap chante ki va gen nan palè a, se va rèl. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa. Va gen anpil kadav toupatou. Y'a voye yo jete san di krik.

4 Here ye this thing, whiche al to-breken a pore man, and maken nedi men of the lond for to faile;

Koute byen sa m'ap di nou la a, nou menm k'ap kraze pòv malere yo anba pye nou, nou menm k'ap fini ak malere yo nan peyi a.

5 and ye seien, Whanne schal heruest passe, and we schulen sille marchaundises? and the sabat, and we schulen opene wheete? that we make lesse the mesure, and encreesse the cicle, and `vndur put gileful balauncis;

N'ap plede di: Kilè fèt lalin nouvèl lan va pase pou nou ka vann diri nou? Kilè jou repo a va pase pou nou ka louvri depo nou yo pou nou vann? Lè sa a, n'a moute pri tout bagay, n'a sèvi ak fo mezi, n'a ranje balans yo pou nou ka twonpe pratik yo.

6 that we welde bi siluer nedi men and pore men for schoon, and we sille outcastyngis of wheete?

N'a pran moun serye ki pa ka peye dèt yo, n'a achte yo pou sèvi esklav. N'a pran pòv malere ki pa gen senk, n'a achte yo pou pri yon pè sapat. N'a vann ata pay diri a pou gwo lajan.

7 The Lord swoor ayens the pride of Jacob, Y schal not foryete til to the ende alle the werkis of hem.

Seyè a fè sèman sou tèt li, li menm ki Bondye pèp Izrayèl la: Mwen p'ap janm bliye yonn nan move zak nou fè yo.

8 Whether on this thing the erthe schal not be mouyd togidere, and eche dwellere therof schal mourene? And it schal stie vp as al the flood, and schal be cast out, and schal flete awei as the stronde of Egipt.

Se konsa latè pral pran tranble. Tout moun nan peyi a pral pran rele. Tout peyi a pral souke. L'ap moute, l'ap gonfle, apre sa l'ap desann tankou dlo larivyè Nil nan peyi Lejip.

9 And it schal be, seith the Lord, in that dai the sunne schal go doun in myddai, and Y schal make the erthe for to be derk in the dai of liyt.

Men pawòl Seyè a, Bondye a: Jou sa a, m'ap fè solèy la kouche gwo midi. Fènwa ap tonbe sou peyi a gwo lajounen.

10 And Y schal conuerte youre feeste daies in to mourenyng, and alle youre songis in to weilyng; and Y schal brynge yn on ech bac of you a sak, and on ech heed of you ballidnesse; and Y schal put it as the mourenyng of oon bigetun sone, and the laste thingis therof as a bittir dai.

M'ap fè nou sispann fè fèt. N'a nan gwo lapenn. M'ap fè nou sispann chante, n'a nan rele. M'ap fè nou mete rad sak kòlèt sou nou. N'a kale tèt nou. M'ap fè nou tonbe nan lapenn tankou moun k'ap kriye pou sèl pitit gason yo ki mouri. Se nan kè sere jounen sa a ap fini pou tout moun.

11 Lo! the daies comen, seith the Lord, and Y schal sende out hungur in to erthe; not hungur of breed, nether thirst of watir, but of herynge the word of God.

Men yon jou gen pou rive. Jou sa a, mwen pral voye yon sèl grangou sou peyi a. Se p'ap dèyè pen pou yo manje, ni dèyè dlo pou yo bwè y'a kouri. Men, se mesaj ki soti nan bouch Seyè a y'a anvi tande. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.

12 And thei schulen be mouyd to gidere fro the see til to the see, and fro the north til to the eest thei schulen cumpasse, sekynge the word of the Lord, and thei schulen not fynde.

Lè sa a, moun va pran kouri soti nan n o al nan sid, soti nan lès al nan lwès. Y'a mache toupatou ap chache yon pawòl nan bouch Seyè a. Men, yo p'ap jwenn.

13 In that dai faire maidens schulen faile, and yonge men in thirst, whiche sweren in trespas of Samarie,

Nan tan sa a, bèl jenn fi yo ak jenn gason yo va tonbe feblès paske yo p'ap jwenn sa y'ap pwonmennen chache a.

14 and seien, Dan, thi god lyueth, and the weie of Bersabee lyueth; and thei schulen falle, and thei schulen no more rise ayen.

Kanta pou moun k'ap fè sèman sou Achima, zidòl peyi Samari a, moun sa yo k'ap plede di: Anverite bondye Dann lan! Anverite bondye Bècheba a! yo gen pou yo tonbe pou yo pa janm ka leve ankò.
