2 Timothy 4
1 I witnesse bifore God and Crist Jhesu, that schal deme the quike and the deed, and bi the comyng of hym, and the kyngdom of hym,
| אני מצווה עליך לפני אלוהים ולפני אדוננו ישוע המשיח, אשר ישפוט את החיים ואת המתים בבואו ובמלכותו: |
2 preche the word, be thou bisi couenabli with outen rest, repreue thou, biseche thou, blame thou in al pacience and doctryn.
| הטף את דבר האלוהים בכל עת – בכל הזדמנות שבאה לידך, בין אם זה נוח או לא. הוכח, הזהר ותקן את אנשיך כשיש צורך בכך; עודד אותם לעשות את הטוב ולמד אותם בסבלנות את דבר ה׳. |
3 For tyme schal be, whanne men schulen not suffre hoolsum teching, but at her desiris thei schulen gadere `togidere to hem silf maistris yitchinge to the eeris.
| כי יבוא הזמן שהאנשים לא יקשיבו לאמת, ויחפשו מורים שילמדו אותם מה שהם רוצים לשמוע. |
4 And treuli thei schulen turne awei the heryng fro treuthe, but to fablis thei schulen turne.
| הם לא יקשיבו לדבר אלוהים, ויפנו בשמחה לאגדות ולשקרים. |
5 But wake thou, in alle thingis traueile thou, do the werk of an euangelist, fulfille thi seruyce, be thou sobre.
| אבל אתה שמור על קור רוחך, ואל תפחד לסבול למען האדון. הדרך אנשים אחרים לאמונה במשיח, ובצע את כל המוטל עליך על הצד הטוב ביותר. |
6 For Y am sacrifisid now, and the tyme of my departyng is nyy.
| אני אומר לך דברים אלה משום שלא נותר לי זמן רב להיות איתך. שעתי קרבה – תוך זמן קצר אעבור מן העולם הזה ואהיה בשמים. |
7 Y haue stryuun a good strijf, Y haue endid the cours, Y haue kept the feith.
| נלחמתי את המלחמה הטובה למען האדון, רצתי במרוץ הגדול ותמיד נשארתי נאמן לו. הגיעה העת שאנוח. |
8 In `the tothir tyme a coroun of riytwisnesse is kept to me, which the Lord, a iust domesman, schal yelde to me in that dai; and not oneli to me, but also to these that louen his comyng.
| עתה שמור לי בשמים כתר צדקה אשר האדון, שופט־הצדק, ייתן לי ביום שובו, ולא רק לי, כי אם לכל אלה שמצפים לשובו בכיליון עיניים. |
9 Hyye thou to come to me soone.
| אנא, בוא אלי במהירות האפשרית, |
10 For Demas, louynge this world, hath forsakun me, and wente to Tessalonyk, Crescens in to Galathi, Tite in to Dalmacie; (aiōn g165)
| כי דימס עזב אותי בגלל אהבתו לדברי העולם הזה, והלך לתסלוניקי. קריסקיס הלך לגלטיא, וטיטוס הלך לדלמטיה. (aiōn g165) |
11 Luk aloone is with me. Take thou Mark, and brynge with thee; for he is profitable to me in to seruyce.
| רק לוקס נמצא איתי. הבא איתך את מרקוס, כי אני זקוק לעזרתו. |
12 Forsothe Y sente Titicus to Effesi.
| (גם טוכיקוס איננו כאן, כי שלחתיו לאפסוס). |
13 The cloth which Y lefte at Troade at Carpe, whanne thou comest, bringe with thee, and the bookis, but moost parchemyne.
| אנא, הבא איתך את מעילי אשר השארתי אצל אחינו קרפוס בטרואס, ואת הספרים, והחשוב ביותר – את כתבי הקלף. |
14 Alisaundre, the tresorer, schewide to me myche yuele; `the Lord schal yelde to hym aftir his werkis.
| אלכסנדרוס חרש הנחושת עולל לי רעות רבות. ישלם לו אלוהים כגמולו. |
15 Whom also thou eschewe; for he ayenstood ful greetli oure wordis.
| היזהר ממנו, כי הוא מתנגד בחריפות לכל מה שאנחנו מאמינים. |
16 In my firste defence no man helpide me, but alle forsoken me; be it not arettid to hem.
| כשהביאו אותי למשפט בפעם הראשונה, איש לא היה כאן כדי לעזור לי; כולם ברחו להם. (אני מקווה שאלוהים לא ישפוט אותם על כך). |
17 But the Lord helpide me, and coumfortide me, that the preching be fillid bi me, and that alle folkis here, that Y am delyueride fro the mouth of the lioun.
| אך האדון חיזק אותי ועזר לי, כדי שאוכל להטיף את הבשורה באומץ לכל העולם, ובכך הצילני מלוע הארי. |
18 And the Lord delyueride me fro al yuel werk, and schal make me saaf in to his heuenly kingdom, to whom be glorie in to worldis of worldis. (aiōn g165)
| אכן, האדון יצילני תמיד מכל רע ויביאני אל מלכותו בשמים. לאלוהים הכבוד לעולם ועד. – אמן. (aiōn g165) |
19 Amen. Grete wel Prisca, and Aquila, and the hous of Oneseforus.
| אנא, מסור דרישת־שלום בשמי לפריסקה, לעקילס ולאלה שגרים בביתו של אוניסיפורוס. |
20 Erastus lefte at Corynthi, and Y lefte Trofymus sijk at Mylete.
| ארסטוס נשאר בקורינתוס, ואת טרופימוס השארתי חולה במיליטוס. |
21 Hiye thou to come bifore wyntir. Eubolus, and Prudent, and Lynus, and Claudia, and alle britheren, greten thee wel.
| השתדל לבוא לכאן לפני בוא החורף. אובולוס, פודיס, לינוס, קלודיה וכל האחים דורשים בשלומך. |
22 Oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with thi spirit. The grace of God be with you. Amen.
| אדוננו ישוע המשיח יברך אותך ויהיה עם רוחך. – אמן. |
