2 Kings 18
1 In the thridde yeer of Osee, sone of Hela, kyng of Israel, regnyde Ezechie, sone of Achaz, kyng of Juda.
१आणि एलाचा मुलगा होशे, जो इस्राएलाचा राजा, याच्या तिसऱ्या वर्षी यहूदाचा राजा आहाज याचा मुलगा हिज्कीया राज्य करू लागला.
2 He was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde in Jerusalem nyne and twenti yeer; the name of his modir was Abisa, douyter of Zacharie.
२हिज्कीया पंचवीस वर्षाचा होता जेव्हा तो राज्य करू लागला. आणि त्याने यरूशलेमामध्ये एकोणतीस वर्षे राज्य केले. याच्या आईचे नाव अबी. ही जखऱ्याची मुलगी होती.
3 And he dide that, that was good bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis, which Dauid, his fadir, hadde do.
३परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टीने जे चांगले ते तो करीत असे, आपला पूर्वज दावीद करीत असे त्याप्रमाणे हिज्कीयाही सर्वकाही करत असे.
4 And he distriede hiye places, and al to-brak ymagis, and kittide doun wodis, and he brak the brasun serpent, whom Moyses hadde maad; for `til to that tyme the sones of Israel brenten encense to it; and he clepide the name therof Noestam.
४त्याने उंचस्थानावरील पूजास्थळे नष्ट करून टाकली. तसेच स्मृतीस्तंभ, आणि अशेराचे खांबही तोडून टाकले. त्याने मोशेने केलेल्या पितळी सापाचे तुकडे केले कारण त्या दिवसांमध्ये इस्राएलाचे लोक त्यास धूप जाळत असत. ते त्यास “नहुश्तान” असे म्हणत.
5 And he hopide in the Lord God of Israel; therfor aftir hym noon was lijk hym of alle the kyngis of Juda, but `and nether in tho kyngis that weren bifor hym.
५इस्राएलचा देव परमेश्वर ह्यांच्यावर हिज्कीयाने भरवसा ठेवला होता, म्हणून त्याच्यासारखा राजा यहूदाच्या राजांमध्ये त्याच्याआधी किंवा त्याच्यानंतरही झाला नाही.
6 And he cleuyde to the Lord, and yede not awei fro hise steppis, and he dide the comaundementis of the Lord, whiche the Lord comaundide to Moises;
६तो परमेश्वरास धरून राहिला. त्यास अनुसरण्याचे त्याने सोडले नाही परमेश्वराने मोशेला दिलेल्या आज्ञांचे त्याने पालन केले.
7 wherfor and the Lord was with hym, and he gouernede wiseli hym silf in alle thingis, to whiche he yede forth. Also he rebellide ayens the kyng of Assiriens, and therfor he seruede not to `that kyng of Asseriens;
७म्हणून परमेश्वर त्याच्यासोबत होता, आणि जिकडे तो जाई तिथे त्याची उन्नती होई. त्याने अश्शूरच्या राजाविरुध्द बंड केले व त्यांची सेवा केली नाही.
8 and he smoot Philisteis `til to Gazam, and alle the termes of hem, fro the tour of keperis `til to a citee maad strong.
८त्याने गज्जा आणि त्याच्या सीमेपर्यंत पलिष्ट्यांचा पराभव केला. त्याने पहारेकऱ्यांच्या बुरूजा पासून तटबंदीच्या नगरापर्यंत त्यांना मारले.
9 In the fourthe yeer of kyng Ezechie, that was the seuenthe yeer of Osee, sone of Hela, kyng of Israel, Salmanazar, kyng of Assiriens, stiede to Samarie,
९आणि हिज्कीया राजाच्या चौथ्या वर्षी, म्हणजे इस्राएलाचा राजा, एलाचा मुलगा होशे ह्याच्या सातव्या वर्षी, असे झाले की अश्शूराचा राजा शल्मनेसर हा शोमरोनावर चढून आला व त्यास वेढा घातला.
10 and fauyt ayens it, and took it. For after thre yeer, in the sixte yeer of Ezechie, that is, in the nynthe yeer of Osee, kyng of Israel, Samarie was takun;
१०तीन वर्षांच्या अखेरीस त्याने ते घेतले. यहूदाचा राजा हिज्कीया याच्या सहाव्या वर्षी हे झाले. अर्थातच इस्राएलचा राजा एलाचा मुलगा होशे याच्या नवव्या वर्षी त्यांनी शोमरोन घेतले.
11 and the kyng of Assiriens translatide Israel in to Assiriens, and settyde hem in Haila, and in Habor, ryueris of Gozam, in the citees of Medeis;
११मग अश्शूरच्या राजाने इस्राएल लोकांस कैद करून अश्शूरला नेले. त्यांना त्याने हलहा येथे, गोजानमधील हाबोर नदीजवळ आणि माद्य नगरांमध्ये ठेवले.
12 for thei herden not the vois of her Lord God, but thei braken his couenaunt; thei herden not, nether diden alle thingis, whiche Moises, the seruaunt of the Lord, comaundide.
१२त्यांनी असे केले कारण इस्राएल लोकांनी परमेश्वर त्यांचा देव, ह्याचा शब्द पाळला नाही. तर त्याच्या कराराचा भंग केला, म्हणजे परमेश्वराचा सेवक मोशे याने जे आज्ञापिलेले होते ते त्यांनी जुमानले नाही व त्याची शिकवण ऐकली नाही.
13 In the fourtenthe yeer of kyng Ezechie, Senacherub, kyng of Assiryens, stiede to alle the strengthide citees of Juda, and took tho.
१३हिज्कीया राजा ह्याच्या चौदाव्या वर्षी, अश्शूरचा राजा सन्हेरीब याने यहूदातील सर्व तटबंदी नगरांवर हल्ला चढवून त्यांचा ताबा घेतला.
14 Thanne Ezechie, kyng of Juda, sente messangeris to the kyng of Assiriens in to Lachis, and seide, Y haue synned; go awei fro me, and Y schal bere `al thing, which thou schalt putte to me. Therfor the kyng of Asseriens puttide on Ezechie, kyng of Juda, thre hundrid talentis of siluer, and thretti talentis of gold.
१४तेव्हा यहूदाचा राजा हिज्कीया याने अश्शूराच्या राजाला लाखीश येथे निरोप पाठवला की, “माझ्याकडून अपराध झाला आहे, तर आता माझ्या पासून निघून जा. तू जे माझ्यावर लादशील ते मी सहन करीन.” यावर अश्शूराच्या राजाने यहूदाचा राजा हिज्कीया याला तिनशे किक्कार चांदी व तीस किक्कार सोने अशी खंडणी मागितली.
15 And Ezechie yaf al the siluer, that was foundun in the hows of the Lord, and in the kyngis tresories.
१५तेव्हा हिज्कीयाने परमेश्वराच्या घरात व राजाच्या राजवाड्यातील भांडारात असणारी सर्व चांदी त्यास दिली.
16 In that tyme Ezechie brak the yatis of the temple of the Lord, and the platis of gold, whiche he hadde fastned, and he yaf tho to the kyng of Assiriens.
१६मग हिज्कीयाने परमेश्वराच्या मंदिराचे दरवाजे आणि सोन्याच्या पल्याने मढवलेले खांब काढून घेतले आणि अश्शूरच्या राजाला हे सोने दिले.
17 Forsothe the kyng of Assiriens sente Thercha and Rabsaces fro Lachis to kyng Ezechie, with strong hond to Jerusalem; and whanne thei hadden stied, thei camen to Jerusalem, and stoden bisidis the water cundijt of the hiyere cisterne, which is in the weie of the fullere, `ethir toukere.
१७पण अश्शूरच्या राजाने तर्तान व रब-सारीस व रब-शाके यांना मोठ्या सैन्यासोबत लाखीशाहून यरूशलेमामध्ये हिज्कीया राजा कडे पाठवले. तेव्हा ते यरूशलेमेस चढून आले, आणि वरच्या तलावाच्या पाटाजवळ परिटाच्या शेताच्या रस्त्यावर उभे राहिले.
18 And thei clepiden the kyng; sotheli Eliachym, sone of Elchie, the souereyn of the hows, and Sobna, scryueyn, and Joahe, chaunseler, the sone of Asaph, yeden out to hem.
१८त्यांनी राजाला निरोप पाठवला तेव्हा, हिल्कीयाचा मुलगा एल्याकीम जो घरावरचा कारभारी, व शेबना चिटणीस आणि नोंदणी लेखक व आसाफचा मुलगा यवाह हे त्यांना भेटावयास पुढे आले.
19 And Rabsaces seide to hem, Speke ye to Ezechie, The grete kyng, the kyng of Assiriens, seith these thingis, What is this trist, in which thou enforsist?
१९तेव्हा रबशाके त्यांना म्हणाला, “अश्शूराचा महान राजा हिज्कीयास काय म्हणतो हे सांगा; तुझ्या आत्मविश्वासाविषयी कसली शिष्टता बाळगतोस?
20 In hap thou hast take counsel, that thou woldist make thee redi to batel. In whom tristist thou, that thou be hardi to rebelle?
२०तू म्हणतोस, लढाईसाठी पुरेशी मसलत आणि सामर्थ्य तुझ्याजवळ आहेत, परंतू ते केवळ पोकळ व अर्थहीन शब्द आहेत. आता तू कोणावर भरवसा ठेवतोस. माझ्याविरूद्ध बंड करण्यासाठी तुला कोणी धैर्य दिले आहे?
21 Whethir thou hopist in a `staf of rehed and brokun, Egipt, on which, if a man lenith, it schal be brokun, and schal entre in to hys hond, and schal peerse it? So is Farao, kyng of Egipt, to alle men that tristen on hym.
२१पाहा, तू ठेचलेल्या बोरूच्या काठीवर म्हणजे मिसर देशावर भरवसा ठेवतोस, अशा काठीवर कोणी मनुष्य विसंबून राहिला तर ती मोडून पडेल व हातात रुतेल. जे कोणी मिसराचा राजा फारो ह्यावर विश्वास ठेवतात त्या सर्वांना तो तसाच आहे.
22 That if thou seist to me, We han trist in `oure Lord God; whether this is not he, whos hiye thingis and auteris Ezechie took awei, and comaundide to Juda and to Jerusalem, Ye schulen worschipe bifor this auter in Jerusalem?
२२तू कदाचित् असे म्हणशील, आम्ही परमेश्वर देवावर भरवसा ठेवतो. पण हिज्कीयाने परमेश्वराची उंचस्थाने आणि वेद्या काढून टाकल्या आणि यहूदा व यरूशलेमेला म्हटले की, फक्त यरूशलेममधील याच वेदीपुढे आराधना करावी तोच तो आहे की नाही?
23 Now therfor passe ye to my lord, the kyng of Assiriens, and Y schal yyue to you twei thousynde of horsis, and se ye, whether ye moun haue rideris of `tho horsis?
२३तर आता अश्शूराचा राजा माझा धनी याच्यावतीने, तुझ्याकडे घोड्यांवर स्वार व्हायला माणसे असतील तर तुला दोन हजार घोडे देण्याचा चांगला प्रस्ताव मांडतो.
24 And hou moun ye withstonde bifor o prince of the leste seruauntis of my lord? Whether thou hast trist in Egipt, for charis and knyytis?
२४माझ्या स्वामीच्या सर्वात कनिष्ठ सेवकाचा देखील तू पराभव करु शकणार का? रथ आणि घोडेस्वार यांच्यासाठी तू मिसरवर अवलंबून आहेस.
25 Whether Y stiede with outen `Goddis wille to this place, that Y schulde distrie it? `The Lord seide to me, `Stie thou to this lond, and distrie thou it.
२५मी यरूशलेमचा संहार करायला चाल करून आलोय, तो काही परमेश्वराचा पाठिंबा असल्याशिवाय आलो काय? परमेश्वर मला म्हणाला, या देशावर स्वारी करून त्याचा पूर्ण पाडाव कर.”
26 Forsothe Eliachym, sone of Elchie, and Sobna, and Joahe, seiden to Rabsaces, We preien, that thou speke bi the langage of Sirie to vs, thi seruauntis; for we vndirstondun this langage; and that thou speke not to vs bi the langage of Juwis, while the puple herith, which is on the wal.
२६तेव्हा हिल्कीयाचा मुलगा एल्याकीम, शेबना आणि यवाह हे सेनापतीला म्हणाले, “तू आपल्या सेवकाशी अरामी भाषेत बोल. आम्हास ती भाषा कळते. आमच्याशी यहूदी भाषेत बोलू नको. कारण तटबंदीवरील लोक आपले बोलणे ऐकतील.”
27 And Rabsaces answeride, `and seide, Whethir my lord sente me to thi lord and to thee, that Y schulde speke these wordis, and not rather to the men `that sitten on the wal, that thei ete her toordis, and drynke her pisse with you?
२७पण रब-शाके त्यांना म्हणाला, “प्रभूने काही मला फक्त तुझ्याशी आणि तुझ्या राजाशी बोलायला पाठवलेले नाही, तटबंदीवरील लोकांशीही मी बोलतो आहे. तुमच्याबरोबरच त्यांनाही स्वत: चे मलमूत्र चाटायची वेळ येणार आहे.”
28 Therfor Rabsaces stood, and criede with greet vois bi langage of Jewis, and seide, Here ye the wordis of the greet kyng, the kyng of Assiriens.
२८मग रब-शाके यहूदी भाषेत मोठ्याने ओरडून म्हणाला, “अश्शूराचा थोर राजा काय म्हणतो ते ऐका”
29 The kyng seith these thingis, Ezechie disceyue not you, for he may not delyuere you fro myn hond;
२९राजा असे म्हणतो, हिज्कीयाच्या भूलथापांना बळी पडू नका. माझ्यापासून तो तुम्हास वाचवू शकणार नाही.
30 nether yyue he trist to you on the Lord, and seie, The Lord delyuerynge schal delyuere vs, and this citee shal not be bitakun in the hond of the kyng of Assiriens;
३०तो म्हणतो परमेश्वरावर विसंबून राहू नका. हिज्कीया तुम्हास सांगतो, परमेश्वर आपल्याला वाचवील. अश्शूराचा राजा आपल्या शहराचा पराभव करु शकणार नाही.
31 nyle ye here Ezechie. For the kyng of Assiriens seith these thingis, Do ye with me that, that is profitable to you, and go ye out to me; and eche man schal ete of his vyner, and of his fige tree, and ye schulen drynke watris of youre cisternes,
३१पण हिज्कीयाचे ऐकू नका. “कारण अश्शूराचा राजा म्हणतो माझ्याशी तह करा आणि माझ्याकडे या. तसे केलेत तर आपापल्या द्राक्षवेलीवरची, अंजिराच्या झाडावरची फळे तुम्हास खायला मिळतील. स्वत: च्या विहिरीचे पाणी प्यायला मिळेल.
32 til Y come, and translate you in to a lond which is lijk youre lond, in to a fruytful lond, and plenteuouse of wyn, a lond of breed, and of vineris, a lond of olyue trees, and of oile, and of hony; and ye schulen lyue, and ye schulen not die. Nyle ye here Ezechie, that disseyueth you, and seith, The Lord schal delyuere yow.
३२पुढे मी तुमच्या देशासारख्याच दुसऱ्या देशात, धान्याचा व द्राक्षरसाचा देश, अन्नाचा व द्राक्षीच्या मळ्याचा देश, जैतून तेलाचा व मधाचा देश यामध्ये मी तुम्हास घेऊन जाईपर्यंत तुम्ही असे वागा. तरच तुम्ही जगाल; मरणार नाही. आणि हिज्कीयाचे ऐकू नका. तो तुमचे हृदयपरिवर्तन करु पाहत आहे, ‘परमेश्वर आपल्याला वाचवेल’ असे तो म्हणतो.
33 Whether the goddis of hethene men delyueriden her lond fro the hond of the kyng of Assiriens?
३३इतर दैवतांनी आपले देश अश्शूराच्या राजाच्या तावडीतून सोडवले आहेत असे अजून झाले आहे काय? कधीच नाही.
34 Where is god of Emath, and of Arphat? Where is god of Sapharuaym, of Ana, and of Aua? Whether thei delyueriden Samarie fro myn hond?
३४कुठे आहेत हमाथ आणि अर्पद यांची दैवतं? सफरवाईम, हेना, इव्वा यांची दैवते कुठे गेले? त्यांनी शोमरोनचे माझ्यापासून रक्षण केले का?
35 For who ben thei in alle goddis of londis, that delyueriden her cuntrey fro myn hond, that the Lord may delyuere Jerusalem fro myn hoond?
३५इतर राष्ट्राच्या दैवतांनी आपापली भूमी माझ्यापासून सुरक्षित ठेवली का? नाही माझ्याकडून परमेश्वर यरूशलेम वाचवणार का?”
36 Therfor the puple was stille, and answeride not ony thing to hym; for thei hadden take comaundement of the kyng, that thei schulden not answere to hym.
३६पण लोक गप्पच होते. ते सेनापतीला काहीही बोलले नाहीत. कारण “त्यांनी काहीही उत्तर द्याचये नाही” अशी राजा हिज्कीयाची त्यांना आज्ञा होती.
37 And Eliachym, sone of Elchie, the souereyn of the hows, and Sobna, scryuen, and Joahe, chaunceler, the sone of Asaph, camen with to-rent clothis to Ezechie; and telden to hym the wordis of Rabsaces.
३७हिल्कीयाचा मुलगा एल्याकीम, जो राजवाड्याचा कारभारी, व चिटणीस शेबना आणि आसाफचा मुलगा यवाह हा नोंदी करणारा होता हे शोकाकुल होऊन आपली वस्त्रे फाडून हिज्कीयाकडे आले. अश्शूराचा सेनापती रब-शाके काय म्हणाला ते त्यांनी हिज्कीयाला सांगितले.
