Psalms 83

1 A song. A Psalm by Asaph. God, don’t keep silent. Don’t keep silent, and don’t be still, God.

۱ سرود و مزمور آساف ای خدا تو را خاموشی نباشد! ای خداساکت مباش و میارام!

2 For, behold, your enemies are stirred up. Those who hate you have lifted up their heads.

۲ زیرا اینک دشمنانت شورش می‌کنند و آنانی که از تو نفرت دارند، سر خود را برافراشته‌اند.

3 They conspire with cunning against your people. They plot against your cherished ones.

۳ بر قوم تو مکایدمی اندیشند وبر پناه آوردگان تو مشورت می‌کنند.

4 “Come,” they say, “let’s destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

۴ و می‌گویند: «بیایید ایشان را هلاک کنیم تا قومی نباشند و نام اسرائیل دیگر مذکور نشود.»

5 For they have conspired together with one mind. They form an alliance against you.

۵ زیرا به یک دل با هم مشورت می‌کنند و برضد تو عهد بسته‌اند.

6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;

۶ خیمه های ادوم واسماعیلیان و موآب و هاجریان.

7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

۷ جبال و عمون و عمالیق و فلسطین با ساکنان صور.

8 Assyria also is joined with them. They have helped the children of Lot. (Selah)

۸ آشور نیز باایشان متفق شدند و بازویی برای بنی لوطگردیدند، سلاه.

9 Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;

۹ بدیشان عمل نما چنانکه به مدیان کردی. چنانکه به سیسرا و یابین در وادی قیشون.

10 who perished at Endor, who became as dung for the earth.

۱۰ که در عیندور هلاک شدند و سرگین برای زمین گردیدند.

11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

۱۱ سروران ایشان را مثل غراب و ذئب گردان و جمیع امرای ایشان را مثل ذبح وصلمناع.

12 who said, “Let’s take possession of God’s pasture lands.”

۱۲ که می‌گفتند: «مساکن خدا را برای خویشتن تصرف نماییم.»

13 My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind.

۱۳ ‌ای خدای من، ایشان را چون غبار گردبادبساز و مانند کاه پیش روی باد.

14 As the fire that burns the forest, as the flame that sets the mountains on fire,

۱۴ مثل آتشی که جنگل را می‌سوزاند و مثل شعله‌ای که کوهها را مشتعل می‌سازد.

15 so pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm.

۱۵ همچنان ایشان را به تند بادخود بران و به طوفان خویش ایشان را آشفته گردان.

16 Fill their faces with confusion, that they may seek your name, LORD.

۱۶ رویهای ایشان را به ذلت پر کن تا نام تورا‌ای خداوند بطلبند.

17 Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever. Yes, let them be confounded and perish;

۱۷ خجل و پریشان بشوندتا ابدالاباد و شرمنده و هلاک گردند.

18 that they may know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.

۱۸ و بدانندتو که اسمت یهوه می‌باشد، به تنها بر تمامی زمین متعال هستی.
