Matthew 12
1 At that time, Yeshua went on the Sabbath day through the grain fields. His disciples were hungry and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
In jener Zeit ging Jesus an einem Sabbat durch die Ährenfelder. Seine Jünger waren hungrig; sie rupften Ähren ab und aßen sie.
2 But the Pharisees, when they saw it, said to him, “Behold, your disciples do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.”
Als die Pharisäer dies sahen, sagte sie zu ihm: "Sieh doch, deine Jünger tun, was am Sabbat verboten ist."
3 But he said to them, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him:
Doch er sprach zu ihnen: "Habt ihr denn nicht gelesen, was David tat, als er und seine Begleiter Hunger hatten?
4 how he entered into God’s house and ate the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
Wie er das Haus Gottes betrat und die Schaubrote aß, die weder er noch seine Begleiter essen durften, sondern nur die Priester?
5 Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath day the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless?
Oder habt ihr nicht im Gesetze gelesen, daß an den Sabbaten die Priester im Tempel auch den Sabbat brechen, und dennoch schuldlos bleiben?
6 But I tell you that one greater than the temple is here.
Ich sage euch: Hier ist noch etwas Größeres als der Tempel.
7 But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you wouldn’t have condemned the guiltless.
Wenn ihr es doch verstündet, was es heißt: 'Erbarmen will ich, keine Opfer', dann hättet ihr die Unschuldigen nicht verurteilt.
8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
Denn Herr des Sabbats ist der Menschensohn!"
9 He departed from there and went into their synagogue.
Von dort ging er weiter und kam in ihre Synagoge.
10 And behold, there was a man with a withered hand. They asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?” so that they might accuse him.
Und siehe, da war ein Mann mit einer verwelkten Hand. Sie fragten ihn: "Darf man am Sabbat heilen?" Sie wollten ihn nämlich verklagen.
11 He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won’t he grab on to it and lift it out?
Er fragte sie: "Wenn einer unter euch ein einziges Schaf besitzt und dieses am Sabbat in eine Grube fällt, wird er nicht sogleich danach langen und es wieder auf seine Füße stellen?
12 Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.”
Wie viel mehr wert ist aber im Vergleich zu einem Schaf der Mensch. Also darf man auch am Sabbat Gutes tun."
13 Then he told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out; and it was restored whole, just like the other.
Dann sprach er zu dem Manne: "Strecke deine Hand aus!" Da streckte er sie aus, und sie ward wiederhergestellt, gesund wie die andere.
14 But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how they might destroy him.
Die Pharisäer aber gingen weg und faßten gegen ihn den Beschluß, ihn umzubringen.
15 Yeshua, perceiving that, withdrew from there. Great multitudes followed him; and he healed them all,
Jesus wußte dies und zog sich von dort zurück. Viele folgten ihm, und er machte sie alle gesund.
16 and commanded them that they should not make him known,
Streng verbot er ihnen, ihn bekannt zu machen.
17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
So sollte sich erfüllen, was der Prophet Isaias sprach, der sagt:
18 “Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit on him. He will proclaim justice to the nations.
"Das ist mein Knecht, den ich erwählt, mein Liebling, meines Herzens Wonne. Ich lege meinen Geist auf ihn, er wird den Heiden das Recht verkünden.
19 He will not strive, nor shout, neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
Er wird nicht zanken und nicht schreien; noch wird man auf den Gassen seine Stimme hören.
20 He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a smoking flax, until he leads justice to victory.
Geknicktes Rohr zerbricht er nicht, den Docht, der nur noch glimmt, löscht er nicht aus, bis das Recht mit seinem Sieg beendet ist.
21 In his name, the nations will hope.”
Auf seinen Namen hoffen auch die Heiden."
22 Then one possessed by a demon, blind and mute, was brought to him; and he healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
Da brachte man ihm einen, der besessen war und blind und stumm zugleich. Er heilte ihn, so daß der Stumme wieder reden und sehen konnte.
23 All the multitudes were amazed, and said, “Can this be the son of David?”
Die Leute alle kamen außer sich und sprachen: "Sollte der nicht der Sohn Davids sein?"
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “This man does not cast out demons except by Beelzebul, the prince of the demons.”
Als dies die Pharisäer hörten, sprachen sie: "Nur durch Beelzebul, den obersten der Dämonen, treibt er die Dämonen aus."
25 Knowing their thoughts, Yeshua said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
Da er wußte, was sie dachten, sprach er zu ihnen: "Jedes Reich, das in sich uneins ist, zerfällt, und jede Stadt und jedes Haus, das in sich uneins ist, wird nicht bestehen bleiben.
26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
Und wenn der Satan den Satan austreiben würde, so wäre er ja in sich selber uneins. Wie könnte da sein Reich bestehen bleiben?
27 If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.
Wenn ich durch Beelzebul die Dämonen austreibe, durch wen treiben dann eure Söhne sie aus? Deshalb werden diese eure Richter sein.
28 But if I by the Spirit of God cast out demons, then God’s Kingdom has come upon you.
Wenn ich jedoch im Geiste Gottes die Dämonen austreibe, dann ist ja das Reich Gottes schon zu euch gekommen.
29 Or how can one enter into the house of the strong man and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man? Then he will plunder his house.
Oder wie könnte einer in das Haus des Starken eindringen und ihm seine Habseligkeiten rauben, wenn er den Starken nicht zuvor gebunden hat? Dann erst kann er sein Haus ausplündern.
30 “He who is not with me is against me, and he who doesn’t gather with me, scatters.
Wer nicht mit mir ist, ist gegen mich, und wer nicht mit mir sammelt, der zerstreut.
31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
So sage ich euch denn: Den Menschen wird jede Sünde und Lästerung vergeben werden; die Lästerung des Geistes jedoch wird nicht vergeben werden.
32 Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come. (aiōn g165)
Wer ein Wort sagt gegen den Menschensohn, dem wird vergeben werden; doch wer ein Wort sagt gegen den Heiligen Geist, dem wird nicht vergeben werden, in dieser Welt nicht und nicht in der kommenden. (aiōn g165)
33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit.
Entweder erklärt ihr den Baum für gut, dann ist auch seine Frucht gut, oder ihr erklärt den Baum für schlecht, dann ist auch seine Frucht schlecht; denn an der Frucht erkennt man den Baum.
34 You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Ihr Schlangenbrut! Wie könnt ihr Gutes reden, da ihr doch böse seid? Der Mund redet das, wovon das Herz voll ist.
35 The good man out of his good treasure brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.
Der gute Mensch bringt aus seinem guten Schatze Gutes hervor, der böse Mensch aus seinem bösen Schatze Böses.
36 I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
Indessen sage ich euch: Von jedem unnützen Worte, das die Menschen reden, werden sie am Tage des Gerichtes Rechenschaft ablegen müssen.
37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Aus deinen Worten nämlich wirst du für gerecht erklärt, aus deinen Worten aber auch verurteilt werden."
38 Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, “Rabbi, we want to see a sign from you.”
Da sagten zu ihm einige der Schriftgelehrten und der Pharisäer: "Meister, wir möchten ein Zeichen von dir sehen."
39 But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
Er gab ihnen zur Antwort: "Ein böses und ehebrecherisches Geschlecht verlangt ein Zeichen. Jedoch es wird ihm kein andres Zeichen gegeben als das Zeichen des Propheten Jonas.
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Wie nämlich Jonas drei Tage und drei Nächte im Bauche des Seetiers war, so wird auch der Menschensohn drei Tage und drei Nächte im Schoße der Erde sein.
41 The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, for they repented at the proclaiming of Jonah; and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.
Die Niniviten werden sich beim Gerichte zugleich mit diesem Geschlecht erheben und es verdammen. Denn diese haben sich bekehrt, als Jonas ihnen predigte, und siehe, hier ist mehr als Jonas.
42 The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and will condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, someone greater than Solomon is here.
Die Königin des Südens wird sich beim Gerichte zugleich mit diesem Geschlecht erheben und es verdammen. Sie kam von den Enden der Erde, die Weisheit Salomons zu hören, und siehe, hier ist mehr als Salomon.
43 “When an unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest, and doesn’t find it.
Wenn der unreine Geist aus dem Menschen ausgefahren ist, dann wandert er durch öde Gegenden, sucht eine Ruhestätte, findet aber keine.
44 Then he says, ‘I will return into my house from which I came;’ and when he has come back, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
Alsdann sagt er: 'Ich will in mein Haus zurück, aus dem ich ausgezogen bin.' Er kommt und findet es geleert, rein gefegt und geschmückt.
45 Then he goes and takes with himself seven other spirits more evil than he is, and they enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Even so will it be also to this evil generation.”
Dann geht er hin, nimmt noch sieben andre Geister mit sich, die schlimmer sind als er; sie ziehen ein und wohnen dort. Mit einem solchen Menschen wird es nachher schlimmer stehen, als vorher. So wird es diesem schändlichen Geschlecht ergehen."
46 While he was yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, seeking to speak to him.
Noch redete er zu den Scharen, da standen seine Mutter und seine Brüder draußen; sie wollten ihn sprechen.
47 One said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers stand outside, seeking to speak to you.”
Da sagte zu ihm irgendeiner: "Deine Mutter und deine Brüder stehen draußen; sie möchten dich gern sprechen."
48 But he answered him who spoke to him, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?”
Er antwortete dem, der es ihm gesagt hatte: "Wer ist denn meine Mutter, wer sind denn meine Brüder?"
49 He stretched out his hand toward his disciples, and said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
Dann zeigte er mit seiner Hand auf seine Jünger hin und sprach: "Seht, hier sind meine Mutter und meine Brüder.
50 For whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
Denn wer den Willen meines Vaters tut, der in den Himmeln ist, der ist mir Bruder, Schwester, Mutter."
