Habakkuk 2
1 I will stand at my watch and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
೧ನನ್ನ ಕೋವರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು. ಬುರುಜಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವೆನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳುವನೋ ನನ್ನ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯಾವ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೋ ಎಂದು ಎದುರುನೋಡುವೆನು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
2 The LORD answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.
೨ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಈ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು, “ನಿನಗಾದ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿಡು; ಓದುವವರು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಓದಲು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಹಲಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತಿಡು!
3 For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it, because it will surely come. It won’t delay.
೩ಸೂಕ್ತ ಹಾಗು ನಿಯಮಿತ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡದ್ದು ನೆರವೇರುವುದು, ಅದರ ಅಂತಿಮ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು. ತಡವಾದರೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾದಿರು; ಅದು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೈಗೂಡುವುದು.
4 Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
೪ಇಗೋ, ದುಷ್ಟನ ಅಂತರಾತ್ಮವು ತನ್ನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಿಂದ ಉಬ್ಬಿಹೋಗಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ, ನೀತಿವಂತನು ತನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಬದುಕುವನು.
5 Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples. (Sheol h7585)
೫ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಮದ್ಯಪಾನವು ಮೋಸಕರವಾದ ಕಾರಣ ದುಷ್ಟನನ್ನು ಮದವೇರಿಸುವುದು, ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಲು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಪಾತಾಳದಷ್ಟು ಅತಿ ಆಶೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೆರೇಪಿಸಿ ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನಂತೆ ಅತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವನು. ಯೆಹೋವನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಜೀವಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವನು. (Sheol h7585)
6 Won’t all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases that which is not his, and who enriches himself by extortion! How long?’
೬“ಆದರೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನ ದುರಾಶೆಯ ಪಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದವರು ಅವನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿದು ಗೇಲಿ, ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯದ ಲಾವಣಿ ಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿ ಹಾಡುವರು. ‘ಅನ್ಯರ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಡವಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುವವನ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನೆಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದು, ಅವನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವನು!’
7 Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?
೭ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿ ಸಾಲಪಡೆದವರೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು, ನಿನಗೆ ಬಾಕಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾದವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಲೂಟಿಮಾಡುವರು.
8 Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.
೮ನೀನು ಬಹು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದು, ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ, ಅವುಗಳ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿರುವೆ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುವರು.
9 Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!
೯‘ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ, ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ತನ್ನ ಗೂಡನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು, ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ಮೋಸದಿಂದ ದೋಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ;
10 You have devised shame to your house by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.
೧೦ನೀನು ಬಹು ಜನರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಕುಂಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನೇ ತಂದಂತಾಯಿತು, ನಿನಗೇ ನೀನೇ ಕೆಡುಕು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ.
11 For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it.
೧೧ಗೋಡೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸಿ ಕೂಗುವವು; ಚಾವಣಿಯ ತೊಲೆಗಳು ಸಹ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ದನಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತವೆ.’
12 Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!
೧೨‘ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನರಹತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟುವವನೂ, ಊರನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವವರ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
13 Behold, isn’t it from the LORD of Hosts that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?
೧೩ಜನರು ದುಡಿದದ್ದು ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾಗುವುದು, ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಜನರು ಪಟ್ಟ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮವು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ನುಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ; ಇದೆಲ್ಲ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನ ಚಿತ್ತವಷ್ಟೇ.
14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD’s glory, as the waters cover the sea.
೧೪ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು.’
15 “Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!
೧೫‘ನಿನ್ನ ರೋಷವನ್ನು ಪಾನಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆರಸಿ ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ಬೆತ್ತಲೆತನವನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಮಲೇರಿಸಿದವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
16 You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink and be exposed! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
೧೬ನೀನು ಮಾನವಂತನಲ್ಲ, ನಿನಗೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನವಲ್ಲಾ ಅವಮಾನ ಕಟ್ಟಿಟ್ಟ ಬುತ್ತಿ. ನೀನು ಕುಡಿ ಕುಡಿದು ನಗ್ನನಾಗು, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಬಲಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪದ ಕೊಡ ತುಂಬಿ ಅವಮಾನವೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲುವುದು.
17 For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals will terrify you, because of men’s blood and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.
೧೭ಲೆಬನೋನಿಗೆ ಆದಂಥ ಹಿಂಸೆಯ ಬಾರವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಡುವುದು, ಮೃಗಪಶುಗಳ ನಾಶನವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆದರಿಸುವುದು; ನೀನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ, ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ, ಅವುಗಳ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿರುವೆ. ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಡುವುದು.
18 “What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?
೧೮ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಕೆತ್ತುವವನ ವಿಗ್ರಹವಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಎರಕದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಗೊಂಬೆಗಳಿಂದಾಗಲಿ ಲಾಭವೇನು? ಹಾಗೆ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸುವವರು ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವವರು; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಆ ನಿರ್ಜೀವ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸದ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.’
19 Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ or to the mute stone, ‘Arise!’ Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all within it.
೧೯‘ಮರದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೋ,’ ಜಡವಾದ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ, ‘ಎದ್ದೇಳು’ ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಡುವವನು ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು. ಇಂಥ ಬೊಂಬೆಯು ಬೋಧಿಸೀತೇ? ಇಗೋ, ಆ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಆದರೂ ಅದರೊಳಗೆ ಜೀವವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
20 But the LORD is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!”
೨೦ಆದರೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಭೂಲೋಕವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೌನವಾಗಿರಲಿ.”
