< Psalms 128 >

1 A Song of Ascents. Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways.
Canticum graduum. Beati omnes, qui timent Dominum, qui ambulant in viis eius.
2 For you will eat the labour of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you.
Labores manuum tuarum quia manducabis: beatus es, et bene tibi erit.
3 Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive shoots around your table.
Uxor tua sicut vitis abundans, in lateribus domus tuæ. Filii tui sicut novellæ olivarum, in circuitu mensæ tuæ.
4 Behold, this is how the man who fears the LORD is blessed.
Ecce sic benedicetur homo, qui timet Dominum.
5 May the LORD bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
Benedicat tibi Dominus ex Sion: et videas bona Ierusalem omnibus diebus vitæ tuæ.
6 Yes, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.
Et videas filios filiorum tuorum, pacem super Israel.
