1 Peter 5
1 Therefore I exhort the elders amongst you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Messiah, and who will also share in the glory that will be revealed:
第二項 牧師及び信徒に関する特別の勧告。 汝等の中の長老には、我も共に長老として、又キリストの苦難の證人として、将來顕るべき光榮に與る者として希ふ。
2 shepherd the flock of God which is amongst you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily; not for dishonest gain, but willingly;
汝等の中に在る所の神の羊の群を牧せよ、之を監督するに、強ひられてせずして喜びて神の御為にし、耻かしき利の為にせずして特志を以て行ひ、
3 not as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.
托せられたる人々を壓制せずして、心より群の模範と成るべし。
4 When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn’t fade away.
然らば大牧者の顕れ給はん時、汝等凋まざる光榮の冠を得べし。
5 Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility and subject yourselves to one another; for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
若き者よ、汝等も亦長老に服せよ、皆互に謙遜を帯びよ、神は傲慢なる者に逆らひて、謙遜なる者に恩寵を賜へばなり。
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,
然れば汝等、神の全能なる御手の下に謙れ、然せば時至りて彼汝等を高め給はん。
7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
思ひ煩ふ所を悉く神に委ね奉れ、神は汝等の為に慮り給へばなり。
8 Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
汝等節制して警戒せよ、其は汝等の仇なる惡魔は、吼ゆる獅子の如く、食盡すべきものを探しつつ行廻ればなり、
9 Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.
汝等此世に在る兄弟等の同じく苦しめる事を知りて、信仰に心を堅めて之に抵抗せよ。
10 But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Messiah Yeshua, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. (aiōnios g166)
一切の恩寵の神はキリスト、イエズスによりて其永遠の光榮に汝等を呼び給ひしものなれば、聊苦しみたる上は、御自ら完全にし堅うし強からしめ給はん、 (aiōnios g166)
光榮と主権と世々之に歸す、アメン。 (aiōn g165)
12 Through Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.
結末。 忠信なる兄弟シルヴァノを以て我が汝等に書贈りし所は、我思ふに簡単なり。是此神の恩寵の眞なる事を勧告し、且保證するもののにして、汝等宜しく之に立つべし。
13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, greets you. So does Mark, my son.
汝等と共に選まれてバビロンに在る教會、及び我子マルコは汝等に宜しくと言へり。
14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to all of you who are in Messiah Yeshua. Amen.
愛の接吻を以て互に宜しく傳へよ。願はくは、キリストに在る汝等一同に平安あらん事を、アメン。
