Titus 3

1 Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,

١ ذَكِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْ يَخْضَعُوا لِلْحُكَّامِ وَالسُّلُطَاتِ، وَيُطِيعُوا الْقَانُونَ، وَيَكُونُوا مُسْتَعِدِّينَ لِكُلِّ عَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ،

2 to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men.

٢ وَلاَ يَقُولُوا سُوءاً فِي أَحَدٍ، وَلاَ يَكُونُوا مُخَاصِمِينَ، بَلْ لُطَفَاءَ يُعَامِلُونَ الْجَمِيعَ بِوَدَاعَةٍ تَامَّةٍ.

3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

٣ فَإِنَّنَا نَحْنُ أَيْضاً كُنَّا فِي الْمَاضِي جُهَّالاً، غَيْرَ مُطِيعِينَ، تَائِهِينَ فِي الضَّلاَلِ، عَبِيداً يَخْدِمُونَ الشَّهَوَاتِ وَاللَّذَّاتِ الْمُخْتَلِفَةَ، نَعِيشُ فِي الْخُبْثِ وَالْحَسَدِ، مَكْرُوهِينَ، وَكَارِهِينَ بَعْضُنَا لِبَعْضٍ.

4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,

٤ وَلَكِنْ، لَمَّا ظَهَرَ لُطْفُ مُخَلِّصِنَا اللهِ، وَمَحَبَّتُهُ لِلنَّاسِ،

5 not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

٥ خَلَّصَنَا، لاَ عَلَى أَسَاسِ أَعْمَالِ بِرٍّ قُمْنَا بِهَا نَحْنُ، وَإِنَّمَا بِمُوجِبِ رَحْمَتِهِ، وَذَلِكَ بِأَنْ غَسَلَنَا كُلِّيّاً غُسْلَ الْخَلِيقَةِ الْجَدِيدَةِ وَالتَّجْدِيدِ الَّذِي يُجْرِيهِ الرُّوحُ الْقُدُسُ،

6 whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

٦ الَّذِي سَكَبَهُ عَلَيْنَا بِغِنىً بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ مُخَلِّصِنَا.

7 that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)

٧ حَتَّى إِذَا تَبَرَّرْنَا بِنِعْمَتِهِ، نَصِيرُ وَرَثَةً، وَفْقاً لِرَجَائِنَا بِالْحَيَاةِ الأَبَدِيَّةِ. (aiōnios g166)

8 This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you insist confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men;

٨ صَادِقٌ هَذَا الْقَوْلُ! وَأُرِيدُ أَنْ تُقَرِّرَ هَذِهِ الأُمُورَ قَرَاراً حَاسِماً، حَتَّى يَهْتَمَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللهِ بِأَنْ يَجْتَهِدُوا فِي الأَعْمَالِ الصَّالِحَةِ. هَذِهِ الأُمُورُ حَسَنَةٌ وَنَافِعَةٌ لِلنَّاسِ.

9 but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

٩ أَمَّا الْمَسَائِلُ السَّخِيفَةُ، وَسَلاَسِلُ النَّسَبِ، وَالْمُخَاصَمَاتُ، وَالْمُنَازَعَاتُ حَوْلَ الشَّرِيعَةِ، فَتَجَنَّبْهَا، لأَنَّهَا غَيْرُ نَافِعَةٍ، وَبَاطِلَةٌ.

10 Avoid a factious man after a first and second warning,

١٠ وَصَاحِبُ الْهَرْطَقَةِ اقْطَعِ الْعَلاَقَةَ بِهِ بَعْدَ إِنْذَارِهِ أَوَّلاً وَثَانِياً،

11 knowing that such a one is perverted and sinful, being self-condemned.

١١ عَالِماً أَنَّ مِثْلَ هَذَا مُنْحَرِفٌ يَمْضِي فِي الْخَطِيئَةِ وَقَدْ حَكَمَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بِنَفْسِهِ!

12 When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me to Nicopolis, for I have determined to winter there.

١٢ حَالَمَا أُرْسِلُ إِلَيْكَ أَرْتِمَاسَ أَوْ تِيخِيكُسَ، اجْتَهِدْ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي إِلَى مَدِينَةِ نِيكُوبُولِيسَ، لأَنِّي قَرَّرْتُ أَنْ أُقَضِّيَ فَصْلَ الشِّتَاءِ هُنَاكَ.

13 Send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey speedily, that nothing may be lacking for them.

١٣ اجْتَهِدْ فِي إِطْلاَقِ زِينَاسَ الْمُحَامِي وَأَبُلُّوسَ بَعْدَ تَزْوِيدِهِمَا لِلسَّفَرِ، حَتَّى لاَ يَحْتَاجَا إِلَى شَيْءٍ.

14 Let our people also learn to maintain good works to meet necessary needs, that they may not be unfruitful.

١٤ وَلْيَتَعَلَّمْ ذَوُونَا أَيْضاً أَنْ يُمَارِسُوا أَعْمَالاً حَسَنَةً، لِسَدِّ الْحَاجَاتِ الضَّرُورِيَّةِ، لِكَيْ لاَ يَكُونُوا عَدِيمِي الثَّمَرِ.

15 All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.

١٥ جَمِيعُ الَّذِينَ مَعِي يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْكَ. سَلِّمْ عَلَى مُحِبِّينَا فِي الإِيمَانِ. لِتَكُنِ النِّعْمَةُ مَعَكُمْ جَمِيعاً!
