Ruth 3

1 Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?

१रूथची सासू नामी तिला म्हणाली, “माझ्या मुली, तुझे चांगले होऊन तुला विसाव्यासाठी एखादे स्थळ मिळावे म्हणून मला शोध करावयास नको काय?

2 Now isn’t Boaz our kinsman, with whose maidens you were? Behold, he will be winnowing barley tonight on the threshing floor.

२तर हे पाहा, ज्याच्या नोकरीणींबरोबर तू राहिलीस तो बवाज आपला नातलग नव्हे काय? तो आज रात्री खळ्यात सातू उफणणार आहे.

3 Therefore wash yourself, anoint yourself, get dressed, and go down to the threshing floor; but don’t make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking.

३तर तू शुद्ध हो, सुगंधीत तेल लाव आणि वस्त्र बदलून खळ्यात जा, पण त्याचे खाणेपिणे संपेपर्यंत तू त्याच्या नजरेला पडू नकोस.

4 It shall be, when he lies down, that you shall note the place where he is lying. Then you shall go in, uncover his feet, and lie down. Then he will tell you what to do.”

४तो कोठे झोपतो ते पाहून ठेव आणि तो झोपला म्हणजे तू जाऊन त्याच्या पायावरचे पांघरूण काढून तेथे झोपून राहा. मग काय करावयाचे ते तोच तुला सांगेल.”

5 She said to her, “All that you say, I will do.”

५ती म्हणाली, “तुम्ही सांगता ते सर्व मी करीन.”

6 She went down to the threshing floor, and did everything that her mother-in-law told her.

६तिने खळ्यात गेल्यावर आपल्या सासूच्या सांगण्याप्रमाणे केले.

7 When Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of grain. She came softly, uncovered his feet, and lay down.

७खाणेपिणे झाल्यावर त्याचे मन प्रसन्न होऊन तो जाऊन धान्याच्या राशीच्या बाजूला झोपला. मग ती गुपचूप जाऊन बवाजाच्या पायावरचे पांघरूण काढून तेथे झोपली.

8 At midnight, the man was startled and turned himself; and behold, a woman lay at his feet.

८मग मध्यरात्र झाल्यावर तो दचकून जागा झाला आणि वर डोके करून पाहतो तो आपल्या पायापाशी कोणी स्त्री झोपलेली आहे असे त्याच्या दृष्टीला पडले.

9 He said, “Who are you?” She answered, “I am Ruth your servant. Therefore spread the corner of your garment over your servant; for you are a near kinsman.”

९तेव्हा तो तिला म्हणाला, “तू कोण आहेस?” ती म्हणाली, “मी आपली दासी रूथ आहे, या आपल्या दासीला आपल्या पांघरूणाखाली घ्या. कारण आमचे वतन सोडविण्याचा अधिकार आपल्याला आहे.”

10 He said, “You are blessed by Yahweh, my daughter. You have shown more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, because you didn’t follow young men, whether poor or rich.

१०तो म्हणाला, “मुली, परमेश्वर तुझे कल्याण करो, तू पहिल्यापेक्षा दुसऱ्या वेळेस अधिक प्रेमळपणा दाखविलास; कारण धनवान किंवा गरीब अशा कोणत्याही तरुणाच्या मागे तू गेली नाहीस.

11 Now, my daughter, don’t be afraid. I will do to you all that you say; for all the city of my people knows that you are a worthy woman.

११तर मुली भिऊ नकोस, तू म्हणतेस तसे मी तुझ्यासंबंधाने करतो; कारण माझ्या गावच्या सर्व लोकांस माहीत आहे की तू सदगुणी स्त्री आहेस.

12 Now it is true that I am a near kinsman. However, there is a kinsman nearer than I.

१२मी तुझे वतन सोडवावयास जवळचा नातलग आहे खरा, तथापि माझ्याहूनही जवळचा आणखी एक नातलग आहे.

13 Stay this night, and in the morning, if he will perform for you the part of a kinsman, good. Let him do the kinsman’s duty. But if he will not do the duty of a kinsman for you, then I will do the duty of a kinsman for you, as Yahweh lives. Lie down until the morning.”

१३तू रात्रभर येथे राहा आणि सकाळी तो तुझ्यासंबंधाने नातलगाचे काम करण्यास तयार झाला तर बरेच आहे, त्यास ते करू दे. पण तुझ्यासंबंधाने तो नातलगाचे काम करण्यास तयार झाला नाही, तर परमेश्वराच्या जिविताची शपथ, ते मी करीन. सकाळपर्यंत झोपून राहा.”

14 She lay at his feet until the morning, then she rose up before one could discern another. For he said, “Let it not be known that the woman came to the threshing floor.”

१४ती त्याच्या पायाशी झोपून राहिली आणि मग मनुष्य मनुष्यास ओळखेल इतके उजाडेल त्याच्या अगोदर उठली, कारण बवाजाने तिला सांगितले होते की खळ्यात कोणी स्त्री आली होती हे कोणाला कळता कामा नये.

15 He said, “Bring the mantle that is on you, and hold it.” She held it; and he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her; then he went into the city.

१५तो तिला म्हणाला, “तुझ्या अंगावरची चादर आणून पसरून धर.” तिने ती पसरल्यावर त्याने सहा मापे सातू मोजून तिच्या पदरात टाकले व तिच्या खांद्यावर ठेवले. मग तो गावात गेला.

16 When she came to her mother-in-law, she said, “How did it go, my daughter?” She told her all that the man had done for her.

१६सासूकडे ती आली तेव्हा ती तिला म्हणाली, “माझ्या मुली, कसे काय झाले?” तेव्हा त्या मनुष्याने जे केले ते तिने तिला सगळे सांगितले.

17 She said, “He gave me these six measures of barley; for he said, ‘Don’t go empty to your mother-in-law.’”

१७तिने सांगितले, “सहा मापे सातू त्याने मला दिले. तो म्हणाला, ‘आपल्या सासूकडे रिकाम्या हाताने जाऊ नको.’”

18 Then she said, “Wait, my daughter, until you know what will happen; for the man will not rest until he has settled this today.”

१८ती म्हणाली, “मुली, या गोष्टींचा कसा काय परिणाम होतो हे समजेपर्यंत तू स्वस्थ राहा. कारण आज तो मनुष्य या गोष्टीचा शेवट लावल्याशिवाय शांत राहणार नाही.”
