< Romans 6 >

1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Azɔ nu ka gblɔ ge míala? Ɖe míaganɔ nu vɔ̃ wɔwɔ dzi be Mawu nanɔ nublanui kpɔm na mí to míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo tsɔtsɔke mea?
2 May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
Gbeɖe! Aleke mí ame siwo ku na nu vɔ̃ la aganɔ agbe le nu vɔ̃ me mahã?
3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
Alo ɖe mienyae be mí ame siwo katã wode mawutsi ta na le Kristo Yesu me la, wodee na mí ɖe eƒe ku me oa?
4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Eya ta esi wode mawutsi ta na mí ɖe eƒe ku me la, woɖi mí kpakplii, bena abe ale si wofɔ Kristo ɖe tsitre tso ame kukuwo dome to Fofo la ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe me ene la, nenema ke míawo hã míazɔ le agbe ƒe yeyenyenye me.
5 For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;
Eya ta ne míezu ɖeka kplii, eye míesɔ kplii le eƒe ku me la, ekema míasɔ kplii le eƒe tsitretsitsi hã me.
6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
Elabena míenya be woklã míaƒe nɔnɔme xoxoawo ɖe atitsoga ŋu kplii, bena woaɖe ŋutilã si dzi nu vɔ̃ ɖu fia ɖo la ɖa, be míaganye kluvi na nu vɔ̃ azɔ o.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
Elabena ame sia ame si ku la, woɖee tso nu vɔ̃ si me.
8 But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him,
Azɔ ne míeku kple Kristo la, míexɔe se be míanɔ agbe kplii hã.
9 knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over him!
Elabena míenya be esi wofɔ Kristo ɖe tsitre tso ame kukuwo dome la, magaku akpɔ o; ku magaɖu fia ɖe edzi akpɔ o.
10 For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
Esi wòku la, eku na nu vɔ̃ zi ɖeka hɔ̃ɔ ko ɖe ɣeyiɣiawo katã nu; ke esi wòle agbe la, ele agbe na Mawu.
11 Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nenema ke miawo hã mibu mia ɖokuiwo be yewoku na nu vɔ̃, gake yewole agbe na Mawu le Kristo Yesu me.
12 Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
Eya ta migana nu vɔ̃ nakpɔ ŋusẽ ɖe miaƒe ŋutilã si le kuku ge la dzi, be miawɔ ɖe eƒe nudzodzro vɔ̃wo dzi o.
13 Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
Migatsɔ miaƒe ŋutilã ƒe akpa aɖeke wɔ vɔ̃ɖivɔ̃ɖinyenye ƒe dɔwɔnu na nu vɔ̃ o, ke boŋ mitsɔ mia ɖokuiwo na Mawu abe ame siwo wogbɔ agbe tso ku me ene; eye mitsɔ miaƒe ŋutilã ƒe akpa sia akpa ɖo anyi nɛ abe dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe dɔwɔnu ene.
14 For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
Esia ta nu vɔ̃ magaɖu fia ɖe mia dzi azɔ o, elabena miegale se la ƒe kpɔkplɔ te o, ke boŋ miele amenuveve la ƒe kpɔkplɔ te.
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
Ekema aleke wòle? Esi míegale se la ƒe kpɔkplɔ te o, ke boŋ míele amenuveve la ƒe kpɔkplɔ te ɖe, ɖe míaganɔ nu vɔ̃ wɔwɔ dzi mahã? Gbeɖe!
16 Don’t you know that when you present yourselves as servants and obey someone, you are the servants of whomever you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
Ɖe mienyae bena ne mietsɔ mia ɖokui wɔ kluvi na ame aɖe, be miaɖo toe la, miezu kluvi na ame si mieɖoa toe la, eɖanye kluviwo na nu vɔ̃ hena ku alo kluviwo na toɖoɖo hena dzɔdzɔenyenye o mahã?
17 But thanks be to God that, whereas you were bondservants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were delivered.
Ke mida akpe na Mawu be togbɔ be mienye kluviwo na nu vɔ̃ tsã hã la, azɔ la, mietsɔa miaƒe dzi xɔa nufiafia si wotsɔ mi de asi na la.
18 Being made free from sin, you became bondservants of righteousness.
Woxɔ mi le nu vɔ̃ si me hewɔ mi ablɔɖeviwoe, eye miezu dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe kluviwo.
19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh; for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.
Mele gbe sia gbe ƒe nudzɔdzɔwo ƒe kpɔɖeŋuwo zãm le nu ƒom na mi ɖe miaƒe ŋutilã ƒe gbɔdzɔgbɔdzɔ ta. Elabena zi ale si mietsɔ mia ɖokuiwo wɔ kluviwo na makɔmakɔnyenye kple vɔ̃ɖivɔ̃ɖinyenye tsã la, nenema ke azɔ la, mitsɔ mia ɖokuiwo wɔ dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe kluviwo hena kɔkɔenyenye.
20 For when you were servants of sin, you were free from righteousness.
Elabena esime mienye kluviwo na nu vɔ̃ tsã la, mienɔ dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe kpɔkplɔ te o.
21 What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
Ekema viɖe ka miekpɔ ɣe ma ɣi tso nu siwo le ŋu kpem na mi azɔ la me? Nu mawo katã kplɔa mí yia ku me!
22 But now, being made free from sin and having become servants of God, you have your fruit of sanctification and the result of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Ke azɔ esi woxɔ mi tso nu vɔ̃ si me hewɔ mi ablɔɖeviwoe, eye miezu Mawu ƒe kluviwo la, miekpɔa viɖe hena kɔkɔenyenye; ke nuwuwu la nye agbe mavɔ. (aiōnios g166)
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
Elabena nu vɔ̃ ƒe fetue nye ku, ke Mawu ƒe amenuveve ƒe nunana lae nye agbe mavɔ to Kristo Yesu, míaƒe Aƒetɔ la me. (aiōnios g166)
