1 Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
he paraduu. saka manu. sya ya. h ka"scana tva. m bhavasi tavottaradaanaaya panthaa naasti yato yasmaat karmma. na. h parastvayaa duu. syate tasmaat tvamapi duu. syase, yatasta. m duu. sayannapi tva. m tadvad aacarasi|
2 We know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.
kintvetaad. rgaacaaribhyo ya. m da. n.dam ii"svaro ni"scinoti sa yathaartha iti vaya. m jaaniima. h|
3 Do you think this, O man who judges those who practice such things, and do the same, that you will escape the judgment of God?
ataeva he maanu. sa tva. m yaad. rgaacaari. no duu. sayasi svaya. m yadi taad. rgaacarasi tarhi tvam ii"svarada. n.daat palaayitu. m "sak. syasiiti ki. m budhyase?
4 Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
apara. m tava manasa. h parivarttana. m karttum i"svarasyaanugraho bhavati tanna buddhvaa tva. m ki. m tadiiyaanugrahak. samaacirasahi. s.nutvanidhi. m tucchiikaro. si?
5 But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath, revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God,
tathaa svaanta. hkara. nasya ka. thoratvaat khedaraahityaacce"svarasya nyaayyavicaaraprakaa"sanasya krodhasya ca dina. m yaavat ki. m svaartha. m kopa. m sa ncino. si?
6 who “will pay back to everyone according to their works:”
kintu sa ekaikamanujaaya tatkarmmaanusaare. na pratiphala. m daasyati;
7 to those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life; (aiōnios g166)
vastutastu ye janaa dhairyya. m dh. rtvaa satkarmma kurvvanto mahimaa satkaaro. amaratva ncaitaani m. rgayante tebhyo. anantaayu rdaasyati| (aiōnios g166)
8 but to those who are self-seeking and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath, indignation,
apara. m ye janaa. h satyadharmmam ag. rhiitvaa vipariitadharmmam g. rhlanti taad. r"saa virodhijanaa. h kopa. m krodha nca bhok. syante|
9 oppression, and anguish on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
aa yihuudino. anyade"sina. h paryyanta. m yaavanta. h kukarmmakaari. na. h praa. nina. h santi te sarvve du. hkha. m yaatanaa nca gami. syanti;
10 But glory, honor, and peace go to every man who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
kintu aa yihuudino bhinnade"siparyyantaa yaavanta. h satkarmmakaari. no lokaa. h santi taan prati mahimaa satkaara. h "saanti"sca bhavi. syanti|
11 For there is no partiality with God.
ii"svarasya vicaare pak. sapaato naasti|
12 For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
alabdhavyavasthaa"saastrai ryai. h paapaani k. rtaani vyavasthaa"saastraalabdhatvaanuruupaste. saa. m vinaa"so bhavi. syati; kintu labdhavyavasthaa"saastraa ye paapaanyakurvvan vyavasthaanusaaraadeva te. saa. m vicaaro bhavi. syati|
13 For it isn’t the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified
vyavasthaa"srotaara ii"svarasya samiipe ni. spaapaa bhavi. syantiiti nahi kintu vyavasthaacaari. na eva sapu. nyaa bhavi. syanti|
14 (for when Gentiles who don’t have the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are a law to themselves,
yato. alabdhavyavasthaa"saastraa bhinnade"siiyalokaa yadi svabhaavato vyavasthaanuruupaan aacaaraan kurvvanti tarhyalabdha"saastraa. h santo. api te sve. saa. m vyavasthaa"saastramiva svayameva bhavanti|
15 in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying with them, and their thoughts among themselves accusing or else excusing them)

16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men, according to my Good News, by Jesus Christ.
yasmin dine mayaa prakaa"sitasya susa. mvaadasyaanusaaraad ii"svaro yii"sukhrii. s.tena maanu. saa. naam anta. hkara. naanaa. m guu. dhaabhipraayaan dh. rtvaa vicaarayi. syati tasmin vicaaradine tat prakaa"si. syate|
17 Indeed you bear the name of a Jew, rest on the law, glory in God,

18 know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,
ii"svaramuddi"sya sva. m "slaaghase, tathaa vyavasthayaa "sik. sito bhuutvaa tasyaabhimata. m jaanaasi, sarvvaasaa. m kathaanaa. m saara. m vivi. mk. se,
19 and are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,
apara. m j naanasya satyataayaa"scaakarasvaruupa. m "saastra. m mama samiipe vidyata ato. andhalokaanaa. m maargadar"sayitaa
20 a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babies, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.

21 You therefore who teach another, don’t you teach yourself? You who preach that a man shouldn’t steal, do you steal?
paraan "sik. sayan svaya. m sva. m ki. m na "sik. sayasi? vastuta"scauryyani. sedhavyavasthaa. m pracaarayan tva. m ki. m svayameva corayasi?
22 You who say a man shouldn’t commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?
tathaa paradaaragamana. m prati. sedhan svaya. m ki. m paradaaraan gacchasi? tathaa tva. m svaya. m pratimaadve. sii san ki. m mandirasya dravyaa. ni harasi?
23 You who glory in the law, do you dishonor God by disobeying the law?
yastva. m vyavasthaa. m "slaaghase sa tva. m ki. m vyavasthaam avamatya ne"svara. m sammanyase?
24 For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.
"saastre yathaa likhati "bhinnade"sinaa. m samiipe yu. smaaka. m do. saad ii"svarasya naamno nindaa bhavati|"
25 For circumcision indeed profits, if you are a doer of the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.
yadi vyavasthaa. m paalayasi tarhi tava tvakchedakriyaa saphalaa bhavati; yati vyavasthaa. m la"nghase tarhi tava tvakchedo. atvakchedo bhavi. syati|
26 If therefore the uncircumcised keep the ordinances of the law, won’t his uncircumcision be accounted as circumcision?
yato vyavasthaa"saastraadi. s.tadharmmakarmmaacaarii pumaan atvakchedii sannapi ki. m tvakchedinaa. m madhye na ga. nayi. syate?
27 Won’t those who are physically uncircumcised, but fulfill the law, judge you, who with the letter and circumcision are a transgressor of the law?
kintu labdha"saastra"schinnatvak ca tva. m yadi vyavasthaala"nghana. m karo. si tarhi vyavasthaapaalakaa. h svaabhaavikaacchinnatvaco lokaastvaa. m ki. m na duu. sayi. syanti?
28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh;
tasmaad yo baahye yihuudii sa yihuudii nahi tathaa"ngasya yastvakcheda. h sa tvakchedo nahi;
29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.
kintu yo jana aantariko yihuudii sa eva yihuudii apara nca kevalalikhitayaa vyavasthayaa na kintu maanasiko yastvakchedo yasya ca pra"sa. msaa manu. syebhyo na bhuutvaa ii"svaraad bhavati sa eva tvakcheda. h|
